Summary
The year is 1988. Ivan Braginski is the newest homicide detective at the station, partnered with Wang Yao, a seasoned detective who prefers working alone and has little patience for rookies. Their arrangement is supposed to be temporary: solve the murder of Emma Abelsson, then go their separate ways.
But her death is only the beginning.
As the death toll begins rising, the detectives find themselves after a killer unlike anything they have encountered before, forcing them to experience evil in a way neither could have imagined, and turning a temporary assignment into a partnership neither could simply walk away from.
