god damn
there's few things I love more than reading TVD Jim's backstory. Every scene with Jim is perfect. Typical rather simple but highly effective lines, unbelievable character work and some fantastic dialogue. Tight, well-structured, meaningful and just such a delight (:P).
Must read. The scene with the prof and little Jimmy? Jimmy with the Father? Jimmy with Caro? Oh my, kid Jimmy with his mom??? I can't even pick my favourite. I particularly enjoyed the scenes when they were still kids. Sebastian's parents were a great addition and honestly every single OC in this story and TVD fits right in like they were always in the show to begin with. Not a single complaint from someone who always has something to whine about! Oh, and I love the choice to see them through other characters, not their own pov. It makes this so much more intriguing to read. In TVD we spend all this time in Seb's head and seeing him from a different pov and Jim from so many povs as he's growing up is immensely satisfying -

Oh fuck me. I love these characters so much this hurt to read because I know it would end. Jesus. This author could stab me and I'd thank them. Their writing is so beautiful and just right. Everything's right. I'm so glad I've found them.
The side characters feel like real people and the main couple are so flawed and beautiful. There's something so charming and smart and sharp that just makes you never want to leave these story's. It's a loss every time I finish a story in this collection. Beautiful.
