"Thou dost desire to wound me," coughs up Don Quixote. Her throat is barely working, with harm done by Ryoshu's hand still lingering. She will be fine, of course, but healing will take time without blood, and with how rapidly her own leaves through a wound where her hand was connected to her body, Don Quixote expects it will take at least a month. Controlling the lighthouse with one hand would be exhausting, but it still was better than the time when Ryoshu tore off her legs and Don Quixote had to crawl up and down the stairs for months.
"In more ways than you can count," Ryoshu agrees. She no longer seems angry, perhaps satisfied with Don Quixote’s suffering or knowledge that she won't be able to stop her hunts properly for some time. "I asked about your kin around,” her words tug Don Quixote’s mind out of the haze, “but they rarely reach my domain, paralyzed with crippling fear. However, mortals describe them as terrifying monsters equal to us in strength. Did you trade your power for bravery?"

The expedition to La Manchaland goes extremely poorly, and Don Quixote ends up in what might be the worst possible position for her personally. Of course, she has no idea why that would be.
Dulcinea has centuries of bitterness to vent. It's only a shame that the target available isn't exactly the person she'd prefer to vent on. But after all, one makes do with what one has.

Summary
It doesn’t feel like a game to engage in, something to chase, something to catch. It doesn’t weigh her down as much as it once did, either. It’s just always there, waiting for her to work it through, bitter and slightly sweet, but mostly tasting of void, a pit right behind her ribcage. Don Quixote has pulled one of the ribs out like a bad tooth, and now it’s healing, so slow, torturous.

"Everyone in the Sect, Gongyang Huai included, appears to be convinced Qi Yan has fallen into a deep mourning state she has yet to emerge from for the past seven months, in addition to the injuries that took months to recover. Their pity is irritating, but ultimately works to her advantage. Nangong Jingnu’s demise adds yet another layer of tragedy to her character, making her even more impossible to suspect of foul play.
Nothing has changed, really. In death, Nangong Jingnu keeps on pestering her as much as she did alive, the memory of her tainting every corner of the Qing Jing Peak, from the ink and brush set she gave to Qi Yan to the training grounds where she consistently insisted to drag Qi Yan to watch her practice and give her pointers.
In death, she’s not free of Qi Yan’s schemes. Qi Yan still manages to find despicable ways to use her ghost for her own gain. The nightmares she faces every night and the suffering carved on her back are a meager price to pay for her crimes."
