Chapter Text

Imagine that it’s a stormy night and our resident toilet boy is all alone in his bathroom. Yashiro has gone home, so had Kou, even the Mokke had left, leaving him completely alone as the thunder boomed outside and the lightning split the sky.

Imagine Hanako being afraid of thunder.

Imagine Hanako crying because the lightning reminded him of something that happened to him when he was alive.

Imangine his sobs ringing through the halls of the school and the Mokke hear him.

Imagine the Mokke banding together and bouncing over to Yashiro’s house to get her.

Imagine the Mokke telling Yashiro in the middle of the night to go to school because “Number Seven is sobbing and he doesn’t want our candy.”

Imagine Yashiro gasping and immediately grabbing her jacket and umbrella, rushing out into the rain and down the street back to school.

Imagine the Mokke bouncing after her waving candy in the air and saying “Give him some candy”

Imagine Yashiro bursting into the school in the middle of the night and rushing all the way to Hanako’s stall, hearing his sobs, her heart constricting with every time

Imagine Yashiro, out of breath and panting, arriving at Hanako’s stall and bursting inside

Imagine Hanako looking up at her from where he sat curled up in a corner, hugging his knees to his chest, face red and tears flowing down swollen cheeks and stinging his swollen lower lip cause he’d been chewing on it as an attempt so muffle his sobs

Imangine Hanako whispering in a broken voice “Y-Yashiro..?”

Imagine Yashiro running over to him and grabbing him in her arms, hugging him tightly and stroking his messy hair.

Imagine Yashiro whispering, “it’s okay Hanako-Kun.. I’m here..”

Imangine Yashiro whispering, “it can’t hurt you anymore..”

Imagine Hanako breaking down in her arms and clutching at her desperately, blubbering and sobbing as the pain that he’d been keeping in flowed out of him.

Imangine those broken sniffles

Imagine the pain

Imagine Yashiro crying with him as she hugged him

Imagine Yashiro cupping his face and kissing his tears away

Imangine Hanako hiccuping and stammering as he tried to explain himself

Imagine Yashiro shushing him softly and kissing his lips, stroking his back

Imagine them cuddling until morning, both falling asleep clutching at each other as if both were worried that the other would disappear at any moment

Imangine Tsuchigomori finding them the next morning and not even bothering to wake them up

Imagine their tiredness

Hanako’s tiredness of dealing with constant agony

And Yashiro’s with seeing him like this, so weak and pathetic, unlike the slightly perverted and mischievous smirking ghost she was so used to

Imagine that.

Well, Imagine no further.

“I’ll be taking my leave, Hanako-Kun!” Yashiro called as she waved from outside of the bathroom. “See you tomorrow!”

Hanako grinned as he waved back. “Yeah!” He called back. “See you tomorrow Yashiro~!”

The girl giggled before a light sensation plopped onto her nose. “Oh!” Yashiro hummed as she raised her hand and looked up to see the clouds greying over. “Looks like it’s gonna rain.. and maybe some thunder too..”

Hanako’s grin immediately slipped from his face as his hand fell limp at his side, his large eyes going wide and legs beginning to tremble.

The girl turned around, noticing that her friend had gone silent. “Hanako-Kun?” She asked softly. “Hanako-Kun, are you okay?”

The seventh wonder blinked at his assistant and plastered a smile on his face, clenching his fists to stop his hands from shaking. “Yeah!” He nodded. “I’m fine!”

Yashiro narrowed her eyes at him. Somehow, she didn’t quite believe him. “Are you sure?”

“Yes! I don’t wanna keep you longer than you need to,” Hanako sang, turning on his heel and striding back inside his stall, “Get home safely okay?”

    “Okay.”

 But that was earlier.

Right now, as the thunder boomed overhead and the lightning flashed through the translucent windows of the old bathroom, illuminating the stalls in the most unpleasant way, Hanako was hunched over himself, a snotty and sobbing mess and crying, his muffled wails and raw sobs echoing throughout the deserted school halls.

He hugged his knees to his chest, hugging them tightly, curled up in a corner as far away from the windows as he could get. The snot ran down his face, mixing with the tears as he clamped down on his lower lip, harsh hiccups jostling his small frame as he struggled to muffle his cries with no avail.

If only I wasn’t bound to this damn school...

Another loud thunderbolt startled the upset supernatural, causing him to jump and let out a loud whimper.

I want to get out of here!

Another loud sob wracked his small body as he curled tighter into the ball.

   I’m afraid...

    Sob...

   Sniffle...

   Hiccup....

  “What is that?”

    “Let’s go check it out!”

    “And give it some candy.”

Three pink rabbit like creatures bounced down the hall until they stopped at a door.

  Sob... hiccup.. another sob.

“Hey, isn’t this Lord Seven’s bathroom?”

    “So he’s the one crying?”

    “Maybe he wants some candy.”

    “He doesn’t want our candy!”

    “Didn’t he say daikon?”

“Ah, his assistant with the fat legs, the one that always gives us candy!”

     “Let’s go find her!”

“And bring her here to Number Seven!”

“And get her to give him some candy!”
