    Summary

“...It’s all gonna be over soon,” said Cory, his skin pale in the starlight.

    “What, high school?”

“Yeah, and—everything else. Life as we know it, Shawnie. And after this all we have is...what comes next. And I don’t know what that is.”

Cory fears change, Eric fears failure, and Shawn fears himself. Together, they learn about life. (A rewrite of seasons 5 through 7)

god......... my soul never cried so hard

this is the best coming of age fic i've read in a while, because it just shows how it seems like everything is too big at for a teenager even if it's smaller than it seems to be, but you also have the big things that become bigger by the second to the point of making any teen (and even adults) feel like it's the end. it's heartbreakingly beautiful, and everything just blends together in the most amazing and raw piece of work i've ever read. It really takes the cake (that sadly wasn't in the poetry club meeting) for exploring the unseen and unused plots in such an amazing tv show.
