Chapter Text
The stars shone brightly that night, brighter than Bruno had ever known. The tears welling in his eyes increased this particular brightness. His breaths grew sharper by the second.
"B-b-b-b-bb-b-b-b-bb-b-b-uccellattti?"" a familiar voice called out. He swiftly moved his head towards the familiar figure, his pink and green polka-dot locks smashing against his fat stripper tits.
"N-n-no i-it can't be. I-if this is your way of getting back at me for being mean then you are in SERIOUS trouble, Giorno!". Exclaimed the familiar voice, once again. Bruno's eyes widened. Abbacchio!? But... it was impossible... right?
"A-abbacchio...." Bruno managed to let out before he fainted. The remaining members of the gang surrounded Bruno... or what was left of Bruno. Truth is, it was either die or remain in Diavolo's body. Giorno, fond of his new ma, couldn't let this stand and made the choice for Bruno. Right before Bruno was to let go, Giorno brought out the card under his sleeve: Bruno's one and only true love, Abbacchio. He knew seeing his love brought back to life would be too great of a pain for Bruno to leave behind. Bruno was well aware of this pain after Abbacchio's death, he couldn't do the same to him.
That night, after Bruno fainted, Giorno worked hard to repair Bruno's -er, well- Diavolo's body. After shedding some tears over Abbacchio's return and the newly lost Narancia, the gang returned to their new home, finally able to rest. They placed Bruno in a quiet room with a bright window, Abbacchio lay at his side for hours.
Bruno slept for what seemed an eternity but to Abbacchio it mattered not, he was willing to wait. He examined Bruno's new face, behind those luscious pink lips and harsh expression laid the man he had loved for many years. Abbacchio tried to look for similarities between both to no avail.
"It's okay," Abbacchio told himself "this doesn't change anything. It's still him. He's still my Bruno. I can't leave him, not now." tears began flooding his golden eyes, the same way Bruno's had when looking at the stars. He tried to hold composure but immediately broke down. That afternoon he wept until he slept. He had been through so much these past few days and now that he finally got to be with the man he loved... well, it doesn't go exactly as planned. Abbacchio awoke to outside chattering and the fading sun. He painfully looked once more at his beloved before leaving the room.
"Well? How is he ah- how are you?" asked Giorno the moment he stepped out of the room. Abbacchio glared at him. He was the only thing somehow brighter than his love for Bruno. Despite his attempt to ignore him, his conscience forced him to reply. After all, without Giorno, Abbacchio would have died.
"He's... He's okay... Hasn't woken up yet" Abbacchio said softly, avoiding eye contact with him.
"A-at least eat something, you've been in there all day, you must be starving." Abbacchio scoffed and made his way to the table, where an opened bottle of wine stood, calling his name. He hesitated before snatching it and returning to Bruno's room.
"Thank you... I mean it" he said as he tussled Giorno's hair before disappearing.
