Peter huffed and leaned back, folding his arms. “Well—well you’re not my mom. You’re my aunt. So are we allowed? Or is it just for moms?” He worried his lip and raised his wide brown eyes, locking them onto May. “That’s—that’s what the kids at school say. That I’m not supposed to celebrate because you’re just my aunt.” May thought very carefully about her answer.
“What do you think a mom does?” she asked.
