The Prince & The Courtsmen

Summary:

Writing Prompt:
“Awfully confident aren’t you?”

“I can kill every person in this room before most of them have a chance to get to their feet. Skills like that do wonders to a persons self confidence.”

Summary:
Prince Shoto of the Eastern Kingdom, is tasked in meeting with the Dragon King Bakugo Katsuki, to discuss a ‘Traveling Agreement’ so his people can pass safely through the forest outside his kingdom's walls.
While visiting, Shoto is introduced to one of Katsuki’s courtsmen: a green haired, green eyed, freckled boy, who seems quite out of place among the Dragon King’s rowdy court.
The prince takes a fascination with him and asks if the strange boy would be allowed to return to the Eastern Kingdom with him for a while.
Though Shoto and Izuku’s carriage ride back to Shoto’s Kingdom is much more eventful than Shoto would have ever thought...

Notes:

I love writing prompts. I mean, who doesn't?! So I decided to go through ones I liked and see if they sparked any story ideas! I'll try and make them one-shots, but if they do get too long, it's a good think I'm making this a series and not a 'multi-chapter'!
Here's the first one, and let me know if you guys like it!

Enjoy!

Work Text:

Prince Todoroki Shoto of the Eastern Kingdom, had been sent with a traveling party to the Western Kingdom --better known as ‘The Dragon Kingdom’-- by his father, King Enji. To create a Traveling Agreement so that the people of the Eastern Kingdom could pass safely through the Western Kingdom’s territory when needed.

The king had sent his youngest son, and heir to the throne, as the new ‘Dragon King’ was the same age as him. He hoped that Shoto could “Appeal to the King on a peer guided level” so that the agreement would go over more smoothly.

But Shoto and his siblings argued that their father simply didn’t want to treat ‘a child’ as an equal, which would result in him angering his neighboring King and starting a war neither kingdom needed.

That is: if the new king was anything like his mother, the former queen.

Though after only spending a day in his castle, Shoto decided that King Katsuki: Was far worse than his mother could have ever been.

===========

Upon his party’s arrival, Shoto and his soldiers were greeted by the Dragon King and his Royal Court.

Ashido, Jiro, and Hagakure were the Ladies within the court, but they weren’t any less rowdy or loud than their male counterparts; the Gentlemen Kaminari, Sero, and Kirishima of the court. Being greeted by such a lively bunch as well as their King, had been slightly overwhelming for the prince, and he wasn’t sure he’d liked it.

Though Shoto had been wrong when he thought he’d met every member of the Western Royal Court.

During dinner the visiting prince was greeted with a surprise.

With his own royal upbringing, Shoto knew a King’s seating arrangement at his dining table. It was no secret that the young Dragon King was courting his dragon Gentleman, Kirishima; which is why the redhead sat to his left. To show that Kirishima was a lover, and of slightly higher value to the king. Shoto knew that if there was a guest, they’d be placed to the King’s right. To show friendship and good will between the king and his visitor. But when the Eastern Prince was called down to the dining hall, he was greeted to the sight of someone in the seat where the visitor normally sat. Shoto knew that this was probably the way the seats were filled as usual; but when having an extra person, the seating on the right would always move down one.

“Shoto! There you are. I’m starving and the other idiots are whining about their own stomachs. Hurry up and take a seat so we can start.” Barked Katsuki

Shoto was then surprised to see that the only remaining seat was the one beside Kirishima. Which held no meaning at a King’s Table, aside from the fact that someone of the Royal Court, or a family member might sit.

When he sat, he had a clear view of the new commer.

His hair was a mop of fluffy green curls, and when their eyes met, Shoto was struck with two deep pools of emerald green eyes. The boy’s face was littered with dozens of freckles, and when he flashed a smile that put the sun to shame, Shoto’s heart stopped and he felt his cheeks grow warm. The clothes the other boy wore consisted of a white dress shirt and a green vest a lighter colour than his hair and eyes.

“Report.” Grunted Katsuki to the green-haired boy

“Kat...Don’t you think you could be a little nicer in the presence of a guest.?” Said Kirishima in an exasperated voice

“I’m not playing nice just because Eastern Princey is visiting. He’ll be king soon enough. He should know what kind of ally he’s got.” Retorted the king

Kirishima sighed and leaned close to Shoto.

“Forgive my fiance. He’s--hot headed; and tends to run his mouth a lot.”

Shoto had been so taken by surprise at Kirishima’s mention of an engagement, that when the boy in green spoke, Shoto didn't hear a word he said.

================================

It didn’t help that Katsuki failed to introduce the boy Shoto stared at all throughout dinner, and the king kept his Courtsman’s attention for the entire time, so Shoto couldn’t ask himself.

So he ran around the castle afterwards, trying to look for the boy. But the castle was such a maze, that he figured he wouldn’t see the boy until he was called on by the king again. So he resulted in asking the various servants and the Courtsmen about him.

Shoto was told story after story: about the green boy’s bravery; strength, determination, grit, power, kindness, and smarts. He was told about his quirky habits of being overly friendly, constantly muttering and taking notes, and even how he was the most called upon Gentleman of the King’s Court. (Aside from Kirishima).

Though the prince was also informed that the King and the green boy always fought; and were constantly bickering with one another. He was also told how the King was known for being a bit of a bully towards the boy, and that they were almost never seen on good terms.

But when Shoto asked for his name, everyone gave him the same answer: the King was the only one who was allowed to introduce the boy, and that others must call him ‘The Green Knight’ around those who didn’t know him.

=============================================

Earlier the next day, Shoto had been in the presence of the cute green boy again.

The boy was the first one in the meeting room that morning, and Shoto found himself the second one to arrive, as he left his room early in case he got lost in the castle halls.

He sat in the chair to the right of where the king was to sit; a notebook and pencil in hand. Shoto sat down quietly and watched the boy scribbling away furiously, and speaking quickly and quietly in a different language.

The muttering Shoto had heard so much about.

His face was screwed with a concentrated expression, and when he wasn’t muttering, his pink tongue would peak out of his lips ever so slightly.

Shoto internally scolded himself for taking up a fascination with the boy’s lips, and cleared his throat gently in hopes to get the other’s attention.

He squeaked and looked up across the table at Shoto, his face grew hot.

Shoto smiled quietly, and waved at the boy.

The boy’s flushed, freckled face contorted into a wobbly smile that Shoto found adorable, and shyly waved back.

They simply stared at each other in silence, and Shoto’s cheeks grew pink as he felt the boy’s green eyes wander his torso. Once again scolding himself for staring at the boy’s tongue peaked out a little from in between his lips. Then he muttered something in the previous language, before meeting Shoto’s gaze again.

He opened his mouth, but the door opened and the loud voices of the other Ladies and Gentlemen of the Court filed in.

The prince noticed that the boy stiffened slightly, and despite the atmosphere being calm with no ill will towards him: he seemed uncomfortable around the others.

Shoto noticed how out of place he seemed. All quiet and shy, compared to the other loud and bold Ladies and Gentlemen. Shoto figured the other boy knew he was out of place and went back to writing in his book and speaking to himself; gracing Shoto with doe-eyed glanced form across the table.

Not long after the rest of the court, the king came barging through the doors.

“Oi! Enough with that shit already. We’re starting now.” Katsuki said, and cuffed the boy over the head

‘A little violent.’ Thought the Eastern Prince

The boy yelped out something in the second language (Shoto assumed was some sort of cuss) and nursed the back of his head with his hand.

Shoto wanted to tangle his hand in the boy’s soft-looking curls too.

The boy then huffed and shuffled through his notebook to another page.

The meeting had started well and everyone easily discussed the Traveling Agreement.

But as the day wore on, Katsuki’s personality started getting on Shoto’s nerves.

“If any travelers are not of the Eastern Kingdom, whatever happens to them is your problem.” Said Shoto

“--And if any Easterners abuse this agreement?” Asked Jiro

“You have the authority to deal out any punishment you see fit. As long as you have solidified proof that the Easterner in question is guilty of the accusation. If they’re not, simply drop them at the border walls and tell the gate guards that the Easterner is to report to the castle for discussion and questioning. If found guilty we’ll deal with them then.” Said Shoto

“That’s reasonable.” Agreed Sero

“And if any fuckers are found guilty in my territory, then they’re dead as soon as I can get my hands on them. We’ll show them fear.” Smirked Katsuki with a menacing tone

Shoto knew his father. Katsuki was annoying, and had the power of a kingdom behind him. But King Enji was known for his ruthlessness. Everyone in the Eastern Kingdom feared him like a second religion; even if they had no reason to. Shoto and his family knew that ruthlessness and fear all too well, and way better than they should.

“Awfully confident aren’t you?” Said Shoto, trying to keep his aggravation from showing

“I can kill every person in this room before most of them have a chance to get to their feet. Skills like that do wonders to a person’s self confidence.” Said Katuski with a cocky smirk

“Which also seems to turn you into a bit of a prick at the best of times, doesn’t it.” Retorted Shoto with a bit of a sneer

Katsuki’s eyes flared with rage.

The green boy (who Katsuki still hadn’t introduced Shoto to) snorted and hid his giggles behind his hand.

The sound and sight of him laughing made Shoto’s stomach do flips and his heart flutter. For a moment the Prince zoned out, and his face softened into a slightly flushed look of longing and endearment. The corners of his lips quirked upwards slightly.

“What. Did you just say to me, Princey.?” Seethed Katsuki

Shoto’s face hardened into a pissed off glare and he turned his attention back to the Dragon King.

Though soft giggles still filtered into the Prince’s ears, they were cut short when Katuski grabbed the boy by his collar.

“Shut it, ya damn nerd.” He continued to seeth

He squeaked and Katuski shoved him away.

The Explosive blond then continued on to throw a small fit, and bellowed at his court to get out of the room and leave him and ‘The pretty boy’ to sort things out among themselves.

The two royals descended into a heated argument not long after and it went on for a while. Once they eventually calmed down though, both Katuski and Shoto were ready to resume their meeting. But decided to continue the meeting in a closed format.

Which is where both boys found themselves now.

“So let’s continue, and over the rules and regulations for this carpy safety agreement.” Snickered Katsuki

Shoto nodded.

“Yes, but first-- I’d like to discuss your right hand Gentleman.” Said Shoto

“Kirishima? What about him?” Asked Katsuki with a suspicious glare

“No, no. Not Kirishima. I wanted to inquire with your Gentleman in green. The one you’re always yelling at and calling on.” Corrected the Eastern Prince

“Haa?! Deku? Why the fuck do you wanna know about the useless nerd?!” Katsuki raised his voice slightly at the mention of the boy in green

“I’d like to request to take him back to my kingdom with me.” Shoto commented

“Listen here Princey .” Snarled Katsuki, “He’s our enemy analyzer, and he just so happens to be important to my parents, since our families are close.” He jabbed a finger in Shoto’s direction

“No harm would come to him, and I’d have him returned to you as soon as he wants to return, or you want him back.” Continued the prince

Katsuki sat back with his arms crossed. He growled and glared at Shoto for a good while, before he sighed forcefully.

“Fuck! It’s fine with me if you take him-- I could care less, really-- but the decision to go is his. I can’t control him.” He said finally

Something in Shoto’s chest felt fuzzier.

Keeping his outward composer, he rightfully agreed and Katsuki hollered for the green haired boy to be brought back into the room.

A few moments later, there was soft knocking at the door and it creaked open.

“You asked for me, Kacchan?” Came a questioning voice

Katuski grunted.

“Get your ass over here.”

The door shut, and the boy came and sat back by Katsuki’s side. He still seemed stiff.

“Sorry, are you still busy? Do you still want me here?” He asked, passing glances in Shoto’s direction

“This concerns you actually, idiot.” Said Katsuki

The boy tilted his head.

His young king sighed.

“Deku, this is Prince Todoroki Shoto of the Eastern Kingdom. Princey, this is Midoriya Izuku; my Royal Analysis and adoptive brother.” Introduced Katsuki

‘Oh..’ Thought Shoto with shock

Midoriya’s cheeks flushed.

“A pleasure to formally meet you, Your Highness.” Then he quickly turned to Katuski,

“Kacchan you never introduce me like that, what’s going on?! Am I in trouble?!” He whispered to him in a panic

The loud blond shoved the other boy’s shoulder.

“Keep your attention on the Prince, Dumbass. No, you’re not in trouble.” He snapped

Midoriya turned back to the Prince and his large emerald eyes stared at Shoto with nervousness.

“Midoriya, if I may speak with all honesty, you caught my attention among the louder, more lively Ladies and Gentlemen of the Court.

You’re quiet and calm, yet you seemed uneasy. And aside from Kirishima, you’re the most called on by Katsuki. You’ve caught my attention with your looks, and the stories I’ve heard of your bravery, strength and brilliant mind. And I’ve asked for permission to bring you back to my kingdom with me. For however long you or Katsuki pleases.” Shoto spoke calmly

Midoriya’s jaw dropped.

“You-you want m-me?!” He squeaked

Shoto nodded once.

“But as Katsuki and I have already discussed: you’re your own person and the decision to come with me is your choice. If you say ‘No’ I understand, but then I have another proposition for you. But if you say ‘Yes’ well-- I’d be very pleased.”

Midoriya’s eyes sparkled, and his lips formed a wide smile. He turned back to katsuki.

“Really, Kacchan?! You mean it, you said can go if I want?!” He asked happily

Shoto thought he looked like a little kid, getting permission from his mother to ride a horse.

“Don’t look at me like that.” The blond snapped, “Now hurry up and make up your mind before I change mine.” He threatened

Midoriya turned back to Shoto, and nodded excitedly.

“Yes please. It’d be an honor to accompany you and your party back to your kingdom.” He smiled

“The pleasure is all mine, Midoriya.” Answered Shoto

The boy’s smile widened, and his freckled cheeks turned a darker shade of pink.

“But, Your majesty.?” Asked Midoriya

“Yes?” Replied Shoto

“What purpose do I serve you? What do you require of me?” He asked

Shoto smiled a little.

“You’d accompany and stay with me as my personal guest. And you may be my guest until you choose to return to your kingdom.” He answered

Midoriya’s eyes sparkled again.

“Really? You want me to be a personal guest? So, I’d be by your side until I chose to come home?” He asked

“That’s what I’d like: yes.” Nodded the Eastern Prince

The green-eyed boy suddenly couldn’t sit still.

“Alright, alright; quit your fidgeting, it’s pissing me off. Get out of here and prepare.” Scoffed Katsuki, but he held a small smirk, and the fire in his red eyes seemed softer

Midoriya nodded, stood, and formally excused himself before he left. The two young rulers sat in silence until the other boy had gone, then their conversation resumed.

“We’ll depart in two days, we won’t overstep our welcome--”

“Cut the crap Shoto. Izuku’s like my brother; no matter how annoying he is. So you’ll treat him like he’s a prince himself. He’s important, and if I hear that something’s happened while he’s in your care-- I’ll kill you. Got it?” He growled

“You speak as though he’s some kind of pet, or child that needs to be caughtled.” Remarked the Prince

Katuski snarled.

“I understand you have a deeper relationship with Midoriya; and I understand that you two are close despite your treatment of him. I assure you, I only mean to get to know him better. Perhaps even create my own personal friendship with him. But he won’t get hurt while he’s with me.” Assured Shoto

“Oh shut it with that! I might not sound like I’m observant, but I know the first time you saw him you wouldn’t take your eyes off him. Then I hear about you going around and asking my court and servants about him. There’s a reason I held off from introducing you two. He doesn’t bite unless you piss him off, so I know Izuku can handle himself no problem. On the rare occasion he’s knocked me on my ass before. What I mean is you better not break his heart. He better not come home and cry to me about all kinds of romantic shit, only to tell me you sent him home because you don’t intend to court him.” The Dragon King growled

Shoto’s face lit up the same shade of his hair.

“That’s not what-- I-- no--that’s not what--”

“Uhuh.” Katsuki clicked his tongue and sat up straighter

“We were discussing the rules and regulations for the passage of your kingdom’s people through my territory. Weren’t we Prince Shoto.?” He said, quirking an eyebrow

Shoto’s brain did a recap.

“H-huh? Oh! Right! Now...”

======================================

As promised, Shoto’s traveling party departed from the Western Kingdom near dawn, with Midoriya riding in the carriage with Shoto.

For the first little while, the two boys sat in silence as both of them were still tired from preparing to leave the night before and early this morning. But after a while they were more awake, and the freckled boy carried the conversation for the most part.

“I know the Eastern Kingdom’s one of the biggest, and I heard the royal castle at the center of the city is bigger than our castle!” He said with excitement

“Well our grounds and courtyards are bigger than yours, but it’s safe to say our castle is taller than yours. And the dragon castle is definitely more of a maze, and can hold more capacity than my castle.” Said Shoto

Midoriya tilted his head cutely.

“The Eastern Castle really just looks pretty, and can hold against a war; but it won’t hold nearly as many people as the Western Castle could. So really we’d be limited to how many Easterners we could house if needed.” He elaborated

Midoriya made a silent ‘oh’ and nodded his head.

“My Auntie Mitsuki--when she was The Dragon Queen-- made sure to have the castle expanded as much as she could. If she’d had enough material, and workers, the entire kingdom would reside within the castle and we’d live like real dragons.” He giggled, “So if we needed, we could comfortably house the royal court, their families, and the rest of the kingdom in it, without worrying about space or overcrowding.”

He giggled again, seemingly as a thought crossed his mind.

“Hell, even our dungeons are roomy and comfortable. I’ve slept in them a few times.” He said scratching the back of his head

Shoto raised an eyebrow at the boy across from him.

“You’ve been...Thrown in the dungeons before?” He asked

Midoriya looked down.

“Y-Yeah. Sometimes it was kacchan being mean, or sometimes--no it was really just Kacchan being mean.” He answered

“I’ve been locked in the dungeons before, too.” Shoto hummed

Midoriya looked up at him with a shocked expression.

“Really? I can’t imagine anyone who would do such a thing.”

Shoto looked out the window.

“My father would throw me down there, when I refused to listen as a child. He hasn’t done it in a while; but then again, I haven’t refused him in a while..” He replied solomely

“I-I’m so sorry, Your Highness..” Said Midoriya softly

A heavy silence filled the small space, and Shoto felt the need to make Midoriya smile again.

He turned to him.

“When we’re alone;” He began, catching Midoriya’s attention

“Hm?”

“I want you to call me Shoto. Forget formalities when it’s just you and I.” Said the Prince

Midoriya’s cheeks tainted red.

“I-If you insist. I’d be happy to fill that request-- Shoto .” He said after hesitating a second

Shoto’s stomach flipped at the sound of his name on Midoriya’s tongue; and his own cheeks filled with pink.

“U-um..” Midoriya shifted in his seat

“Yes?” Asked Shoto

“Y-you can address me as Izuku..When we’re alone--too.” He said, not meeting the prince’s gaze

“I think I can fill that request, Izuku .” Answered Shoto

The Prince watched with warmth, as Izuku’s cheeks darkened further and he bit at his bottom lip.

He resisted the urge to lean over and run his thumb along the numerous freckles that showed much more against the backdrop of red. And the growing urge to press his own lips against Izuku’s.

The carriage bumped and bustled along, and the boys inside chatted comfortably, and would only pause to look out the window with red faces when a comment was spoken or a sentence was misunderstood.

At a point during the trip, a lull in conversation came and Izuku wanted to fill it.

“How long will our journey be, Shoto?” He asked

“Hm? Oh two days at most. A day at most if we’re fast, or move ahead of schedule.” He answered

Izuku hummed.

“So when it gets dark we’ll set up camp.? And we’ll stop for lunch, correct.?” He continued

“Oh, well, yes; we’ll stop for lunch.--But as for setting up camp..” Shoto looked out the window again, “The soldiers set up camp around the carriage, and for safety, I slept in here. Since you’re my personal guest, they’ll inform us that we’ll both be sleeping here.” He explained

He looked back at the other boy, who was turning red again.

“Sleeping, a-alone, together?!” He squeeked

Shoto nodded.

He blinked a few times, because before Izuku covered his mouth with his hand, he swore he saw Izuku smile and bite at his bottom lip.

The other boy spoke in his second language, and whatever he said made him flush a deeper red.

Shoto felt himself grow hotter at the idea that whatever Izuku said wouldn’t have been the purest of thoughts. That thought caused his other thoughts to spiral down the dark path.

‘NO! Bad Shoto! He’s your guest! You can’t force yourself on someone you basically just met! That’s not ok!’ He yelled at himself

“Shoto? You’ve grown silent… are you ok?” Asked Izuku from across him

Shoto looked at him and noticed Izuku shiver slightly.

“Are you cold?” He asked, dodging the question

Izuku wrapped his arms around himself.

“A little, it’s always cooler in the forest.” He answered

Shoto shifted seats and wrapped an arm around Izuku’s waist; pulling him close.

“You’ll get warmer if we’re close. With the shared body heat. Besides it’ll get colder tonight, but I doubt we’ll have much trouble since we’ll be laying on the floor.” He said

Izuku stared up at him, and nodded. As Shoto stared back, it dawned on him that he didn’t ask if he could touch Izuku.

“Sorry I forgot to ask-- Is this ok? I’ll let go and move again if you’re uncomfortable with being touched and this close to me.” He said

“No,no! Please don’t move!” Izuku flushed, “I-I’m warming up now, and this is--nice...I really like it.” His round eyes seemed to shine and looked even rounder to Shoto in that moment. Izuku then uttered something else in the tongue he seemed to like confusing Shoto with.

He wrapped his other arm around Izuku, and they continued to talk in lower voices until they stopped again for lunch.

===============================================

“We’ll continue on for another few hours, then at twilight we’ll stop for the night and set up camp.” Said Shoto’s top guard, who had been introduced to Izuku as Ida Tenya

Both Shoto and Izuku nodded.

“Sounds reasonable, that’s what we did the last time.” Answered Shoto

“And, as a safety advisory: You and The Gentleman Midoriya will be sleeping in the carriage.” Continued the knight

The two boys glanced at each other with cheeks turning a light pink.

“Yes that’s perfectly fine with Midoriya and I.” Confirmed Shoto with a cert nod

The group of travelers sat around and talked casually with each other as they ate, and Shoto noticed Izuku staring at him with red cheeks and a awe-struck look.

“What?” He asked lowly

Izuku smiled at him.

“I like that you talk and interact with your guards as the equals they are. In a situation like this I mean. I’ve met some young royals who always think better of themselves around others without the same upbringing.” He replied

Shoto hummed.

“My father would kill me if he found out I spoke with my guards like this. But he’s not here, and he holds no power over the people I enjoy talking with.”

Izuku nodded.

“That’s understandable..But it’s still nice to know you genuinely feel that way. I like men who have open minds and hearts. It’s quite a charming quality to possess.”

The prince quirked an eyebrow.

“So you think I’m charming.?” He asked teasingly

Izuku’s face lit up and he seemed to panic.

“I--! That just slipped out! I apologize if I overstepped any lines--! Really! I only meant to compliment you--”

“ Izuku. ” Shoto cut him off

The other boy shut his mouth, but refused to look at him.

The Eastern Prince glanced around quickly, and noticed all the guards were up at the front of the carriage getting ready to depart again.

So Shoto took a quick chance and leaned in close to Izuku’s ear: He pressed a firm kiss against it, and heard the other squeak. He pulled back slightly.

“I don’t mind if you think I’m charming~” He whispered hottily

Izuku’s breath stuttered.

“O-ok.!” He chirped

“Your Majesty! My lord! We’re ready to depart now; I trust you’ve both had your fill until we stop again!?” Called Ida as he came close to them

Shoto stood, and offered Izuku his hand.

“Yes, we’re plenty full; thank you. Midoriya and I will load back into the carriage now.” He answered

Ida nodded and marched off, as Izuku and Shoto clamored back into a small sitting space.

===============================================================

The ride that afternoon had been awkward for the first little bit but had then dissolved into soft conversation, as if what happened after lunch hadn’t occurred. But come nightfall, when they had readied and settled into the carriage for the night; the two laid close together in silence. When Shoto first wrapped his arms around Izuku, the boy only started to mutter to himself and refused to look at him. He feared he’d overstepped and his guest was now uncomfortable with their closeness. But as Shoto went to pull away, Izuku grabbed onto his white collared shirt and tugged him closer.

“I--I like this.” He stuttered out

Shoto smiled, and held him a little tighter while adjusting his arms around Izuku’s waist. He listened to the green haired boy continue to speak in his second language for quite some time; but the Prince quickly grew tired of the quiet, and the lack of conversation (attention) he was getting from his guest.

“What’s that other language you always speak in?” He asked, causing the boy in his arms to jump a little

“It’s uuuuuuh….Well it’s sort of a mix you see. Both my parents are fairies, but they were both raised by witches. So there’s three different languages as witches use both their speech, and the Devil’s speech when casting spells. But, I grew up in the Dragon Kingdom  where many dragon descendants, and pure blood dragon clans live. So there’s two more with the old dragon speech mixed with modern dragon speech. So really when I mutter I speak in five different languages at a time.” He explained

Shoto was astounded.

On top of human search patterns, Shoto only knew Elven from his mother; who was a Mountain Snow Elf. He knew Pixie and Fairy languages were very different, but he didn’t know how to speak either; and would likely mix the two up if given the chance. With the languages he listed, plus the one he currently spoke to Shoto with; Izuku knew six languages or more, simply by growing up where he did.

“Izuku that’s six languages.

How many more do you speak?” He asked in awe

The green boy’s cheeks went red.

“I know Siren, Mer, Pixie and Elf. Though Kacchan’s making me learn Oger, Mina’s teaching me Troll, and Toru teaches me Serpent, and Harpy.” He added to the ever-growing list

Shoto’s eyes blew wide.

“What languages do you want to learn?” He asked breathlessly

“I don’t think there’s any one specific language, you see. I’ve always had a thing for different languages, and I pick them up quickly and speak them well. That’s a gift from my mother’s side. She’s very good with other languages as well.” He answered

Shoto hummed.

“I only know Elven because my mother is a Mountain Snow Elf. So she’d always speak to my siblings and I, in the language when it wasn’t necessary to use a human speech pattern.” He explained

“I think that’s such a pretty language...” Smiled Izuku, looking up at Shoto

Silence fell between them soon after, and a bubbling tension steadily rose as they leaned into each other.

“S-Shoto.?” Stuttered Izuku

“Yes..?” Answered the Pince, loving the sight when is words sent a small shiver down Izuku’s back

“Earlier today...When you--When you whispered in my ear…” He stopped himself and bit his lip

“Mhm?~” Shoto smirked, hoping he knew where this was going

“I-I- I liked it…..It-It startled me at first but, I liked it.”

The poor boy’s face was entirely red from embarrassment, but Shoto found it cute.

“May I be so bold as to assume that you want a kiss, Izuku?” He asked, dropping his voice lower which seemed to have an effect on the green boy

Izuku cursed in one of the other languages, and surprised Shoto when he shifted upwards and caughted Shoto’s lips with his own. They stayed like that for a while; slowly tugging at the tension as they deepened the kiss by entangling their tongues and letting out small sounds of contemptment.

When they finally did pull apart, Shoto shifted Izuku on top of him and placed his hands on his hips.

As they panted slightly, Izuku's shining green eyes stared up at Shoto through dark lashes, and one of his scarred hands reached up and took hold of Shoto’s left ear.

“You said your mother was a Mountain Snow Elf, correct?” He asked, as he continued to run his thumb along the shell of the Prince’s ear

Shoto shivered.

“Yes.” He said

“Then that means your half Elf. Which also means,” He pressed his index finger down on the tip of Shoto’s ear, “Your ears are a little pointy.”

Izuku smirked a little as Shoto bit at his bottom lip and shut his eyes.

“Hmm. And they’re incredibly sensitive too.” He answered

Izuku hummed and continued to play with the duel boy’s ear.

“I thought I noticed them when we stopped to first eat, but I was too embarrassed to admit I had been staring at you. But now I know.” He explained absentmindedly

“A-And are you pleased with your discovery.?” Shoto asked

Izuku nodded and pushed up on Shoto’s chest. He brought his lips to Shoto’s ear, and the Prince gasped when he felt Izuku’s warm tongue, and hot breath press against his ear.

Izuku slowly licked and bit at the other boy’s ear; and Shoto groaned softly when Izuku sucked on the tip of his ear leisurely.

“I-Izuku~” Shoto panted, and the green boy released his ear

Shoto then pulled him down into another passionate kiss, and flipped them over; pressing Izuku into the floor of the carriage. Their hands roamed each other’s bodies, and Shoto grunted when Izuku’s fingers entangled themselves in this split hair and tugged; while Izuku mewled when Shoto’s hand slid down his thigh and lifted it up so he could hook it around his back.

When they pulled apart this time they panted much heavier than the last time; but Izuku was determined to speak.

“I-Perhaps I’m being too--too hopeful but:” he shifted, “You are intending to court me. Aren’t you?” Izuku asked, his green eyes shining in the dark

“Of course I am. If you’d give me the honor.” Answered Shoto

Izuku smiled softly, and the heavy colour in his cheeks started to deepen.

“I’d like that, very much. Yes please.” He replied with a tiny giggle

Shoto smiled at him, and dove back down for more  kisses.
