C.J. walked into the door of the house he and his boyfriend share with a sigh. It had been a long day and he was ready to call it quits. He dropped off all of his stuff at the front door, not caring enough to actually put everything away properly. C.J. would've been fine if he wasn't required to make a stop at his storage unit just out of town, causing him to take another hour to get home. C.J. took off his shoes and walked around the house, looking for his boyfriend. He didn't have to look far as he found Flick in the kitchen, humming to himself. C.J. smiled and walked over to Flick, pulling him into a bone crushing hug. "I'm home!!" He exclaimed, holding onto his boyfriend. Flick wrapped his arms around the beaver a moment later. "Welcome...home." He wheezed. C.J. loosened his grip on the chameleon and scratched the back of his neck. "Oh, sorry angelfish...I was holding onto you too hard. I just really missed you today!" He apologized and Flick just smiled. "It's okay honeybee, I missed you too! I ordered some pizza and it should be here soon. Why don't you go put something on Netflix while I get the pizza?" Flick suggested and C.J. nodded, kissing Flick's cheek before walking to the living room and turning on the tv, getting Netflix all set up. A few moments later, Flick had arrived with the pizza's in hand. C.J. smiled at him and helped him open up the boxes and get them all set down nicely on the coffee table. Flick quickly rushed back to the kitchen to grab plates and drinks. Flick finally sat down beside his boyfriend and both of them dug in.
After a few slices for both of them, they placed their plates on the coffee table and snuggled into each other. "So, how was the day? You went to Beach City today, right?" Flick asked. C.J. nodded. "Yeah, Jesus, their island rep. Jude gave me like, 40 sharks! That's why it took me a bit longer, I had to go put them in the storage unit. I'll have to talk to dad tomorrow and see if he wants some too." C.J. explained and Flick chuckled. "Yeah, she's always got scorpions and tarantulas for me when I visit. At least she's always excited to see us and sell to us." Flick responded, thinking back to last week when he visited Beach City and was given a whole swarm. He could barely even hold onto all the bugs she, and the rest of the islanders gave him. C.J. hummed in response. "Yeah, but I wanted nothing more than to come home to you." C.J. said with a smile, looking down at Flick and kissing his head. Flick blushed and looked up at him. "I can tell cuddle-bug." He chuckled, noticing how C.J. had practically brought Flick into his lap and was holding onto him for dear life.
It was C.J.'s turn to blush now, but he never took his eyes away from Flick's. "Can't a beaver cuddle his boyfriend? Or is that now a crime?" He joked. Flick rolled his eyes and chuckled. "I never said it was a bad thing. I find it funny because you usually call me the clingy one, yet here you are." Flick retorted. C.J. stopped giggling and blushed even harder. Flick smirked at him. "Oh how the turn have tables." He said confidently before realizing the butchered sentence that had exited his mouth. "Fuck." He muttered to himself and C.J. burst out laughing. "Oh my g-! Ahahaha!! Flick oh wow!" C.J. couldn't even form a proper sentence because he was laughing so hard. Flick slide out of C.J.'s lap and covered his face in embarrassment. "It's not that funny you jerk." Flick said harshly, but his words lacked any bite. C.J.'s laughter had died down and he turned to see his boyfriend curled up and hiding his face. "Aw, Flick I'm sorry, I didn't mean to laugh out of meanness. It was quite funny, you have to admit!." C.J. explained, reaching out and pulling the ball that was his boyfriend into his lap. Flick whined and muttered something C.J. couldn't make out. "What was that?" He asked. Flick lifted his face out of his hands. "I guess your right." He said with a sigh, but soon chuckled and kissed his boyfriends cheek. C.J. smiled and looked at Flick once he pulled away. "You missed angel." He said with a smirk. Flick's face contorted from happiness to confusion. "What? No I didn't." He responded. C.J. just nodded. "Yeah you did. You kissed me on the cheek. You were supposed to kiss me here." He said and placed a gentle kiss to the chameleon's lips. Flick froze for a second but quickly responded by wrapping his arms around C.J.'s neck.
Both smiled into the kiss, C.J. raised his hand to hold Flick's face. Flick sighed happily into the kiss as they continued. C.J. soon pulled away and smiled down at Flick. Flick opened his eyes and smiled at C.J., leaning up to kiss him once again and slowly bringing them to a laying position. C.J. had no complaints when he and Flick are kissing again. These are C.J.'s favorite kind of nights, just spending time with his boy, whether that's with streaming, watching Flick make models or just having him in his arms. C.J. was so glad to call Flick his and he would make sure no one took that away from him. Flick and C.J. pulled away and starred into each others eyes. Sea blue meeting deep purple. C.J. couldn't help the smile that came onto his face. "I love you." He whispered, like it was a secret only for the two of them to know. Flick returned his smile. "I love you too." He whispered back. C.J. kissed Flicks nose and brought them back up to a sitting position. Flick and C.J. had barely paid attention to the show in front of them and neither cared. After a few more minuets of being in each other's arms, Flick pulled away. C.J. started to whine at the loss, but was cut off by a big yawn. He hadn't even realized how tired he was. Flick chuckled. "C'mon. Help me put the food and dishes away and then lets go get ready for bed." C.J. nodded, standing up and closing the pizza boxes as Flick grabbed their plates and cups. Flick usually does the dishes right after eating, but he couldn't be bothered tonight. There wasn't very many, so after breakfast tomorrow, he'd do them. C.J. placed the pizza boxes on top of each other in the fridge, then turned to face Flick. Flick smiled and grabbed his hand, both of them walking up the stairs to their bedroom.
Flick and C.J. didn't feel like showering tonight, both agreeing to shower in the morning as they got undressed and into their pj's. C.J. only wearing pj pants while Flick wore his boxers and one of C.J.'s old shirts. C.J. always thought he looked adorable in them. They both crawled into bed and snuggled right up next to each other once they got comfortable. Flick situated himself in C.J.'s arms and smiled, while C.J. wrapped his arms around him. "Goodnight Angelfish." C.J. muttered, letting sleep take over him. Flick smiled sleepily. "Goodnight Honeybee." He muttered in response. Both falling asleep in each others arms. The last thing they both think before falling asleep is, "There is no better feeling in the world than this."
