Bryan nearly gives Leon a heart attack when he lifts his shirt and shows a haphazardly stuffed handgun that's sticking out of the waistband of his jeans.
“Don't put that there,” Leon says hurriedly, willing his heart to calm down. He keeps imagining the horror of it going off and blowing clean through Bryan's femur. “And - hey, wait. That's a standard glock that's issued to all American officers. Did you steal that?”
Bryan at least has the decency to blush in embarrassment as he hastily shoves the hem of his shirt back down.

Bryan Hodukavich is having a bad day. His girlfriend dumped him over the phone, he no longer has a home to go back to, and now dispatch wants him to haul a mystery package up the mountain to Raccoon City. Double pay. He says no.
The universe disagrees.
The world freezes mid-breath, and a dialog box blinks into existence: *Abandon Quest?* Bryan clicks *Yes* five times.
*Quest abandonment is unavailable during the Prologue.*
So now he can see everyone's level floating above their heads. Food heals him, no matter which sewer it came out of. He can dial his pain down to zero, pull a shotgun out of a messenger bag that has no business holding one, and when he dies, he just respawns at the last typewriter.
Honestly? It's kind of great.
Too bad everyone around him is starting to think he's an alien sent to colonize Earth.
