An (unhelpful) guide to LOTUSCLOUD:
LOTUSCLOUD is a C-Pop and K-Pop group under Five Sects Entertainment. It consists of four members: Lan Xichen, Lan Wangji, Jiang Wanyin, and Wei Wuxian. Lan Xichen and Lan Wangji were trained under Gusu Lan Foundation, one of the departments of FSE, and Jiang Wanyin and Wei Wuxian were trained under Yunmeng Jiang Foundation, another department. They debuted as a boy group in 2016, with the hit single album Square One, which had the songs “Whistle” and “Boombayah”. They’re known for their strong vocals, complex choreography, and *ahem* good looks. lol
1st member: Lan Xichen
*blossom voice* He's the leader!
He’s the oldest member of LOTUSCLOUD and totally the mom friend. He’s always smiling and has a really gentle personality. Def the responsible one. He and Lan Wangji are brothers! His role is lead vocalist. He has such a nice, gentle voice!
2nd member: Lan Wangji
He’s the second oldest member of LOTUSCLOUD. He has a rather stoic personality, but he’s really fun and sarcastic! He doesn’t really smile or laugh, so when he does, it’s like a monumental celebration for the entire fandom. His role is main rapper and main dancer. He’s also the visual. He’s got totally slept-on vocals!
3rd member: Jiang Wanyin
He’s the youngest member of LOTUSCLOUD. Really tsundere-like lol. His onstage personality is domineering and totally boss. Their main dancer said he is really good at body rolls! (can confirm, oh my god, he’s so good at body rolls wtf) He gets angry and huffy really easily, but he also has a great sense of humor. His role is lead vocalist, sub-dancer, and maknae.
4th member: Wei Wuxian
He’s the second youngest member of LOTUSCLOUD. He’s really cheerful (by cheerful I mean an adorable ball of mischievous sunshine and happiness) and loves to fool around. He makes a lot of dirty jokes lol and is best friends with Lan Wangji. He’s the main dancer and sub-rapper, as well as the other visual. He’s so fun! Whatever your bias is, your bias is Wei Ying.
Other facts about LOTUSCLOUD:
-They only have nine songs! They are Whistle, Boombayah, Stay, Don’t Know What To Do, As If It’s Your Last, Ddu-du Ddu-du, Kill This Love, Playing With Fire, and Forever Young.
-They are all members of the LGBTQ+ community! Honestly, we stan a group with NO hets.
-Building off the previous fact, Lan Xichen is pansexual, Wei Wuxian is bisexual, and Jiang Cheng and Lan Wangji are homosexual.
-They filmed a lot of reality shows together, including LOTUSCLOUD HOUSE, which follows them as they go through their daily routine, including cooking, cleaning, sleepovers, and shopping.
-They’re called LOTUSCLOUD because of the symbols for Gusu Lan Foundation and Yunmeng Jiang Foundation, which are a cloud and a lotus flower respectively.

(in dance rehearsal) WWX: Okay, so Lan Zhan has to move here, and we all shuffle back six steps. Yep. One, two, three, four, f-oh shit, Xichen-ge, oh no! Are you alright, are you dead? Oh my God I think I killed Xichen-ge, his fans are going to murder me, Mister Lan is going to murder me!
(camera pans to LXC, who’s on the ground, groaning in pain because Wei Wuxian accidentally kneed him in the groin. He flashes the camera a quick thumbs-up and goes back to trying to get up.)
WWX: Oh my God I just ended the Lan bloodline!
LWJ: (stares intently at the camera, then down at himself, then back up again. He looks confused)
*beep*
(onstage. they’re performing ddu-ddu ddu-du.)
WWX: Hit you with that ddu-du ddu-oh fuc-
(JC slaps a hand over his mouth as one of the backup dancers stumbles away after having crashed into WWX, who falls over into LWJ’s arms. LWJ looks terrified and almost drops him.)
WWX: Lan Zhan, my hero!
(He throws an arm around LWJ. LWJ does drop him. He yelps. JC cackles. LXC looks concerned. The music keeps playing. The crowd is going insane.)
*beep*
(they’re in an archery field. LXC nocks an arrow into his bow. So does LWJ. They nod at each other, fire at the same time, and both hit bullseye. LXC smiles, satisfied. LWJ looks happy for how much LWJ can look happy. WWX materialises out of nowhere and tackles LWJ into a hug. They collapse onto the grass.)
JC: Wei Wuxian, don’t think you’re the only one who can-oh, whatever!
(JC tackles an alarmed-looking LXC. All of them end up in a pile on the ground.)
*beep*
(dance practice for as if it’s your last. in the chorus, WWX stood too close to LXC, who accidentally pushes him over with his arm movements. He yelps and topples over into LWJ’s arms, again .)
LWJ: Wei Ying!
WWX: Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow…
LXC: Oh my Go, Wuxian, I’m so sorry! Are you alright?
WWX: (thumbs up) Of course! Could anyone suffer when they’re being held in Lan Zhan’s arms?
(LWJ hugs him tighter)
LWJ: Mm. Will never let Wei Ying go.
JC: (retching) Too much gay. Let’s go.
(he and an exasperated LXC leave the practice room, leaving only LWJ and WWX hugging)

reveluv- ah, good question! they can pretty much call themselves whatever they want, but the main name is they call themselves “disciples” since yunmeng jiang and gusu lan were both started by some pretty old families that used to be all ancient family shits and basically they’re “disciples” bc they study the way of the beauty or perfection that lotuscloud seems to ooze.
xichengislife- yeah, basically. so if you’re a fan, you’re a disciple. disciples basically function actually like old timey chinese sects. senior disciples are people who’ve been in the fandom for more than two years, and head disciple changes every time. there’s only one person in the world who’s head disciple, and it’s the person who comments first on the new music video
