Chapter Text

Being a hero was no easy job. Someone can be assigned to normal patrols while others to dangerous missions though assignments were mostly based on a hero's quirk and compatibility. It was also not unusual for heroes to be abruptly called in the middle of the night for an emergency meeting without any advise, like what was happening to him now.

"Good evening Eraserhead, sorry for calling you out of the blue but we need you to come now at UA to attend a highly confidential meeting. You are trusted not to share this information to anyone and any details you may know during the meeting should be kept to upmost confidentiality."

"Ughh. Good evening Detective Tsukauchi. Okay, I understand. But..really? A meeting... At 2AM?"

"This is a very dangerous mission and should be discussed immediately so yes Eraserhead, a meeting is necessary now."

"Sigh. Okay Detective. I'll be there for 5mins max."

"Thank you Eraserhead."

That was why he found himself rummaging for any decent clothes to wear and went for quick run towards the school. He also thought why UA of all places? Not like he was complaining because it was convenient for him as he was near the area.

When he arrived at the meeting room, he was surprised to see the top heroes who were already in the room.

'What the fuck?'

All top 10 heroes were already occupying the seats along with the UA teachers and it looked like he was the last one to arrive.

"Good. You are already here, Eraserhead. Please take a seat so we can start."

Aizawa then gave the detective a questioning look and decided to just listen for now. He went to sit beside Hizashi who saved him a seat and stared at the big projector in the middle of the room.

"Ne, Shouta. Do you have any idea what the heck is happening? With all these top heroes in the room, I can't help but be nervous with this emergency meeting." Hizashi can't help but to ask his friend.

"Don't ask me. I also don't have any prior information about this ruckus."

"Hello, everyone. I know all of you are wondering what may have caused this urgent meeting. What I am about to share to you all should only be kept within this room and no information is expected to be shared to anyone.

Okay. First, I'll let you watch something."

The detective then played something on his laptop and the screen of the projector consequently changed into a white room. It looked like a live monitoring of someone else's room. It just that it appeared to be a bit creepy with how plain and white the room was. A hospital's room may be a better choice than this. There were not much furnitures, just a simple bulky bed, a study table, a cabinet and was that a bookshelf? Now that was a bit out of place.

"What can you see now is a special room located in Tartarus. This room is only used to contain villains who are high profile and whose existence are not known to the public to avoid mass panicking. Actually his existence is also not known to any heroes and only the Hero Commission and very few high top ranking police officials know about him."

'Mass panicking? Not known to any heroes? Now this may seem serious now.' As far as he knew, with him working in the underground, he did not encounter any notorious villains being captured for the passed years that were placed in Tartarus. And with the Hero Commission being involved, he knew this was something else.

"Why did the Commission hide this from the heroes? Isn't that an irresponsible move? And now you go and seek our help to clean your messes." grunted the hero Endeavour who was clearly angry with this undisclosed case.

"Regarding that Endeavour, the Commission would like to send their apologies on the matter and is still hoping for your cooperation on the case. I think we are all aware that the Commission has a separate protocol in withholding information to heroes and considering the confidentiality of this case, I'm not surprised anymore. We hope everyone is still willing to lend some help?"

All top heroes stared with each other and they unanimously nodded their heads.

Feeling glad with the positive responses with some thumbs up, the detective again expressed his gratitude and continued on explaining the case.

Just as he was going to continue his explanation, a teenager, wait what was a kid doing in that room?

"Uh.. Tsukauchi, why is there a kid inside that specific room?" All Might hesitantly asked what everyone was thinking at the moment.

Everything was just going fine when suddenly the Detective's face turned pale and immediately got his phone and tried to call for someone.

Emphasis on tried.

Because with the way he was cursing non stop under his breath, the heroes knew something was definitely wrong.

"Shit. I'm sorry to cut this meeting short but we immediately need to go to Tartarus. He might try to go out on his own and we definitely can't afford that! I'll explain everything while we go there."

The detective immediately bolted out of the room and the remaining occupants were left a bit surprised but eventually got out of their stupor and went to meet the stressed Detective at Tartarus.

**

Aizawa was in the car with the rest of the UA teachers and Nezu and was waiting for the detective to continue his explanation earlier. While they were still waiting, Aizawa can't help but to break the ice and ask Nezu.

"Principal Nezu. Do you have any idea what is this case all about? With the way the detective is acting, this feels like the villain is capable of destroying Japan or even the world."

Everybody had winced with Aizawa's description of the villain. They were actually feeling nervous and did not really know if they can really win against this unknown villain.

"I understand where you are coming from Aizawa but the Commission is strictly prohibiting any information about the villain and even I can't access on those files. All traces of this case have been successfully erased."

"Even you Principal? Now that is a bit surprising."

"Hm. It is. That is why as much as I want to answer you Aizawa, I can't. Let us just wait for the detective."

"Fuck. I hate it when we raid a villain and we don't know a thing about him. That is just pure suicidal."

Everyone got silent. They knew what Aizawa had said was the truth. They were willing to risk their lives just to save everyone in this country but not knowing anything about the villain would be the worst mission ever. Not like they were going undercover, no, they were expected to fight straight to the battlefield.

After some more agonising minutes have passed, the Detective finally called them. They immediately answered the call and patiently waited for the detective to start.

"I'm sorry for the wait everyone. Regarding the kid we are about to stop, his name is Midoriya Izuku, 15 years old and he started living in Tartarus when his quirk had manifested 11 years ago."

"What? The Commission had put a 4 year old kid in Tartarus? In that room?"

Everyone has sensed Aizawa's anger regarding that information. Well, they were all surprised to know that the Commission had really did this to a kid.

"Yes, Eraserhead. That is right. Midoriya had been living inside Tartarus for 11 years now. We... We also did not expect something like this."

"Fuck them seriously. So based on that facts Detective, we are not really dealing with a 'villain' but rather to a teenager with an uncontrollable quirk, right?"

"T-that is right, Eraserhead. Midoriya is...not really a villain but the Commission did not want to believe he is not going to go berserk like when his quirk had first manifested."

"Ugghh. Really fuck them. Just if we can handle this case just right, will they promise not to meddle anymore?"

"Yes Eraserhead, they are willing to give the custody of the kid to whoever he wants to come with."

"Hm. Okay. That's fair. Last question. What is the kid's quirk anyway?"

Then they heard how the Detective took a gulp and answered in a nervous voice.

"I...don't really know the exact abilities of his quirk and the Commission only gave the name for it but just hearing the name is already making me nervous. "

"They called it 'God'."

**

Everything was destroyed. The huge prison that they once knew as Tartarus was already gone. Surrounding the area were various bodies laying on the ground. They could recognise some of the bodies as the guards and employees of the prison. They could also figure out that the remaining bodies were the supposed imprisoned villains.

They all shuddered with the idea of them being dead.

Then in the center of the possible mass killings was the kid they all came for. The kid was looking at them with emotionless eyes and they could all feel the mysterious power surging behind those piercing stares.

Endeavour, wanting to act first, shouted so loud like his pride was on the line.

"Hey, kid! What the fuck did you do here?! Did you kill all these people?!"

He wanted to commend Endeavour for not attacking first hand and talking with the kid first. The kid did not respond and just continued to stare with them. Then he slightly turned his head to both sides to somehow answer what they thought was a no.

They..did not know how to react on that 'No'. It was obvious to all of them that the kid was the reason for this scene and they were contemplating on what to do at the moment.

More minutes have passed with no one backing out with the staring. They were all getting anxious with all the silence and were already planning of several ways to stop the kid the moment he decided to move.

Just when the heroes silently came to an agreement to all surround the kid, they all felt their bodies suddenly being stopped.

They could not even move a finger!

It felt heavy. Like their whole bodies were suddenly got frozen in place.

They all tried to use their respective quirks but were shocked to discover that they can't even activate them.

They all looked in horror to the only person who could do this.

The kid for the first time opened his mouth, raised a finger and uttered a silent,

"Go to sleep, okay?"

It sounded innocent, even like a whisper of an excited child.

They could not able to say anything back when they all felt really sleepy and were only met with darkness.

**

They all fucked up.

They did not know how many hours have passed since they have woken up from their deep slumber. Actually, it was weird because they only dreamt of nice things.

Nevertheless, the mission to stop the kid from leaving Tartarus was a huge failure. They were just glad that all of the prison's employees and villains were actually not dead and just also fell asleep.

The Detective was utterly disappointed and advised them to just go home for now. He thanked all of them for their time and promised to update them for any news about the kid.

They all looked defeated when they left the place.

**

When Aizawa finally arrived at his small apartment, the events from earlier kept on repeating inside his head. The feeling of being helpless was the worst feeling anyone could have. Knowing they could not do anything and were left to the kid's mercy was so devastatingly pathetic.

He promised to himself that he would get the bottom of this case. They could not let a kid so unbelievably powerful at that to wander so freely on the streets. He was like a walking disaster.

For now, he resigned himself for some sought after sleep. He unlocked his apartment and went inside.

Now that was strange.

Everytime he arrived at his home in the morning, his cats would always greet him right after opening the door. Could they maybe overslept?

He did not want to think anymore and just proceeded to his room, only to be met with the familiar kid they were all looking for. He was peacefully sleeping on his bed with all of his three cats comfortably cuddling with him.

What the fuck.
