Dough Theft

Summary:

In a quick defensive move you flicked the dough on your finger directly into his face, split up into a few droplets spread over his nose and cheek. Sebastian blinked at you perplexed, letting your hand go in shock and you started snickering. “Sorry, Sebas.” You couldn’t contain your laughter anymore, when you reached up and brushed the dough from his cheek with your thumb. “Too tempting.”

Work Text:

It was a normal day in the mansion. You and Sebastian were in the kitchen, the chores of the first half of the day already finished. You were able to convince him to not just find something else to do but instead focus your remaining energy on baking. Muffins and cookies it should be. While Sebas was very familiar with all types of cooking and baking from around the world, thanks to the residents of the mansion, you told yourself you would teach him how to make classic blueberry and chocolate muffins. It was easy enough.. Or so you thought.

Aside from thieves with sweet teeth trying to sneak into the kitchen and steal some of the dough you two were making, it was just too much fun to poke Sebastian and tease him now and then while he tried to concentrate on the task at hand. “If you are not going to help, you might as well spend your afternoon outside of this kitchen.” He wasn’t impressed at all. You leaned your head against his shoulder, while he put the ingredients into the bowl for the next batch of muffins, a smile on your lips. The domestic feeling of the situation filled your heart with a pleasant warmth.

After a moment of silence, you went to wash your hands and then tried to sneak up on the bowl with the fresh dough, while Sebastian was busy with something else. You dipped your index finger into the bowl, determined to get a taste. Your attempt at theft didn’t go as planned, though, because a hand grabbed your wrist and held it in place, the dough still on your fingertrip.

“And what do you think you’re doing?”, he asked sharply but there was a glint of mischief in his eyes. Was he planning something? Maybe. But you had to react first, so he couldn’t even start to put his plan into action.

He raised an eyebrow at you, wordlessly handing you a towel from close by. You took it with a smile and gently cleaned the rest of his face. You pushed yourself up on your tiptoes and pressed a light kiss to his cheek. His expression turned gentle for a moment and unknown to you, he had dipped his own finger into the dough bowl and now with a quick movement, smeared it all over your face.

Now it was your turn to look shocked into his smug face.

“Oh no, you didn’t.”, you exclaimed in irritation.

None of you noticed Arthur peeking into the kitchen, amused watching the exchange, before opening his mouth and raising his voice. “Hey! The humans are flirting in the kitchen!”

“What the… Arthur! Shut up!” You threw the towel, still in your hands, directly at him. He just laughed and took off, still yelling to annoy mostly you. “Get back here!”

As you were running after him, dough still smeared in the face, chasing angrily after Arthur, Sebastian looked at the now empty space where you stood before. A soft smile and eyes full of affection, he shook his head and got back to baking. Apparently he was finishing the rest by himself.
