"Alright, kids remember the talent show is coming up in a month! We can't wait to see what great acts y'all will bring to the table this year!" Present Mic's raspy voice resonated within the walls of UA as he delivered the daily announcements.
"I can't wait!"
"I wonder who's going to perform?"
"Maybe I should try out!"
Everyone in class 1-A started blurting out in excitement their feelings about the upcoming event. Aoyama started going off about how wanted to do a light show with his navel laser and Tokoyami mentioned something about wanting to a performance with Dark Shadow.
Out of everyone in 1-A who had something in mind, the one who was most eager to perform for the talent show was Jirou. She possessed a great affinity for music and she finally wanted to let it show. Music tended to be "just a hobby" for her but after knowing her classmates for a couple of months now she wanted to see if she felt comfortable showcasing her talents to them.
"So Jirou, do you have anything planned for the talent show, or do you just plan on watching?"
"I'm not sure Kaminari, I mean it sounds good but I don't think I'm confident enough for that. Plus if I wanted to sing this song I had in mind I would need a second guitarist, and as you can guess I don't have one."
Kaminari was the only person along with Momo that Jirou had felt comfortable sharing her passion with. He was one of her most devoted "fans" per se. The blond had been encouraging Jirou to perform for months now and saw the talent show to be the most perfect window for her to shine. This was the most optimal place for him to interject with:
"Well if you need the extra help, I have been practicing guitar lately with your help. So maybe perform with me?"
"A-are y-you sure? I mean you certainly don't have to do anything for my sake..."
Kaminari's proposition clearly flustered Jirou and it made perfect sense. Almost everyone in 1-A saw that the two had grown a lot closer and basically were inseparable. On multiple occasions, Mina had always joked about the two being together one day to no avail.
After a bright rouge entered Jirou's cheeks, she contentedly accepted his idea and they both exchanged an awkward but innocent smile. The two would have to spend a whole month preparing for the talent show and it was already evident that the both of them enjoyed each other's company.

After a strenuous and protracted month, the electric persona and sweet vocalist were on. That potent bond that held the two together was more than obvious that day from the moment they walked on stage.
At the first strum of Kaminari's guitar, the audience had immediately fallen in love with his hair-raising, electrifying sound. He played every chord with precision and produced a clear, concise melody. Jirou's voice joined the mix and heightened everyone's senses. The way her voice reverberated throughout the gymnasium was pure ecstasy for anyone listening. Their harmonious blend was one that made it all the more indisputable that they were meant for each other. A love that would know no bounds was growing.
From an audience perspective, you could clearly see the gazes the two would give as they progressed from note to note. The wide smiles and flush cheeks were straight out of a novel. It was almost as if their coexistence on the stage was a proclamation of their adoration. All of UA who was there could sense the feeling that they probably interrupting something, a moment perhaps.
As their anthem came to a close, you could expect the unexpected. Kaminari took Jirou by the hand and made a school-wide announcement, one more auspicious than Present Mic could ever make.
"I know y'all just saw this girl right here sing her heart out to everyone in this room. I wanted to let the people in here know that I am immensely proud of her and all the effort she put into this...
Jirou, I know you were unsure about this to begin with, but I'm glad you decided to perform tonight. I love you."
Everyone spectating fell silent, awaiting Jirou's answer. All the hopefuls were yearning for a positive reply to which they received:
"I love you too."
