Kaminari hated when people assumed his quirk was easy. He stood by his balcony. He had got into an argument with his boyfriend after a fight with some strange villain who had “Cursed them”. His quirk was not easy. It was frickin electricity. It could hurt many people. It was uncontrollable. He thought of the curse he had placed on him. A swap. To understand the other. It would break in 24 hours. He laughed it off and decided to head to bed.
Shinso Hitoshi woke up in the middle of the night, his skin itching. His eyes shot open as he looked around the room. His throat hurt. He sat up, his body began to burn. It was searing hot. He let out a scream. Why did his body sizzle? He stood up and rushed to find Kaminari, who was fast asleep.
“Kitten!” he called out, rushing down to the third floor and rushed into his bedroom. Kaminari was asleep. He shook his boyfriend who opened his eyes and looked over Shinso with concern. “Help me,” he cried out. Kaminari sat him down on the bed beside him and touched his hand and pulled away. “You have electricity in your system,” Kaminari gasped.
“Try and mindwash me. Tell me to do something,” Shinso suggested. He remembered the curse that was to be placed on them. A swap. He thought maybe that they had swapped quirks.
“Shinsou,” Kaminari stated, his hands going onto his boyfriends cheeks.
“Ye-” Shinso didn’t know what it was like to have his quirk used on him. And he hated it. Hated how he lost self control.
“Kiss me,” He heard Kaminari tell him. And so Shinso leaned in and pressed their lips together. It was a gentle kiss. Shinso felt his mind return to him and he pulled away. “Lie down,” Shinso lay down beside his boyfriend, his head resting on his shoulder.
“Kitten it really hurts,” Shinso sniffed. Kaminari held him close.
“Listen...picture you pinkie toe. Imagine all of the electricity courses through your body and out of that single point. Don’t imagine it leaving all at once but slowly, around your body,” Kaminari muttered. He drew a pattern on his boyfriend starting at his chest, up to his head down his right arm and up, down his side and down his waist, his leg and down one of his toes. Shinso followed along “Complete the circuit and keep the electricity flowing like that. It won’t burn any more. It will tingle,” Shinso let out a sigh and followed his boyfriend's hand as he ran his hand back up his leg, down his next leg, and up again. Up his side and the circuit was complete.
“Continue that circuit,” Kaminari whispered, taking his hand and helping him focus on that particular pattern. “Do not try and use my quirk. You seem to have my strength which allows for a very high voltage. If you don’t have the years of training, it might hurt a lot of people,” Shinso buried his face against his boyfriend's neck. He was trying to keep his focus on the circuit his boyfriend explained to him. It hurt at first but he was trying to keep his cool. Trying to feel calm when his body was burning with electricity. He noticed that whenever he thought of the electricity running through his body, his body seemed to burn with the desire to move. His fingers needed to fidget. He needed to twitch his legs. Maybe this was why his boyfriend was always fidgeting.
He closed his eyes and focused on the steady circuit of electricity coursing through him.
When Shinso woke up, he felt very parched, he sat up and saw his boyfriend still asleep, he bent down and kissed him softly on the lips. His legs were twitching, along with his hand. “Kitten?” Shinso grumbled. Kaminari opened an eye.
“S’Okay,” he grumbled, opening an eye to see his boyfriend, shaking with energy. “Sucks yeah, that constant energy running through your body. I am assuming you didn’t sleep. I had a great sleep,” Kaminari admitted.
Shinso leaned in and kissed Kaminari on the shoulder, “I am so sorry. This hurts. I understand why you are so nervous using your quirk,” Shinso admitted. Kaminari smiled.
Kaminari was worried for his boyfriend. He was twitchy the entire day. Kaminari didn’t use his boyfriend's quirk - that's a lie - he did. He got Bakago to say nice things to him, ever so often but when he tried to use it on Kirishima, utter dread came up as Kirishima made him a drink. It felt awful and so manipulative that he could use this quirk to make people do his own bidding. He understood why his boyfriend hated using his quirk on others. It involved manipulating them. Kirishima laughed it off. Bakago yelled at him.
Shinso was wrapped up in a blanket that Yayarozou had made for him that kept electricity from touching anyone else. Kaminari sat beside his boyfriend and kissed his shoulder and then his cheek. “I understand why you don’t like using your quirk. It seems so awful being able to control a person like that,” Kaminari muttered into his shoulder.
“Can’t wait until this is over,” Shinso admitted. Kaminari nodded his head in agreement. They both hated the other's quirk. Shinso placed a gentle kiss to Kaminari’s cheek, their fingers interlocking.
“Just another 8 hours to go,” Shinso sighed. Kaminari rolled his eyes letting out a loud sigh. This was not going to be fun.
