Work Text:
Dear Katsuki,
You were explosive,
You screamed daggers in your sharp tone
Meant to shield you from harm,
Hardened exteriors with barbed wire
Tried to keep people out from
Your true thoughts,
Sharp hair and sharp attitude,
Used as a deterrent,
Only pulled me closer to who
You
Truly are, not just some projected
Image on a screen but an individual,
Whose true thoughts shone with
Passion and love,
Desperate to get out, but twisted,
Like snakes around a branch,
By layers of defence.
You were vulnerable,
You softened into melancholy mush
Only around me.
You yielded your shield in favour for
An open window,
With curtains, which only I could pull back
And admire your beautiful mind,
Your true intelligence and emotions,
Which, sharp as they may be,
Were sharpened into marvellous sculptures
Of all shapes and sizes,
A true medley of your brain,
That I’m lucky,
To see.
Yours forever, Eijirou
