Mr. Lee Detective Agency + Fillet

Summary:

Lungmen. Full of mysteries, full of secret. And who's to solve them if not Mr. Lee Detective Agency?

Notes:

Most of the things written here will be the result of my and a friend’s brainrotting session. We love the Dr. Lee Detective Agency crew. Also, our Mr. Lee might be OOC. But who knows?

Chapter 1: Mr. Lee Detective Agency, an introduction

Chapter Text

Lungmen is full of mystery.

There’s a secret in every corner of this vast city.

You may think you know everything about Lungmen...but the truth is, you don’t.

Every new second, new day, new week, new month...new year. Everything is happening at the same time. Some people might not be able to take it all at once. But, it’s okay. When you’re in trouble, come to Mr. Lee Detective Agency. Any unsolvable case will be solved. The impossible will be possible. Fights? Oh, we might be a detective agency, but we’re capable of that, as well.

You don’t have money? Easy. Just offer your body to be Aak’s experimental ratー

“Aak, what do you think you’re writing?”

Silence. The furry boy stopped writing on the paper that were meant to promote the agency.

“Don’t think I don’t know what you’re trying to do, Boy.” Mr. Lee said calmly from behind the newspaper he’s reading. “I may have left the advertising to the three of you, but I’ll still check it later.”

Aak rolled his eyes and threw his pen away, “I need a new lab rat!”

“Then use actual rats.”

“I need to see what would happen if I use my drugs on people.”

“...”

“...Hey, Mr. Lee…?”

“No way in Terra, Boy.”

As the two continued to argue, the door to the office slammed open! Oh, it’s Waai Fu, and Hung. Seems like they brought food. Waai Fu saw the paper Aak was writing on, she gave him a weird look. “Aak, what is this?”

“Nothing.” Aak shrugged.

“Well, it’s clearly something!”

A normal day in the office, really.

Now, for an actual introduction.

Mr. Lee Detective Agency. Founded by the one and only Mr. Lee, to solve your unsolvable case, to do the impossible, to fight your enemies. The crew can do anything, as long as you ask for it. Oh, but of course, it comes with some LMD to spend. Only natural, right? We’re running a business here!

They may be a rowdy bunch, but you can trust them to do their job.

One of the crews...to be more specific, the Back-Alley Doctor, may do some questionable things in the process. But eh, all that All’s Well That Ends Well.

Ally of Justice #1 broke too much things, you say…? I’m sure it can be fixed…? By our Full-time Security Guard!

Eh? Our Full-time Security Guard is so wholesome you think you’re in love? Oh no, he’s our crew, you can’t take him with you!

“Ahem!”

“Now, now, kids. Stop with the arguing. Where’s my fishballs?” Mr. Lee asked, still reserved despite the noise the trio made. “You know I need Jaye’s specialty at times like this. By times like this I mean we haven’t been getting any new client.”

“Ah…” Hung scratched the back of his neck, unsure of how to tell his boss of an unfortunate news. “Jaye is closed for today. No fishballsー”

Excuse me? ”

He finally puts down his newspaper and showed his face. An Ancient with obvious animal traits compared to most Terranians. This right here, is Mr. Lee. A wise-

“Call Jaye. I want my fishballs.”

...A wise and mature man he is. Quite known for his smarts and tricks, for his ability to solve cases most Lungmen detectives had no idea how to solve. He’s quite different compared to most detectives, though. Some people described him as...a sly snake.

“Boss, let’s not! We’ll get ‘em fishballs next time, OK?”

Mr. Lee looked at Hung for some good seconds, seems like he’s considering his words. But fishballs… “No.” a firm answer.

Knock knock!

All pair of eyes turned to the door. Perhaps, a client? Finally.

With excitement, Hung opened the door. Revealing a tall woman, taller than even Hung. Her long green hair drops over her broad shoulder, and her voice calming, a beautiful person. It’s Inspector Hoshiguma from the LGD.

The Inspector gives the crew a big smile, “Good day.” But perhaps, since she’s a police officer, Waai Fu felt a little suspicious.

“If you want to arrest this Back-Alley Doctor right here, please feel free to do so, Inspector Hoshiguma.”

“Rude, I’ve done nothing worth arresting this week.”

“...What about last week…?”

“...”

“Oh, no. I’m not here for that.” Hung gave her space to enter the office, and so she does, “I have a mission, no- maybe I should call it a case?”

A case. Music to Mr. Lee’s ears. A case means money. More money means...fishballs. “Why, another case from you, Madame Oni? I remember this isn’t the first time you came to us. Is this another request by Lord Wei? Or perhaps...a personal one?”

Mr. Lee looked at the towering Oni with judging eyes, however, it’s nothing against someone like Hoshiguma. “Heh. Indeed, Mr. Lee. It’s a personal one this time. If it’s Lord Wei’s order, I’d come with Ch’en sir.” Hoshiguma took a seat, her smile faded, changed with a stern look.

“A friend is missing, and I’d like you to find him. His name- I think you lots are familiar with him? It’s Jaye.”

The crew looked at her in surprise! Jaye? Jaye is missing? The agency’s sole provider of quality fishballs is missing. This is...one important case.

“No wonder I haven’t been able to contact him for a few days now...I just thought he needed a break from business.” Hung claimed.

Hoshiguma nods, “I was actually the one who saw him last. I was sure he’d be safe, but well…”

Mr. Lee is calmly listening, as if observing, even though Hoshiguma has not told him any more details, “What were the two of you doing?”

“I was eating in his stall, the usual.”

“Is that really all of it?” Mr. Lee sighs, “Madame Oni, if you wont tell me the truth, I might as well think you’re the culprit of his disappearance.”

The Inspector lets out a small chuckle, “Ahaha, nothing gets past you. Just like usual, Mr. Lee. But I’m afraid I really can’t tell you the details of what we were doing,” her smile fades again, as fast as it showed up, “The only thing I can tell you is that we were talking business. Just like what we’re doing now. I do have a lead of where he might be, or who took him. But I can’t involve the LGD with this. Which is why I’m here now.”

Mr. Lee stays silent for some good minutes, the situation is tense, is what it would seem like if the fluffy trio weren’t arguing on what to eat for dinner in the corner of the room. The big guy lets out another long sigh, and stood up from his rolling chair.

“A case is a case. Stop your arguing, kids. And let’s talk more on the way, Madame Oni. We have a case to solve, and a fishball master to find.”
