Work Text:

It was a long week for Kabakura as he was held up with lots of works assigned to him by his senior which he had distributed amongst his juniors and looked out for them whenever they needed his help.

On top of this, he was also asked to arrange a small office party to enjoy the success of a recent project.

So it is safe to say he didn't spend much time on his unfinished manga and recorded anime nor with his friends and especially with his fiancee, Hanako Koyanagi.

It had been a month since he proposed to her. He had thought of doing something extravagant to surprise.

But had to beforehand just to convince her and lift up her mood when she lost her necklace.

He was glad that she understood his situation and gave him some personal space while in office as well as after it.

It was Friday evening when Hirotaka had invited his senpai for drinks along with their respective other halves for which he agreed and was looking forward to it as well.

Hanako and Narumi were waiting for their fiance and boyfriend respectively at the ground floor feeling quite excited to spend their weekend eve.

"Hana-chan, finally this week got over. It felt like ages until the clock displayed 18 hours." Narumi Momose started the conversation while Hanako simply nodded in response.

"It's true what you said. I felt very lonely without fighting with Kabakura. But soon, we will all be together drinking and having fun." Koyanagi said and kept on looking towards the elevator.

"Looks like Hana-chan missed Kabakura-Senpai very much." Narumi nudged her elbow against her colleagues' arms while teasing which made Koyanagi grow red.

As Narumi continued her teasing, then, a voice interrupted their playful session and it belonged to none other than Hirotaka Nifuji.

"Hey Hirotaka, Where's Kabakura-senpai?" Narumi asked him.

"It looks like he won't be joining us anytime soon. As Mr Section officer gave Kabakura-San a few more files which he needs to verify urgently. So he's stuck with that work." Nifuji said with his usual stoic demeanour.

But eyes were focused on the woman in front of him whose face fell into sadness as soon he disclosed the truth.

The main reason Nifuji invited his senior and Koyanagi-San was to lighten up their moods but looks like it went down the drain.

"Oh, it's bad. I thought we could relax and enjoy our drink together." Narumi felt bad and looked towards her friend.

Koyanagi sensed their eyes were on her which was filled with concern. So she decided to not make them worry and find an excuse to skip this drink time.

She didn't want to be the third wheel between them.

"Okay Narumi, Nifuji-kun, I just remembered that I need to buy something from the book store. So why don't you both enjoy this evening together?" She smirked and leaned to whisper in Narumi's ears.

'Naru-chan, go ahead. Didn't you say, it was okay on a pink day?'

Koyanagi teased Narumi which made her grow red due to embarrassment.

"Hana-chan"

Narumi yelled and tried to calm down herself while Hirotaka was left to wonder what was happening between them.

"Okay bye, Naru-chan, Nifuji-kun. See you on Monday. Enjoy your weekend." Koyanagi waved them bye and left them before they could convince her.

The truth to be told, she didn't expect Kabakura to get winded up at the last moment. This whole week they didn't fight that means they never shared any personal words between except for work.

Neither she stayed at his place, he was on overtime this whole week and after two days, she decided to accompany after citing some excuses and voluntarily taking extra work load.

Koyanagi was happy in a way as she got to see him even if they were busy with work.

After work, they would head back to their home as they wanted to just sleep and neither of them showed interest in inviting the other.

"Bakakura, he should learn to say no." She scolded him under her breath and decided to head back home and eat something before falling to sleep.

AT KOYANAGI'S APARTMENT

Around 7 pm, she reached her place and went to do her usual routine work to relieve her some that day's stress.

After soaking herself in the bath for an hour, she changed into her sleepwear and decided to make something simple to eat like noodles or pasta.

Suddenly, her mobile began to ring and it was a call from her fiance, Kabakura.

Koyanagi wondered whether he needed some help with his work or was he going to invite her to his place before picking up the call.

"Hanako, where are you?"

"Finally, someone remembered his girlfriend." She hissed and was waiting for his bickering but he chuckled.

"I could never forget about my lovely fiancee to remember her because she's always in my heart."

Koyanagi's heart skipped a beat and began to beat rapidly as it was a sudden love attack in which she was caught off guard.

"Hanako, are you there?"

"Hmm"

"So are you free tonight? Wanna head out for dinner?" He asked her.

Koyanagi smiled but she was too tired to get out now, "I'm free but can we do it tomorrow, Kabakura."

"Okay Hanako"

Kabakura cut the call which made Koyanagi wonder whether he was mad at her for declining his offer.

"Stupid Hanako, even he was tired but then too, he wanted to take you out for dinner. But you declined and ruined your chances to be together, stupid Hanako."

As she kept on scolding herself suddenly her doorbell rang which startled her.

"Who could be at this hour?" She wondered and went to attend the door only to see her boyfriend smiling with his hands full with a cloth bag and carrier bag.

"Hello Hanako"

Koyanagi didn't know what took over her but seeing him smiling and standing in front of her.

Tears began to spill down her eyes and hugged him around his torso. Kabakura knew her reasons and simply held a soft smile on his softened face.

"I missed you, Hanako" Koyanagi could sense the sincerity in his voice and how he was able to see through her as even she wanted to profess those words to him.

Once Kabakura freshened up, Koyanagi made pasta for dinner and decided to drink a few cans of beer before sleep.

As she passed on his plate, Kabakura caught hold of her wrist and made her look towards him.

"What? Is something wrong?" Koyanagi asked.

Without uttering anything, he took her palm to his mouth and kissed the backside of her palm which made Koyanagi blush.

"Someone is being quite mushy tonight." She teased him instead of throwing insults whenever she teases him.

All he did was smile and leaned forward to kiss her lips which he had missed for a week as well which she reciprocated back zealously.

Before things could get heated up, Koyanagi's mobile buzzed to indicate a message was being delivered but she chose to ignore that and continue where she had stopped.

This time, it was Kabakura's turn to blush as he knew where this was going to lead and for that to happen he needed to fuel up his energy. Thus, they need to have their dinner right away.

"You know we have got a long night and I'm gonna stay here for another two days. Let's continue after dinner, Hana" Kabakura said with a blushing face which made him look cute.

After a few hours, when both of them were catching their breath after their shared activity.

Kabakura adjusted his posture so that Koyanagi could place her head on his chest, a thing which she always loves to do after a certain activity, while he softly caressed her back.

"I missed you so much, Taro. We were so busy that we couldn't even find time to fight nor talk casually."

Kabakura chuckled and kissed on top of her head. Koyanagi felt like a small girl in his presence whenever she ranted how she couldn't spend some time with him.

"I know but duty calls. And you know what, next week, the section officer has given me two days off which I'm planning to take on Thursday. Why don't you take leave on those days?"

Koyanagi lifted her head and looked at him amazingly which made him turn his head to hide his burning cheeks.

"Why, Taro?"

"We could go somewhere like Juhu Islands and enjoy our holiday there." Kabakura finally disclosed his surprise which he had been thinking for some time ever since Koyanagi once told him about it two weeks before

Koyanagi squealed and lifted herself to smother his face with kisses and reciprocating back as well.

"I love you, Taro. Thanks for everything you have done and also being with me."

"I love you too, Hana. And I really mean it."

Finally the couple slept peacefully in eachh others arms and decided to plan for the upcoming trip from tomorrow.

Notes:

The characters may be too out of their original personality. But I always felt these two would display such an adorable affection when they are alone which is meant only for them to enjoy.

Hope everyone who reads this likes it as well.
