Summary
The sound is akin to an earthquake now, or a giant, and Meng Yao’s heart pounds in equal parts fear and exhilaration, as something slowly comes into view in the far distance. Squinting, he strains to make out the shape of the figure obscured by mountain mist and fog.
The figure becomes clearer as it draws nearer, and Meng Yao’s breath catches in his throat.
There is a castle nestled in the fog. That, on its own, is not a terribly strange sight.
No, what makes the vision strange, is that the castle is moving right in front of Meng Yao’s eyes as if it is a living, breathing entity.
