   Summary

   After Clarke Griffin’s parents die in a house fire, the courts determine that it’s best for her to grieve and recover away from the city she’s grown up in. So she moves from the industrial city of Polis to the rural wetlands of Arkadia to live with her uncle, Marcus Kane. But when the sadness and mourning remain, he deems it necessary to acquire her a companion.

   Both as a teacher and a friend, Bellamy Blake is an unexpected addition to her new life. And there’s something about him that also ignites new feelings within her that she can only pray that he reciprocates.
