Chapter Text
Lan Qiren was a good teacher, he had excellent results, his classes taught more than the curriculum, he was renown for his behaviour correction, he taught young cultivators to become responsible, respectable and good, he had a perfect record of sending unruly and devious disciplines back home well behaved with manners and diligence.
Wei Wuxian wasn't the most unruly or terrible discipline he has had sent to him, like his mother, he had too much energy, too many ideas and wouldn't settle down even if Lan Qiren gave him the harshest disciplines possible. He wasn't someone Lan Qiren could tame and reign down like he has done before, but, just because old ideas doesn't work doesn't mean he can give up. Giving up on a discipline is not something Lan Qiren does without a fight. He would just need a new way too keep the boy out of trouble, occupied.
He was intelligent, he noted, and even if his ideas were disastrous and bordering immoral, he decided that intelligence could be carefully watched and nurtured, possibly to be sent down a path which Lan Qiren could agree with.
Resentful energy, ridiculous.
"Wei Wuxian, from today till next month you will spent the hours after dinner in my office, with me, as punishment for your dangerous ideas and the spreading of them." Lan Qiren felt a slight sliver of joy at the dismayed cry from the boy.
He was a boy after all, he can still be taught right from wrong, and hopefully Lan Qiren will be the one to do so.
