Work Text:
Sometimes, as small treat is all the soul craves. In this case, such craving were sweets. Luckily, the universe was on your side these days as you found an ongoing sale for the sweets on a particular site of yours. Pocky. Seeing the generous discount, you decided to order a variety of different flavors, hoping to try exotic ones as well as keeping the common flavors, such as banana and chocolate ones.
You decided to start with a banana flavored one, opening the box as you approached a couch. Putting the small box on the table next to the couch, you lied down. Reaching and taking out one pocky, you quickly bit it, enjoying the taste. As you did so, you eyed the figure before you. Your complete attention now on the man.
Weather was sitting on the opposite of the couch, immersed in a book he was reading. Looking at cover, you. A thought came upon you as you eyed your muscular boyfriend. Yet a voice of uncertainty spoke within you, worried that he might not agree to it.
A pocky game. As corny as it sounded, a small (probably huge) part of you wanted to try something as cute as playing a pocky game with your boyfriend.
Despite being together for quite some time, Weather was still getting used to the affection. At first, he felt unsure of what to do when you gave hug, kissed his cheek. But you always asked if it was okay to do so, reassuring him that his presence is always welcomed beside you and that he didn’t need to be affectionate or force himself to mirror your actions. Instead, you simply showed him your appreciation, whether with words of small actions. To some, it might seem as weird but as long as Weather was comfortable, it was all that mattered. He did open up to you a little. There were small steps but steps nonetheless.
You were willing to try and ask him, as you called for the man.
“Hey, Weather, do you wanna play?” you showed him the candy as he turned his attention towards you after finishing a passage. Weather’s eyes showed confusion as his eyebrow was raised. He couldn’t catch on what game was that supposed to be.
“What is it?” he motioned to the candy, now sitting up.
“Pocky”
“I think I’ve heard of such snack but not the game. How do you play it?” he moved a little closer, eyeing the box.
“Well…” you were unsure if you should stick to your idea. But seeing Weather’s interested gaze, you decided to try your luck “Each of us bites the end of the stick and we move closer to each other and…whoever will break it the stick or turn away first – loses,” you finished, quickly turning to him fully.
“You don’t have to play, of course,” you explained “I don’t want to make you uncomfortable” finished, you looked at Weather.
The man before you was curiously eyeing the box. He then looked at you.
“Sounds pretty easy. Let’s play,” Weather sounded excited.
Smiling at his answer, you moved closer to him.
“Okay, which flavour do you want? I have other ones the kitchen table, if you don’t want the banana-flavored ones,” you motioned to the kitchen in case he decided to check out other sweets.
“Those are quite alright,” Weather took one out, trying the banana-flavoured stick, confirming his decision as he took one out and put in his mouth. He then turned to you, asking a silent question, raising his eyebrow a little.
Feeling slight nervous, you moved to sit closer so you can be on the same level of the pocky, biting the other end of the sweet candy.
“Are you ready?” Weather mumbled. You could only nod as all of your attention was on his handsome features, making you gulp a little at the reminder that you two were about to possibly kiss. Possibly.
You mirrored his action and took a bite, moving slowly closer to the centre of the pocky. You felt your cheeks warm up a little as you two itched closer to each other with each bite. Weather’s face didn’t particularly show many emotions, though the slightest of blush could be seen on his cheeks.
As you two were just one bite away from your lips meeting, you thought you could see the tiniest of the smiles on Weather’s face as the man itched closer.
Cute
As you two bit into the last remaining parts of the pocky, your heartbeat speed up as you looked into Weather’s eyes. Full of love and affection. He closed his eyes, itching closer to finally kiss you. His lips were a little chapped as he tilted his head for a better angle. You sighted into a kiss, feeling Weather bring his cold hand against your now warm cheek as you eased into the kiss, putting your hands on his strong shoulders. Weather, in turn, shyly wrapped his arms around your waist, bringing you closer to him as you felt him carefully biting your lower lip.
As you two reluctantly ended the kiss, you felt your cheeks burn from the proximity and the experience, making you hug him closer, hiding away in his neck, pleasantly sighing.
“Why are you shying away, my sunshine?” you suddenly heard Weather whisper in your ear, his voice as quiet and gentle as ever.
“Well, it was incredible, what else can I say, Weather?” you answered, flustered a littler as you could hear a small chuckle “I hope I didn’t make you uncomfortable, since, you know…” you explained, earning a small squeeze from the man.
“No, it’s alright. I am happy to have kissed you,” Weather said as blunt as ever, a small smile appearing on his delicate face.
“I could say the same,” you chuckled, relieved at his answer.
Suddenly, you felt yourself being placed on his lap as Weather’s arms wrapped around you in a gentle manner, holding you closer. Deciding to be a little bit eager and braver, you lifted yourself in order to plant a kiss on his cheek.
“Thank you for trusting me,” you said, hugging the man closer.
You felt him nuzzle your cheek, returning the gesture as you felt a warm kiss on your cheek.
“You know,” you heard Weather whisper into your ear “we should try all the flavors.”
You could help but to blush yet smiling at the same time as you felt one of his arms unwrap and reach for another box situated on the small table.
“We should”
