Azula: Haikyuu!! Is a story following Hinata Shouyou, a first year at Karasuno High School who joined for the once-renowned volleyball team after seeing a particularly short volleyball, known as The Little Giant, play in Nationals.
Azula: for most of middle school, Hinata is the only person on the volleyball team, until a few friends and other students begrudgingly join. In their first official game ever, against an extremely powerful team, they lose very badly.
Azula: again, he joins Karasuno because of its status as the alma mater of The Little Giant. Once school ends, he rushes to the volleyball gym, only to find Kageyama Tobio, the setter of the powerful team he played against in middle school. They fight and end up getting put on probation from the volleyball team because of it. They have to work together if they want to stay on the volleyball team with good graces.
