Chapter Text
Izuku wouldn’t classify the queasy feeling within his stomach as guilt, it couldn’t be. He had committed himself to the League, to All for One, and to his goal of tearing this accursed society to the accursed ground.
It shouldn’t have been this hard to lie to his sweet, ignorant mother.
“I’m so happy for you Izuku!” She had hugged him as she cheered, tears flowed from her eyes as she celebrated her baby getting in some fancy highschool. One perfect for his analytical mind.
If only.
If only she knew it was merely a pretty excuse to cover up his other activities.
Sensei had pulled a few strings at a dormitory school, to ‘accept’ a student who wouldn’t really be going. The poor fool had owed All for One, and at the very least, a bit of forgery was rather tame compared to what Sensei could’ve asked for.
Either way, it was perfect for what Izuku’s path was within the League. His power remained within being unknown, unseen, and untraceable. A loose variable, if you will. He would be able to support Shigaraki in anyway he deemed fit, whether it was to snipe out opponents he deemed worthless, enemies who got a little too cocky, or provide strategies if he wished for a different view of the situation.
With the League, he had a future, one that wasn’t petty thievery; one where he actually made a difference.
He’d finally be worth something; he was worth nothing to his school teachers, heroes, and any school he attempted to apply to. Bastards.
Yet, Sensei cared. Shigaraki cared in his own way, even if it was simply referring to him as a useful party member. Kurogiri didn’t shun him, only his clothing. Mom only cared because of her maternal instinct, nothing more.
It’s amusing, once he thought about it, those who were supposedly bad were the ones who actually gave a shit about him.
If being a villain meant not being alone, to finally have people who didn’t shun him, and to be considered a useful member, then, fuck everyone else.
