Summary
Bart Bogue kills her husband dead in the street, not with a flash of magic but with a plain old bullet. Emma can't do a thing to stop it or to save her husband. So, she casts a spell to find the people who can get her both the righteousness her Matthew deserves and the revenge she seeks.
Josh has always played with luck, watching its whims with a careful eye and doing his best to manipulate it when the opportunity struck. Somehow, a card game ends in him joining a suicide mission to save some small town that a warlock is terrorizing.
At least he gets to meet some strange individuals from the whole situation.
