it was rare to see himejima completely alone, that’s how you automatically knew something was up. you quickly walked up to him, cupping his cheek in your hand, allowing him to lean into your touch.
“what’s wrong?”
“why me?”
“huh?”
“how can you like me, i don’t even like myself?”
you gently move his face towards you and place a soft kiss on his lips. “himejima, you’re the most wonderful man i have ever met. nothing that happened in the past was your fault, you did nothing wrong.”
“but even now-”
“no. you’ve saved lives of more people than either of us could count. you saved my life. that’s how we met, i’m sure you remember. himejima, i’d be nothing without you.”
he leans on you and buries his face in your neck. “thank you. i’d be nothing without you as well, you’re my stone.”
“you’re going to make me cry, stupid stone pillar.”
quiet laughs leave the both of you as you stay leaned against one another.
