The man's eyes finally land on Bucky who meets his gaze head on and the man about spits out his drink everywhere. Bucky would bet it would hit the bartender across the bar if he tried.
Steve hits his shoulder, "Buck, don't intimidate people. He's just having a drink."
The guy runs out and Bucky smirks, "Not now he isn't."
Steve smacks him again.
Or: Bucky Barnes has some strange experiences for a man in the 40's. He sure isn't in Brooklyn anymore, that's for certain.

Summary
It was supposed to be Sam out here running end to end across the globe looking for Bucky Barnes. It wasn't supposed to be Sam waking up to find out the missing amnesiac has been taking liberties with his phone while he sleeps. The first mistake he makes is misinterpreting Bucky's intentions, the second is maybe getting a little too attached, but is that one really a mistake?

Summary
Sam allows himself a second to let out a slow breath, willing himself to calm down. It’s not as if he hasn’t noticed it happening. The way that somewhere along the line, their bickering turned into banter - the way that these days, they sometimes toe the line where it might not even be just banter anymore. Bucky is no idiot (actually, scratch that, he’s most definitely an idiot, but not that kind of idiot), and Sam can’t help but think that he must have noticed too, can’t help but think that some of the things Bucky does are...deliberate. As deliberate as some of the things Sam does.
Does he hope they’re both being deliberate? Definitely. Is this undercover-with-no-cover operation the right time to try to figure it out? Absolutely not.
“Sir?” says the driver, meeting his eyes in the rearview mirror. “There are other cars waiting.”
“Yeah, sorry,” says Sam, rolling his neck and steeling himself. “Come on, Wilson,” he says under his breath. “You can be a little bit of a spy.”
