The earth shakes beneath his feet, stone cold spikes rush at him, golden eyes filled with hatred and malice, red eyes full of fear and pain, the air angry with shouts and screams, a young voice crying in the background, the smell of iron burning in his lungs, and gunshot.
Too many gunshots that he cannot count.
It's why Mirio always goes for a jog.
It’s not enough to run away from his demons but he runs long and hard enough that for a moment, he forgets how much it hurts on the inside by burning himself on the outside.

After that night at the rooftop, Izuku promised Aizawa-sensei that he wouldn’t go back up there without adult supervision. Nightmares or not, anxiety or stress, Aizawa-sensei warned him that if he so much as steps a foot on the roof, he will expel him. And even though Aizawa-sensei did give him a leeway of sorts as long as he tells him, Izuku still doesn’t want to risk it.
But even though Izuku trusts Aizawa-sensei, Izuku was just so used to believing otherwise.
