Summary
The first time Ferdinand utilized the riding crop, the sound of leather making contact with the horse's flank sent a shiver down Hubert’s spine. The black pony that Ferdinand rode was greatly motivated by the added cue, and its obstinance was replaced with obedience. But every once in awhile the colt would act up again.
It was those moments that kept Hubert coming back, just to relish the sound of the whip and to gaze upon the man who gripped it.
