Work Text:

When Bakugou saw Kirishima crying for the first time, he didn’t expect it. The boy was standing at the counter with a knife in hand when the blonde walked up behind him and called out his name. Kirishima turned around and Bakugou came face to face with two teary ruby eyes.

Seeing the sight, air stuck in the blonde’s lungs and, for a moment, it was hard to breath. A thousand thoughts ran through his mind, but one of them was more vivid than all the others – finding the person who made the redhead cry and fucking kill them.

”Who did it?” He asked on a low, dangerous voice and Kirishima tilted his head. ”Who made you cry?”

Kirishima’s eyes widened for a second, then he burst out laughing. He laughed so hard he doubled over to catch his breath. After he had finished laughing, he stood up straight once again and sent Bakugou a blinding smile.

”It’s not like that, Bakugou,” he explained, still giggling a bit. ”It is just because of the onions,” he said, nodding towards the counter.

Bakugou followed the nod and saw four onions there – three of them already being chopped up. His eyes twitched, knowing that he made a total idiot of himself with his sudden emotional outburst.

”I’ve never seen such fucking poor work in the kitchen all my life!” He spat to cover his embarrassment. Kirishima knew that and just smile.

Bakugou turned towards the counter, then snatched the knife out of the other boy’s hand. He leaned above the last onion and chopped it with such experience Kirishima felt his jaw drop. On finishing his work, Bakugou looked back at him with a look in his eyes that said ’This is how it’s done, idiot!’. Sure enough, the vegetable was copped up as if a professional would’ve done it.

”Wow, bro! This is awesome!” Kirishima exclaimed, clapping his hands together. He beamed at the blonde boy and Bakugou felt a blush creeping up on his neck and looked away quickly.

”Whatever!” He barked, leaving the kitchen with a huff.
