jikupiku content is hard enough to find as is, but this fic set the bar so high for anything i'll read surrounding the two's relationship in the future. i usually don't like first-time fics, but i absolutely loved this one. a must-read for any fan of this pairing.

Relocating is stressful, but your job at the local elementary school is perfect and brings with it new friends like the soft yet stern kindergarten teacher, Levi, and the half-crazed fifth grade science teacher, Hange.
It also causes you to cross paths with one Erwin Smith, the college professor Levi introduces you to, and though you're more than content with your fiance, you can't help but notice a certain spark between yourself and the well-spoken, blue-eyed man.
It might have something to do with the striking similarities he shares with a certain military commander you've been dreaming about since childhood.

once again, present_mel literally never misses. i'm not a huge erwin fan by any means but wow did this story seriously make me fall in love w him (or at least his depiction here). every aspect of this work melds together so flawlessly, i burned through thirteen chapters of it in two hours, it's addictive honestly.

so beautiful and tragic,, criminally underrated as well, somehow communicates so many emotions in so little words. this is one of the things that really made me sit back and think how bad of a hand life dealt porco, and honestly one of the final pushes for me coming to terms w the fact that i'm more of a warrior apologist rather than a yeagerist.
