Summary
Everything in the way Will watches Hannibal betrays his doubts, in Hannibal and moreso in himself, that Hannibal would still be there.
This takes place immediately after the events of Saudade.
Forelsket: /forɛlskəd/, [fɒˈɛlsɡ̊əð], the word for when you start to fall in love. A euphoria in a sense; the beginning of love. Danish.

I am so glad it's not a sudden and hardly credible happy ever after as soon as they reunite, as if all the year of separation in-between meant nothing but distorted time, this hiatus of shared being, living, breathing. Addiction. Withdrawal. Recovery. It is melancholy and sorrow, it is readjusting and healing. They are each a mantle at their beginnings, come ragged through use and abuse, a mesh of patch work bundled together along the way, not always matching, yet not ever ill fitting. If Will is the water in a river, liquid and moldable, choppy and moody, unclear and unpredictable, so Hannibal is the syrupy, wine like blood, warm and trudging into the unsuspecting body of water, trickling from some antlered, feathered ancient creature birthed not in but from the deep, dark woods, slowly dying at the margin of the river. They existed, before they came to meet. After, after each other, after they happened to one another, then is when they were truly born, infused, tea leaves in a rolling broil, come to life, took a noisy, foraging breath. The suffering, the viciousness of this titan this gruesome bond, the selfish and selfless ways in which they give themselves and own one another, without sympathy and remorse and apology. A design most unholy, by any definition. And yet. It would be absurd and bizarre to dodge and skip the fact that above all, despite and because of matters and circumstance, their collision and subsequent entwinement, be it by some kind of preordained or prophetic casualty, be it a spawn of chaos and assured destruction, an ode to unconditional, lethal affection, a courtship of the ages. Devotion, worship, reverie. A friendship, a romance, a link to reign over history, remarkable, fawn over and dreaded, acclaimed and ushed, venerated and condemned. Dissonant. Blurred. Radiant.

This one shattered my heart...and yes I cried a little but I regret nothing. My favorite part of Ya'aburnee.
