It’s Friday night and Jeongwon’s shift has ended so he rests on his office. Peaceful 3 minutes before Ikjun broke into his office acting all weird as usual.
“Why are you here?” Jeongwon asks him. Ikjun asks if he has a plan tonight, which he doesn’t and then saying good bye. Yes, he is that weird.
Jeongwon closes his eyes, “What again?”.
Ikjun’s head showed up in front of the door, “Want some tteokbokki?”.
Jeongwon says no.
All of sudden he remember last week Ikjun said he planned to eat tteokbokki near Yulje with dr. Chu and dr. Jang. He suddenly gets up and going to Seokhyeong’s office. He doesn’t know why is he doing that but the urge is too strong to hold.
“Hey, let’s eat some tteokbokki!”
“Where are the others?”
“Songhwa and Junwan has surgery, Ikjun went somewhere.”
At least he’s not lying, right? Ikjun really going to somewhere.
They get ready and go to tteokbokki stall near Yulje. Minha waves at Seokhyeong. Seokhyeong sits in front of Minha and the only place left for Jeongwon is in font of Gyeoul. Ikjun sneered at him quietly.
Gyeoul bows at him, “Hello, Professor.”
Jeongwon nods at her.
They eat the tteokbokki and talk, as the topic of Uju brought up Ikjun checks his watch. It’s already 9 pm.
“I’m sorry guys, I have to look up for Uju now. Bye!”
Five minutes later a phone rung. It was for Seokhyeong. A patient gets an early labour and he has to go.
“Professor, I’m going with you.”
Seokhyeong and Minha going back to Yulje. The atmosphere becomes extremely awkward for Jeongwon and Gyeoul.
Gyeoul breaks the silence, “I’m sorry, Professor. You must be uncomfortable with me.”
Jeongwon is not slow-witted, he knows it has something with him letting her dinner invitation down. He doesn’t know why he feels really sorry but he can’t say anything.
She then get up and ask for leave, but he says, “I’ll take you home.”
