Jirou heard that riff.
She knew that riff.
She was ready.
In fact, all the girls were.
“I know that I'm running out of time
(I want it all, mmm, mmm)”
They raised their glasses and began singing to each other.
“And I'm wishing they'd stop tryna turn me off
I want it all, mmm, mmm” Uraraka took the line.
“And I'm walking on a wire, trying to go higher
Feels like I'm surrounded by clowns and liars
Even when I get it all the way
(I want it all, mmm, mmm)” Mina ‘sang’ (much to the offense of her male counterparts).
Then they collectively lost their minds.
“WE CAN HEAR ‘EM RUNNING, RUNNING, RUNNING!
WE CAN HEAR ‘EM RUNNING, RUNNING, RUNNING!”
The boys were dumbfounded bystanders.
‘JUST LIKE FIRE BURNING OUT THE WAY
IF I CAN LIGHT THE WORLD UP FOR JUST ONE DAY
WATCH THIS MADNESS, COLORFUL CHARADE
NO ONE CAN BE JUST LIKE ME ANYWAY’
‘Just like magic, I’ll be flying free’ Uraraka shot up carrying Mina with her.
‘Imma disappear when they come for me!” Hagakure drew the spotlight.
‘I kick that ceiling, what you gonna take?’ Mina supermanned to the ground, ‘NO ONE CAN BE JUST LIKE ME ANYWAY!’
‘Just like fire!’ Yaomomo shot some fire into the air, probably a hazard but no one stopped to notice.
“And people like to laugh at you cause they are all the same, mmm
See I would rather we just go our different way than play the game, mmm.” Hagakure yelled.
“And no matter the weather, we can do it better
You and me together forever and ever” Froppy intoned.
“We don’t have to worry bout a thing.” Ashido added.
“ About thing, mmm.” They all replied.
“WE CAN GET ‘EM RUNNING, RUNNING, RUNNING!
WE CAN GET ‘EM RUNNING, RUNNING, RUNNING!” They taunted the boys (although this was barely about them).
The circle broke and chaos overtook the scene.
“JUST LIKE FIRE, BURNING OUT THE WAY

WATCH THIS MADNESS COLORFUL CHARADE
NO ONE CAN BE JUST LIKE ME ANYWAY!

IMMA DISAPPEAR WHEN THEY COME FOR ME
I KICK THAT CEILING WHAT YOU GONNA TAKE

In unison, they turned to Jirou for the next verse and they were right to, this was her time;
“ So I can get it running
Just cause nobody’s done it
Y’all don’t think I can run it
But look, I’ve been here, I’ve done it
Impossible? Please
Watch, I do it with ease
You just gotta believe
Come on, come on with me!”
Someone lifted her onto their shoulders.
“Oh, what’s it gonna do?” She chanted at the boys.
“ Oh? What!” The girls cupped their ears.
“Hey what’s it gonna do” She cupped her mouth.
“Yeah? What!”
“Oh, what’s it gonna do”
“Oh? What!”
She blew them a kiss with her middle finger.
“Mmm what’s it gonna do-o-o"
Jirou was proud to see Deku holding Bakugou back.
‘Just like fire burning out the way’
She was brought back down to earth for the chorus by Mina (who'd been carrying her).
‘If I can light the world up for just one day
Watch this madness, colorful charade
No one can be just like me anyway’
As the rest of the girls spilled/chugged the last of their beers, the two of them interwove hands and jumped out what they believed was the last of their energy...

Were Mina’s eyes always this bright?

They weren’t raccoon eyes more...lion-like? Was that the right--
‘RUNNING, RUNNING, RUNNING’
Something wet crashed into her mouth--nope not something, a mouth. A mouth was kissing her lips.
‘JUST LIKE FIRE’
‘Mina’s mouth’ she realized through the haze of intoxication.
‘WE CAN HEAR ‘EM RUNNING, RUNNING, RUNNING’
The song ended and Mina pulled away, somehow turning pinker. Kyouka pulled Mina’s lips back to hers and apparently the attraction was mutual because the next thing she knew they were in Mina’s dorm--not sure how that happened--and everything else turned into a glorified blur.
