Miruko and Aizawa Got Married For Convenience, and Other Facts-That-Totally-Aren’t-Lies-What-Are-You-Saying

Summary:

Midnight glared at Bakugou.

“Why,” she started, “did Miruko call me at three am last night to yell at me for ‘telling her son that he’s adopted’.”

She slammed her hands on the table in front of her.

“And why,” she continued, “did Aizawa Shouta tell me this morning that he was glad that he and Miruko made Ms. Joke your godmother and not me?”

Bakugou smirked. “Don’t worry, you’re Shinsou’s godmother. Miruko is Tokoyami’s though.”

Shinsou fell out of his chair.

Bakugou shrugged. “It’s weird that my godfather was turned into Kurogiri, but I went to visit him, and he’s just stressed over his dumbass villainous children. Having Present Mic for a stepdad is weirder.”

Tokoyami snickered from behind Sero. “I’m not sure where you’ve been if you didn’t even know you’re Shinsou’s godmother. Honestly, it’s like you’re not even a part of this family.”

Midnight slammed her head onto her desk and screamed.

(Or: I meant to just write Miruko accidentally acquiring Bakugou for an intern, but now she and Aizawa are acting like they adopted Bakugou years ago in an elaborate scheme and they’re denying any evidence otherwise.)

Notes:

I swear I only meant to write a Miruko and Bakugou internship fic, but then Usagami “I don’t do interns” Rumi decided to tell Hawks Katsuki wasn’t an intern but her son, and then when poor Hawks questioned it she told him Katsuki doesn’t know he’s adopted, but Katsuki does know, and Aizawa has partial custody as well, and here we are.

…This is nearly as self indulgent as Stop Sending Me Memes

Chapter 1

Summary:

In which Katsuki goes to his Mother's (yes, his mother's. we'll get to that.)

Chapter Text

Katsuki sighed and looked down at the many envelopes spread across his dorm room floor.

Of course, being as skilled as he was, he got many internship offers for his second year. It didn’t mean that he had any idea of who to accept, however.

He sighed. Endeavor, although an asshole, had been a good idea. Jeanist had been great too, in the long run.

Who the fuck was he supposed to pick now?

He glanced over all the invitations and one caught his eye. It didn’t have any recognizable logo on it, and appeared to have just an address scrawled in sloppy handwriting.

Katsuki picked it up and opened it.

Hey punk!

Well, that’s one way to start a letter.

I like your determination! It was kinda shitty of the teachers to get mad at you for wanting a fair fight.

Katsuki narrowed his eyes. This person was right about his motives, but did they really not agree with his teachers?

I don’t do interns, or work studies, so I have no clue what paperwork you need, but if you want to come hang out with me for a bit, that would be chill.

Katsuki rolled his eyes. Who the fuck was this?

My address is enclosed. Stop by whenever! We’ll work something out.

Katsuki’s eyes widened in shock.

Cheers, Miruko

Katsuki dropped the letter.

An invitation from Miruko? No personal agency Miruko? Notorious for being a very independent hero? She wanted him to come work with her?

What the fuck?

Katsuki picked up the letter again. He thought about it.

A work study with Miruko? Why not?

He’d visit and give her his answer.

Hell fucking yeah.

Katsuki knocked on the door.

Miruko’s apartment was actually very low key. It wasn’t some fancy place, although it looked like she had the only apartment on the floor. It made sense that she’d want some privacy.

Katsuki looked around. It wasn’t that shoddy of an area either. It seemed pretty near Hawks’s agency. It made sense that Miruko didn’t have an agency of her own if she could just go train with Hawks.

The door flung open to reveal Miruko herself, wearing sweatpants and a ragged t-shirt with stains.

“Kid! You made it!” Miruko grabbed Katsuki by the arm and dragged him in.

Katsuki blinked as his eyes adjusted to the darkened apartment. There was an old ratty couch in front of a TV, and various gear and paperwork spread across the room. He could see barely into a kitchen with a small table and a hallway presumably leading to a bedroom or two.

Miruko let go of him and walked past him to the couch. She plopped down and flipped through some papers she had.

“Let’s see, I think I stole the right paperwork from Hawks, but I’m not sure.”

Katsuki slowly approached the couch and sat down on a blank spot.

Miruko let out a sound of triumph and tossed a few papers over to Katsuki. He scrambled to catch them.

Huh. Internship papers.

Yeesh, Miruko’s handwriting was terrible.

“Your handwriting fucking sucks.”

Miruko snorted. “Yeah, it pisses off the hero commission. It’s why I keep doing it. How’d you learn to fight? You take classes?”

Katsuki shook his head. “Nah, just a lot of practice. Also copying my mom.”

Miruko stared at him.

Katsuki frowned. “What?”

Miruko continued staring. “On you?”

Katsuki huffed. “Yeah? Of course? It’s normal right? All Might didn’t say anything about it. Aizawa-sensei was pretty out of it, but he didn’t say anything either.”

Miruko pointed aggressively towards him. “This is your home now.”

Katsuki blinked. “What?”

Miruko waved around her. “This is your home now. You should bring your stuff with you next time.”

Katsuki shook his head. “Why would you want that?”

Miruko shrugged. “Because you’re cool and we get along well. Duh.”

Katsuki looked down at the papers in his hands. “Alright. I’ll stick around.”

Miruko grinned. “Perfect! Now let’s talk about your form…”

Aizawa-sensei had them hand in their work study paperwork not long after.

He sighed at the class. “All of you be careful. I don’t want any incidents again, as we did last year.”

He glared at Deku, Icyhot, and Glasses.

Katsuki hid his amusement behind a hand. The whole class knew somewhat about the Stain incident by this point. The three of them would never live down barging in and fighting a villain without supervision.

Aizawa-sensei continued talking. “Now, you all will be gone for three weeks this time. I expect you all to behave. Do not force the poor heroes to put up with your usual brand of chaos.”

Jirou raised her hand. “What if villains attack because of the Class A curse?”

Aizawa-sensei raised an eyebrow. “Who came up with that?”

Froppy smiled. “Class B’s Tokage said that every time Class B came with Class A somewhere they ended up attacked, and called it the Class A curse.”

Aizawa-sensei sighed. “It’s accurate, at least. Turn in your paperwork before nine so the Commission can pick it up. Then you have until eleven to get yourselves off campus.”

Glasses raised his hand. “That means we have ten minutes, classmates! Please get it done in a timely fashion!”

The class began muttering as they all started working. Aizawa-sensei slumped over in his sleeping bag.

Hanta got Katsuki’s attention. “Where are you going, man?”

Katsuki glared. “None of your fucking business, that’s what.”

Jirou raised an eyebrow. “You seem pretty excited about it.”

Katsuki reluctantly nodded and pulled out his forms.

Unlike the rest of the fucking nitwits in the class, he had filled out what he needed to ahead of time. He had actually taken some advice from Miruko and filled out the forms in painfully sloppy handwriting. It was what people expected from him, anyways.

Katsuki grinned. Miruko literally hadn’t helped him with the paperwork at all, seeing as she had even less of an idea as to what she was doing than Katsuki, but at least this way no one in the Hero Commission (the fucking bastards) would be able to stop the two of them from teaming up until it was too late.

He stood and went to the front of the room with his paperwork.

Aizawa-sensei opened his eyes as Katsuki placed the paperwork in the box. “See you in three weeks, hell child. If you get hurt I will be very disappointed in you.”

Katsuki raised an eyebrow. “What about kidnapped?”

Aizawa-sensei did some motion possibly resembling a shrug. “That wasn’t ever your fault. Have fun.”

He closed his eyes and rolled over, missing the feral smirk crossing Katsuki’s face once more.

Katsuki walked out the door to grab his shit. Aizawa-sensei was the best teacher he’d ever had, and deserved better than their stupid class, but he was glad he was there. Having one adult around that didn’t think he was terrible was kind of nice.

It seemed like Miruko would be the same way.

Notes:

Hello! Welcome to my au! It is very cracky but also full of good feelings and revenge.

Listen, after this chapter it quickly devolves into a good heaping of crack because I no longer have control of the plot. I’m not as upset by this as I could be, tbh.

Chapter 2

Summary:

In which Katsuki gets lots of compliments from his parents (both of them. there's a phone call.)

Hey! It's up!

Chapter Text

Katsuki unlocked the door to Miruko’s apartment and opened it.

Was it weird that she had given him a key? Eh, what did he know about normal interactions with people.

He walked into the apartment. “What’s up, bitch!”

Miruko poked her head out from the hallway to the bedrooms. “Shithead! How’ve you been? Ready to beat up some criminals with minimal property damage?”

Katsuki dumped his bags next to the couch. “You know I am, Miruko!”

Miruko scoffed. “Kid, I’ve told you to call me Rumi already.”

Katsuki sighed. “Rumi-san.”

Miruko shrugged. “Close enough. You got your gear all ready?”

Katsuki grinned. “Let me grab my gauntlets.”

He grabbed his gear case and took it to the spare bedroom. The rest of his stuff could wait.

Once his gauntlets were on, he went back out into the living room. Miruko was stretching, also in her hero costume.

She stood and waved to the door. “After you!”

Katsuki laughed at her and walked out the door.

Miruko—Rumi-san pointed out several hotspots as they walked through the city.

She pointed to an alley. “Lots of villains like to hang out there because it’s right next to the bank. If they have a lick of common sense, they try to use that for their exit route. Be aware of that, because that means there’s likely villains trying the bank or the jeweler’s across the street.

Katsuki nodded. “Got it.”

Miruko—Rumi-san waved to another civilian they passed. “Hello Suzuki-san! How’s the shop?”

Katsuki raised an eyebrow. Miru—Rumi-san smiled. “I saved his shop one time, he’s real nice!”

The guy laughed. “The shop’s doing great. How are you doing, Miruko-san?”

Miruko grinned. “I’m doing great! Have you met Bakugou?”

The guy waved to Katsuki with a smile, before turning back to Miruko. “I thought you didn’t do interns? What changed with this one?”

Katsuki scoffed. “Do I look like an intern to you?”

The guy raised his eyebrows. Mi—Rumi-san cackled.

She waved to Katsuki. “This is my kid!”

The guy laughed. “Nice to meet you, Bakugou. Take care of yourself when you get into all your fights, you hear?”

Katsuki blinked. What was it with adults showing actual unprompted care these days?

Mi—Rumi-san bumped shoulders with him. “Don’t worry, we’ve got ourselves covered!”

Katsuki was about to respond when he caught something out of the corner of his eye. “4 o'clock.”

M—Rumi-san turned her ears. “Nice call kid, sounds like there’s only one of them. How about we do this one together, and then we can figure out what we’ll do next time.”

Katsuki nodded.

They turned and ran after the villain together.

Katsuki and Rumi-san were eating dinner together at the kitchen table when her phone rang.

Katsuki raised an eyebrow. “Are you gonna get that?”

Rumi-san shrugged. “Depends who it is. I might ignore it.”

She stood and walked over to her bag across the room. She hummed when she looked at the screen and made her way back over.

Katsuki frowned. “Who is it?”

Rumi-san hit a few buttons and set the phone on the table.

Accidentally cool. Whomst the fuck was that?

Rumi-san snorted at the look on Katsuki’s face. “Hey Eraserhead!”

“Why did I not know until now that you had my favorite problem child.”

“I have custody for three weeks. You know this Aizawa. I have a right to see my son. Besides, we both know that Katsuki isn’t a problem child.”

Katsuki stared at Rumi-san. “What the fuck?”

Aizawa-san sighed over the line. “He’s my son too. You can’t just take him whenever. I don’t care about the custody agreement, but please let me know when you take him, I worry he’ll get kidnapped again.”

Katsuki gaped. Rumi-san cackled.

Aizawa-san spoke again. “By the way, you did very well with that villain take down today, I’m very proud of you.”

Katsuki hid his face in his hands. Rumi-san laughed and leaned over to give him a sideways hug Katsuki let happen.

“He was brilliant, wasn’t he? He insisted on cooking dinner tonight as well. He’s so talented, such a hard worker!”

Katsuki continued to hide his face. Aizawa-san chuckled.

“Yeah, he’ll do that. Let him. Take care, you two.”

Katsuki muttered into his hands, “Bye sensei.”

They sat in a comfortable silence.

Katsuki blinked. “So wait, did I just get adopted or what?”

Rumi-san smirked. "Excuse you, you were never not my child.”

Katsuki sighed. “Okay then.”

Rumi-san shot him a look like she knew he wasn’t actually bothered by it. Katsuki grumbled and continued eating.

Katsuki knocked out a villain with a move Rumi-san taught him their next patrol.

Rumi-san clapped.

He stared at her.

She shrugged. “What? You did a really good job. I’m proud of you!”

Katsuki rolled his eyes, blushing.

Rumi-san walked over to finish dealing with the cops. Katsuki would have been in a good mood, if not for the reporters.

They kept yelling at him. And he had to deal with them until Rumi-san got back.

Terrific.

He sighed and tried to answer their questions with minimal cursing.

One reporter stuck their mic out in Katsuki’s face.

“What do you have to say about your villainous behavior?”

Katsuki didn’t know how to respond to that one.

Luckily, Rumi-san showed up and slung an arm around his shoulder.

“Hey there! I see you’ve met my kid! He’s getting so much better! We’re working on cutting down property damage today. I say he did pretty well for his first shot!”

Katsuki rolled his eyes. “I can hold back.”

The reporters frowned. “Wha—“

Rumi-san ruffled his hair. “Aw, yeah you can! Didn’t stop you from giving those villains a full out, honorable fight, did it?”

“Nope.”

“Atta boy! Giving it your all! Say, you should spar with that gravity girl more when you go back, she’s the only one who really gave you a run for your money.”

“Yeah, Uraraka and Kirishima. Sparred last week with Ojiro too.”

“Aw, that’s why your martial arts have improved from when you came to visit before! You better use some of those moves in our spar tonight!”

“Of course I will, who do you take me for?”

Rumi-san ruffled Katsuki’s hair again with a laugh before turning back to the reporters. She smiled threateningly.

“Anything else you need?”

The reporters stared. The one that had asked the question spluttered. “No, Miruko-san.”

Rumi-san grinned. “Good! Want to see what ingredients for dinner we can get from Suzuki-san, kiddo?”

Katsuki genuinely smiled. “Sounds great.”

Notes:

Hello everyone!!

I'm glad you all like this so far! (I'm excited too...there will be ALL the chaos.)

Chapter Text

Rumi and Katsuki walked through the doors of Hawks’s agency.

Rumi grinned and ruffled the kid’s hair. “Hawks is here again today, so that’ll be fun!”

Katsuki scrunched his nose. “I’ve met him before. He’s annoying.”

Rumi laughed. “Yeah, he is. Like the little brother I never wanted.”

Katsuki smirked a bit. “Uncle Hawks.”

Rumi started cackling. “Please call him that where I can see, he’ll be so mad about it!”

They walked into one of the training rooms. Hawks was there, along with—

“Tokoyami, hey!” Katsuki waved at the bird boy.

Rumi snorted. “You’re acknowledging his existence?”

Katsuki shrugged at her. “He’s not all that bad. And he’s Hawks’s kid.”

Tokoyami nodded to them both, his quirk hovering at his side. “Hello, Bakugou. We’re repainting after they patched up the wall.”

Katsuki raised an eyebrow at the small amount of wall with paint on it. Rumi frowned.

“It’s Usagiyama-Aizawa, actually.”

Tokoyami looked at Katsuki. Katsuki shrugged.

“She said I was never not her child. So yeah, I suppose I’m Usagiyama-Aizawa. Aizawa-sensei called her to yell about custody or something.”

Tokoyami shook his head. “You get involved in the weirdest stuff.”

Katsuki shrugged again. “Yeah, but you’re Hawks’s kid and Hawks is now my uncle so you’re involved too.”

Tokoyami lay down on the mats. Dark Shadow started cackling.

Rumi smiled. It was nice, how Katsuki wasn’t as on edge anymore. No one was trying to set him off, and she could protect him at least a bit from the media.

Hawks tapped her shoulder. She turned to him.

“What’s up?”

Hawks stared at her. “You have an intern?”

Rumi scoffed. “An intern?”

Hawks gestured wildly to where Katsuki had begun gleefully exploding paint onto the wall, only encouraging Dark Shadow to do the same.

Rumi waved him off. Seriously. “That’s my kid, not an intern.”

Hawks stared at her. “You do realize that’s not actually your kid.”

Rumi slammed a hand over his mouth. “Shh! He doesn’t know he’s adopted yet!”

Katsuki turned to yell at them. “Yeah I do, Midnight told me!”

Rumi gasped and then smirked. “Oh good, I’ve been looking for an excuse to punch her!”

Katsuki rolled his eyes and went back to painting with Dark Shadow, leaving Tokoyami blinking in surprise on the ground.

Hawks narrowed his eyes. “He has actual parents.”

Rumi shrugged. “Of course he does, Eraserhead and I share custody. Mother and a father, what more do you want?”

Hawks facepalmed.

Katsuki was texting his friends the next evening.

Rumi raised an eyebrow. “Are you glad we went to Hawks’s place?”

Katsuki scoffed. “That man is a disaster.”

Rumi hummed. “Yeah. But you got Tokoyami’s number.”

Katsuki rolled his eyes. “Yeah. It’s nice. I’m texting Kirishima too, and I messaged the squad group chat so they know I’m not kidnapped.”

Rumi smiled. “They worry that much?”

Katsuki sighed. “I’m more worried they’ll get themselves killed trying to rescue me, but yeah.”

Rumi watched as Katsuki went back to texting his friends. His smile was less repressed than usual. That was good.

Her phone started vibrating in her hand. She took it into the kitchen.

“Hey Aizawa!”

“I’m going to punch Midnight if she makes one more remark about Katsuki’s so called villainous anger issues.”

Rumi snorted and grabbed herself a protein shake. “Oh, I have first dibs because she told Katsuki he’s adopted.”

There was a moment of silence.

“…Hizashi? I’m going to go get rid of Nemuri.”

Rumi snorted and nearly spilled her drink.

There was a faint “why”.

“…She told Katsuki he’s adopted.”

Another faint, “…Katsuki’s adopted?”

“…Hizashi, you’re his stepfather.”

A louder, “Oh, right. That whole document I was writing in. Who are you talking to?”

“This is Miruko.”

Rumi chuckled. “Tell Hizashi I say hi!”

“She says hi.”

“Oh! And I’m planning on taking Katsuki with me to go see Fatgum, so he can say hi to Kirishima.”

Aizawa sighed. “Oh, yeah, sounds great. Just don’t let him out of your sight.”

Rumi laughed. “Okay! Have fun with Nemuri!”

“Were we married?”

Rumi nearly spilled her drink again before she realized what Aizawa was talking about. “For convenience. Ms. Joke is disappointed it wasn’t her.”

“Ah, now I remember.”

He hung up. Rumi literally held a hand over her mouth to contain her laughter.

Rumi and Katsuki were sitting at the kitchen table, eating another meal Katsuki had made.

Rumi snorted. Katsuki kept kicking her out of the kitchen. She couldn’t complain, the food was great, but it was kind of amusing.

Katsuki hummed. He was in a much better mood since they had gone to see Fatgum and Kirishima.

Rumi sighed. It was nice he had friends that supported him, against everything the media would say about him.

Katsuki raised an eyebrow. “We should invite ‘uncle’ Hawks next time.”

Rumi laughed. “Only if Tokoyami comes too. I love you kid, but I can’t deal with you and Hawks snarking back and forth all dinner with no one to make fun of you both with.”

Katsuki snorted. “Fair enough. What paperwork stuff did you have to do, anyways?”

“Oh, just some checking in about All For One’s doctor, the one who made the nomu.”

Katsuki nodded. “That guy seemed almost familiar. Not sure how. Anyways, is it about the high class nomu that got released?”

Rumi nodded. “Yeah. They’re worried it’ll be someone like Kurogiri.”

Katsuki frowned. “Really? He was a nomu?”

Rumi nodded again. “He’s actually made from your dad and step-dad’s dead best friend, and he’s the reason we found the hospital. He broke through his orders when he met with them so he could tell them where to go.”

Katsuki stopped eating.

Rumi glanced at him worriedly. “What’s wrong?”

Katsuki looked up at her. “…You mean my godfather’s alive?”

Rumi stopped eating. “…Oh shit your godfather’s alive.”

Katsuki put down his chopsticks. “…Can we go visit him?”

Rumi smirked. “Oh, absolutely.”

Notes:

:)

I'd like to let you know that the first line of my draft for the next chapter is "Miruko and Katsuki show up at Tartarus like move I’m gay and going to see family."

Chapter Text

Katsuki grinned as Rumi-san argued with the guard.

“We need to see Kurogiri!”

The guard sighed. “I’m sorry, if you are taking a minor in at least two of age heroes must be present and you must have a parent signature of approval.”

Rumi-san rolled her eyes and slid over a piece of paper. “The parent signature is here, and a second hero is on the way. Do we have permission to go in or not?”

The guard squinted at the paper. “Are you actually this young man’s legal guardian?”

Rumi-san nodded. “Yep. You can look it up, if you need to.”

Katsuki raised an eyebrow.

Rumi-san winked at him.

The guard typed something into the computer. It dinged and he raised his eyebrows.

He turned back to Katsuki and Rumi-san. “Sorry about that. We’re just waiting on the other hero then.”

Rumi-san opened her mouth to say something when Katsuki felt an arm fall over his shoulder.

“Don’t worry, I’m here now!”

Katsuki turned to see Ms. Joke grinning at the guard.

The guard sighed. “Go on in. You know where to go.”

The three of them walked into the hallways.

Rumi-san turned to Ms. Joke. “Thanks for coming!”

Ms. Joke laughed. “I’d never miss a chance to see my godson!”

Katsuki blinked. “What?”

Ms. Joke turned to him and used the hand not over his shoulder to ruffle his hair. “Hello godson! I’m here to visit your godfather with you! Miruko texted me to keep Aizawa occupied!”

Katsuki frowned. “What are you doing here then?”

Ms. Joke waved her hand. “Kaminari’s interning with me and I love him, so I set him on UA with a lock pick.”

Katsuki stared at her in horror.

Rumi-san turned to her. Oh right, Katsuki had told her a lot about his idiots. “…Do you realize what you’ve done?”

Ms. Joke scoffed. “You asked me to distract him!”

Katsuki sighed. “Why do you keep asking Aizawa to marry you? Is it because you were jealous of Miruko? They only got married for convenience though.”

Ms. Joke cackled and ruffled his hair again. “Oh no my dear sweet godson, it’s because we’re both gay.”

Katsuki snorted. “That’s fucking hilarious.”

“I know! And now it makes Yamada jealous so lol :).”

“How did you just say that out loud.”

Ms. Joke grinned. “Oh! We’re here!”

The guards there let them into the side room. The three of them stared through the glass at Kurogiri for a moment.

Kurogiri frowned at them all. “Who—”

Katsuki waved. “Hi, I’m your godson.”

Kurogiri stared at him. “…Does this mean that Tomura is your god brother?”

Katsuki glared. “I hope so. Then I can yell at him.”

“I get the feeling you’d yell at him anyways.”

Katsuki shrugged. “True, but still.”

Ms. Joke waved. “Hey dude!”

Kurogiri frowned at her. “…You are Katsuki’s godmother, yes?”

Ms. Joke nodded. “Call me Emi! Now, did you know that Nemuri told Katsuki he’s adopted?”

Kurogiri shook his head. “It’s a good thing she wasn’t made his godmother.”

Rumi-san pointed to him. “That’s what I said! Anyways, Katsuki wanted to see you. Hizashi said that you’re an idiot and your kids are okay.”

Kurogiri nodded. “Thank you.”

Emi-san tilted her head. “Wait, did you break free of the brainwashing stuff?”

Kurogiri nodded.

Emi-san widened her eyes. “Because you realized you have a godson to protect?!”

Kurogiri shrugged. “That was the final trigger, yes. Clearly UA has not been treating him well, but my children are stupid and didn’t do a very good job either.”

Katsuki nodded. “Yeah, your children are dumb.”

Kurogiri sighed. “I can only hope Atsuhiro is doing alright with them.”

Katsuki frowned. “Who?”

Kurogiri sighed. “My also stupid husband.”

Emi-san grinned. “We’ll check on him for you, don’t worry!”

Kurogiri nodded. “Thank you, Emi.”

Rumi-san turned to Katsuki. “You good kid?”

Katsuki shrugged. “It’s nice, having people that care about me.”

Emi-san grinned. “I’m going to kill your birth parents!”

Rumi-san rolled her eyes. “I have first dibs, Fukukado.”

Katsuki sighed. “While we’re here, can I punch that doctor in the face?”

Rumi-san pulled him away from Emi-san into a hug. “Yeah, okay. Do you want to go see the nomu too?”

Katsuki shook his head. “Not today.”

Katsuki and Rumi-san arrived home from patrol to someone on the living room couch.

Rumi-san sighed. “Oh, it’s you.”

The person sat up. “Yeah, hi again.”

Katsuki frowned. Wait a second…

Dabi looked at him from where he had flopped over to look upside down at the two of them. “Hey kid. Sorry about kidnapping you. I’m not sorry about Endeavor or Overhaul though. Miruko, can we spar? I need to refrain from killing Hawks.”

Rumi-san sighed again. “What’d he do this time?”

Dabi shrugged. “Residual feelings from when he killed Twice.”

Katsuki scoffed. “Why the fuck would he do that? The guy wasn’t bad. I mean, he’s an idiot, but not bad.”

Dabi sighed. “Exactly. But he wouldn’t betray us because we stick together whether or not society decides that we’re good so Hawks is a burnt chicken nugget but he’s not dead.”

Rumi-san smirked. “Isn’t Twice okay now though?”

Dabi rolled his eyes. “Yeah, but he did die.”

Rumi-san shrugged. “Okay, let’s go spar.”

Katsuki frowned. “Are you two friends?”

Rumi-san shook her head. “No, we’re sparring partners. Want to come with kid? Or you could go hang with your cousin.”

“Tokoyami?”

“Yeah.”

Katsuki nodded. “Oh yeah, that cousin. Maybe I can bring him.”

Dabi raised a hand. “I’m sorry, your cousin?”

Katsuki rolled his eyes. “Yeah. He’s uncle Hawks’s kid. Uncle Hawks is my uncle on Miruko’s side. Hawks is really annoying but Tokoyami’s cool. He’s mad at you though.”

Dabi shrugged and let his hand fall back down. “Fair enough. Hawks and I no longer get along, so he’s right to be wary. What does that make me?”

Katsuki shrugged. “We’ll see, I guess.”

Chapter Text

Katsuki sighed by the door to the store. “I don’t really get why we’re doing this.”

Rumi-san rolled her eyes. “Because you’re my son and my godson and I want to spoil you rotten. Duh.”

Fumikage sighed. “Somehow I get the feeling that we are literally the only sane ones here.”

Katsuki shrugged. “You’re not wrong."

Dabi frowned. “Are you saying I’m not sane?”

Katsuki and Fumikage both raised their eyebrows.

Dabi shrugged. “Okay, fair.”

Rumi-san rolled her eyes and dragged them into the store. “Next time I’ll leave you to Emi and Denki, would you like that?”

Katsuki glared. Fumikage rolled his eyes. “Here we go again.”

Katsuki pointed at Rumi-san. “Denki has no fucking armor! Nothing! He wears a leather jacket!”

Dabi poked at some colorful hair ties. “Why don’t you just tell him that?”

Fumikage snorted. “He nearly got banned from the group chat and Denki blocked him. He literally can’t.”

Katsuki sighed. “Denki ‘can’t handle the fact that I care about him’ and ‘needs some time before he considers my very valid input on his costume’.”

Dabi raised an eyebrow. “Quotes?”

Fumikage sighed again. “Iida went into lecture mode.”

Dabi scoffed. “Isn’t that the guy that tried to kill Stain for going after his brother?”

Katsuki, Fumikage, and Rumi-san turned to stare at him.

He blinked. “What? I thought that was common knowledge? They just said Endeavor did it to cover up Greenie and Shouto being idiots without licenses.”

Katsuki grinned. “Holy shit. He tried to kill a man.”

Fumikage sighed. “Now he’s never going to take his feet off the desk.”

Rumi-san laughed. “Oh honey, Katsuki is stubborn, but he is such a goodie two shoes for his dad.”

Katsuki turned red. “No I’m not!”

Rumi-san raised an eyebrow. “Sure Firecracker. Do you want this cat hoodie?”

Katsuki stared at it. “…yes.”

Fumikage hid a laugh. Katsuki shoved him.

Dabi sighed. “Fuck, now there’s more beings of chaos.”

Rumi-san handed the phone to Katsuki when he came home from hanging out with Fumikage.

Katsuki raised an eyebrow. “Who is it?”

Rumi-san snorted. “Your dad. Who else?”

Katsuki grinned and took the phone. “Hey Aizawa-sensei.”

Aizawa-sensei sighed. “I’ll get you to call me dad one of these days.”

Katsuki giggled. “Sure you will.”

Hizashi-sensei sounded from the background of the phone call. “Hi Katsuki!”

Katsuki smiled. “Hi Papa Hizashi!”

Aizawa-sensei spluttered. “See, why is he Papa and I’m not even dad? I’m your father!”

“You’re not my birth father, though.”

Aizawa-sensei muttered something that sounded like “fucking Nemuri.”

Hizashi-sensei laughed. “Anyways, how did visiting Oboro go?”

Katsuki shrugged, getting a snack bar from the cabinet. “Alright. I’m going to get into a fistfight with my god brother when I see him though. Uncle Oboro’s actually married, but not actually? Something about he filed the paperwork for tax benefits without asking his husband out first.”

Hizashi-sensei huffed. “Sounds familiar.”

Aizawa-sensei groaned. “Listen, it all worked out, didn’t it? And we got Katsuki out of the whole mess too!”

Katsuki laughed. “We went shopping with Dabi yesterday too. He’s actually not that bad, he gave me blackmail on class president.”

Aizawa-sensei snorted. “Kid, we’ve known Tenya’s brother for ages. We already have plenty of blackmail.”

“Yeah, but you won’t give it to me.”

“That’s because Tensei has blackmail on us too.”

Katsuki sighed. “Of course. What’s a friendship without it.”

A crash sounded from the kitchen. Rumi-san started yelling, but it wasn’t a bad yelling, more like just snarking loudly.

“Ah, seems like Dabi’s here.”

Aizawa-sensei sighed. “What is he doing there?”

Katsuki sighed. “Rumi-san and him talk shit about Uncle Hawks. It’s actually kind of funny. And then we’ll watch trashy TV, yelling at it and throwing popcorn. It’s nice.”

Aizawa-sensei hummed. “Oh, they’re teaching you how to interact with people normally. I’ll let it slide.”

“My godfather’s a zombie, and my godmother’s son won’t wear any armor. I don’t think anyone would call us normal.”

Hizashi-sensei started laughing in the background. Aizawa-sensei sighed.

“Fair enough. I still need to yell at Emi for giving Denki skills. Idiocy does not need competency to back it up."

Katsuki and Fumikage sat on the mats at the Hawks agency, drinking from juice pouches.

Fumikage sighed. “I regret to admit it, but I’m pretty sure Dabi’s my stepdad.”

Katsuki choked on his drink. Fumikage waited for him to catch his breath.

Katsuki turned his head. “…Why?”

Fumikage shrugged. “Because Hawks keeps picking up the phone and almost calling the contact ‘Hottie’ before his face goes dark and sad and he doesn’t. I’m also pretty sure his real name is Touya because Hawks mutters that too.”

Katsuki frowned. “…Todoroki’s dead brother’s name is Touya.”

Fumikage frowned. “…Todoroki can’t be my uncle.”

“So Dabi isn’t your stepdad, he’s just a family friend? Or we could call him the cryptid cousin and be done with it.”

Fumikage nodded. “I think I can live with that. Dark Shadow likes him.”

Katsuki flopped onto his back. It was weird, having Dabi as a close friend of Rumi-san. Despite the denial of friendship between them. Although Rumi-san had called them sparring partners…

“…Is Ojiro a sparring partner of mine? And Uraraka?”

Fumikage blinked. “…Yes.”

Katsuki sighed. “I don’t really want to go back to the dorms tomorrow.”

Fumikage nudged him. “Yeah. I miss Shouji though. And Kouda, Ojirou, and Hagakure.”

Katsuki nudged him back again. “I miss Kirishima. And some of the other idiots I guess.”

Katsuki frowned. It was weird, having a family. Especially a very large one where people had tried to kill each other.

Wait…

“…Aizawa knows Iida’s brother.”

Fumikage slurped his juice box. “Is Iida a member of the family now?”

“I think he’s closer to whatever Dabi’s side of the family is.”

“With that Stain thing? Totally. We should invite him to hang out sometime.”

“Think he’d like eating junk food and watching cooking shows?”

“Will we still do that? Even after we go back to the dorms?”

“Rumi-san says her apartment’s open for us to stop by whenever. It’ll probably be us four and Dabi.”

“I’m sure we could make it work.”

Katsuki frowned deeper. “I’m tempted to invite hands.”

Fumikage raised an eyebrow. “Why Kendou?”

“She’d get along well with us. Learn a lot from Rumi-san.”

“And you want to piss Monoma off?”

Damn, his cousin knew him so well. “Oh, it would so piss him off.”

Chapter Text

Katsuki and Fumikage walked back into the dorms after internships laughing together.

Katsuki held the door open. “Man, I can’t believe Hawks actually fell for that!”

Fumikage nodded his head in thanks as he walked through. “Indeed, you would think he would think? But alas, he slammed face first into the clear cling wrap. He made the noise too.”

Katsuki giggled. “The weird noise Dabi always mimics when he’s sad to cheer himself up?”

Fumikage smiled. “Yes. Now we know for certain they were close.”

“No kidding.”

They headed towards the elevator only to be met with Shinsou coming out with a cat blanket around his shoulders.

Katsuki and Fumikage blinked. Shinsou shuffled slightly.

“What?” He glared at them. “I’m a part of your class now. Get used to it.”

He grumbled and pattered off to the kitchen. Katsuki and Fumikage continued into the elevator.

The doors closed and Katsuki turned to Fumikage.

“I have a brother.”

Fumikage raised an eyebrow. “A brother that now thinks we hate him, presumably because previous classmates treated him similarly.”

Katsuki waved him off. “He’s my brother, I can’t let him know I like him. I just beat up his bullies. Like Denki."

“That’s why Denki’s bullies mysteriously vanished. And Midoriya?”

Katsuki did a full body shudder. “Midoriya is a brother figure, yes. Reluctantly. Eyebags had a blanket with cats on them. He’s obviously an AIzawa.”

Fumikage nodded in agreement. “So is he adopted?”

Katsuki shook his head. “I don’t think so. He looks like Aizawa and he’s got a voice quirk. Gotta be younger than me. Born after the divorce and Aizawa and Yamada’s subsequent marriage.”

The elevator doors opened. Fumikage stepped out onto his floor. “Should we tell Todoroki about Dabi?”

Todoroki appeared from down the hall, towards Deku’s room. “Tell me what?”

Katsuki shrugged and held out an arm to keep the elevator doors from closing. “Dabi’s Touya so you and your siblings are invited to The Night Where We Eat Junk Food And Yell At The TV. Not Endeavor though.”

Fumikage snorted. “Yeah, that’d be a bad idea. I’ll go invite Kendou later if you invite Iida?”

Katsuki tilted his head. “Should I invite Ojiro?”

“Yes. And drag Shinsou.”

Katsuki scoffed. “Please, we’re half siblings. Of course I will.”

Fumikage opened the door to his room. “But you’re adopted.”

Katsuki shrugged. “Still half siblings. Do you think Rumi will be mad at Midnight?”

“Does she really need an excuse?”

“True.”

Fumikage waved and went into his room. Katsuki waved back as the door closed.

Todoroki stared at him. “…I knew it.”

Katsuki frowned. “What?”

Todoroki grinned. “You are Miruko’s son!”

Katsuki grinned back. “Yes I am! Are you getting in the elevator up or not?”

Todoroki hurried in. “I already knew about Touya. Fuyumi held a family meeting where she told me not to hold back if he attacked me first but she’s the only Todoroki allowed to visit him in jail because Natsuo would get caught breaking him out and Father sucks.”

Katsuki put down his arm and let the doors close. “What about you and your mom?”

Shouto shrugged. “Mom’s handling the safe house, and I’m Fuyumi’s alibi for when she breaks Touya out.”

Katsuki nodded. “She doesn’t seem the type to get caught.”

Shouto chuckled. “Nope. She’s known Touya’s alive this whole time.”

Katsuki had his headphones on when he walked into class the next day.

He sat down at his desk. The headphones had been a gift from Rumi-san.

She had glared. “I’ve got birthdays to make up for!”

Katsuki had clutched the headphones to his chest. “Are you saying you didn’t give these to me on my thirteenth birthday?”

Aizawa-sensei tapped his desk.

Katsuki looked up and pulled off his headphones.

“Are you coming to dinner tonight?”

Katsuki smiled. “Of course.”

Aizawa-sensei nodded and ruffled his hair. “It’ll be good to see you again. Hizashi’s missed you.”

Katsuki ducked his head. Aizawa-sensei dropped a black and orange handmade bracelet on his desk.

Katsuki put in on, but raised an eyebrow.

Aizawa-sensei grinned. “Eri misses you.”

He walked back to his desk and got out his lessons. Katsuki put his headphones back on.

Katsuki let the buzz of people talking wash over him as Aizawa-sensei left the room.

Eijiro appeared over him. “Dude, how was the rest of your internship?”

Katsuki smirked. “Great. Got a bunch of experience, watched some trashy tv, and lovingly made fun of Hawks. You?”

Eijiro grinned. “I got Tetsutetsu to come intern with Fatgum with me! He brought Monoma along, and it turns out he’s not that bad. Fatgum kept hugging him, and he gets along really well with Tamaki. I think he might come back.”

Katsuki nodded. “I’m still going to annoy him.”

Eijiro rolled his eyes. “I wouldn't expect otherwise.”

Denki, Hanta, and Mina appeared. Mina grinned. “Jirou went with Present Mic!”

Jirou glared at them from across the room.

Hanta snickered. “We’ve all had good times. How was Miruko? Saw you two fighting together.”

Katsuki shrugged. “Good. You?”

Hanta sighed. “could have been better.”

Mina giggled. “I had a great time with Ryuukuu. Denki?”

Katsuki tilted his head. “How was Emi-san?”

Denki shook his head. “Man, she’s so weird. She’s actually really good at infiltration, and she taught me that. She also kept hugging me? Even when I shocked her?”

Katsuki nodded. “Affection.”

Midnight walked into the room. Everyone drifted back towards their seats.

Katsuki rolled his eyes as Deku started muttering behind him. “Is she okay…?”

Midnight let all her books fall onto the desk with a loud bang.

Everyone stared at her.

Midnight glared at Katsuki.

Katsuki smirked. “Don’t worry, you’re Shinsou’s godmother. Miruko is Fumikage’s though. It’s only fair since Hawks is Shinsou's godfather.”

Shinsou fell out of his chair.

Katsuki shrugged. “I gotta admit, it’s weird that my godfather was turned into Kurogiri, but I went to visit him, and he’s not that bad. Just stressed. Having Present Mic for a stepdad is weirder.”

Fumikage snorted from behind Hanta. “Having Yamada-sensei for a godfather is great. I’m not sure where you’ve been if you didn’t even know you’re Shinsou’s godmother. Honestly, it’s like you’re not even a part of this family.”

Midnight slammed her head onto her desk and screamed.

Todoroki raised his hand. “Wait, how do you know Touya?”

Katsuki rolled his eyes. “He’s sparring partners with Miruko, and he also might be dating Hawks, but they might have broken up.”

Fumikage shrugged. “No one really knows, least of all them.”

Todoroki nodded. “Sounds like him.”

Chapter Text

Katsuki sighed as the whole class swarmed around the lunch table. “Alright, one at a time!”

Uraraka pushed her way to the front. “What happened while we were interning?”

Katsuki shrugged. “I went to stay with Rumi-san, who also happens to be my mother.”

Deku shrieked. “Does that mean you won’t get dragged over to visit anymore?”

Katsuki sighed. “No.”

Deku whined. Katsuki put up a hand to stop him. “…but, I might willingly come over with some combination of family members.”

Deku fist pumped. “This, plus Dad visiting!”

Katsuki raised an eyebrow. “Oh yeah, I’m pretty sure Shouto’s dad was your dad’s brother or something.”

Deku frowned. “What do you mean?”

Shouto looked up from his soba. “My father is sadly deceased. Only my mother, brothers, sister, and I remain. Present Mic-sensei is my mother’s brother though.”

Fumikage sighed. “Why did we think it would be a good idea to bring in Todoroki?”

Shouto slurped. “My name is not Todoroki. It is Dabi Shouto.”

Mina gasped. “What the fuck?”

Katsuki shrugged. “His father changed his last name so now they’re all stuck with it.”

Jirou sighed. “My father will be way too happy to have a brother and a sister, I feel.”

Katsuki nodded at her in respect. Jirou nodded back, exasperated.

Fumikage turned to Ojiro. “Katsuki never told me, are you coming to The Night Where We Eat Junk Food And Yell At The TV?”

Ojiro nodded with a slight grin. “I’m going. Eventually the whole class is going to end up attending, you know that, right?”

Katsuki rolled his eyes. “Obviously. Not this time, but that’s Rumi-san’s plan. She’s going to take us all out from under Aizawa-sensei’s nose, so that he can get a break.”

Uraraka sighed. “He honestly deserves one, dealing with us all the time.”

Katsuki nodded. “Exactly.”

Denki startled and almost knocked his food off the table. Hanta caught it. “Wait, is this why Emi-san told me I didn’t have to go back to my parents? Is this why my name is Fukukado Denki on everything now?!”

Fumikage facepalmed. “Yes Denki.”

Katsuki sighed. “Yes Denki, Emi-san adopted you. And she’s my godmother, so I will tolerate your existence more than usual.”

Denki put his head in his hands. “What the fuck?”

Mina groaned. “Good fucking hell Denki, the fact that someone cares about you should not be this surprising.”

Shouto nudged Deku. “Midoriya, does your father know about your other father?”

“Todoroki-kun! I—“

Katsuki shot him a look.

Deku stopped and sighed. “…Honestly? Yeah. They’re all three in a relationship. My dad actually met Dad in America.”

Shouto hummed. “Interesting.”

Eijiro finished his food. “Hey, does this mean I’m Fat Gum-san’s son?”

Katsuki nodded. “Yes. But shared custody with your moms.”

Eijiro grinned and got up. “See you later, I’m going to go tell Tetsu and Amajiki-senpai!”

Fumikage hummed. “Testutestu will have a better name now.”

Eijiro grinned. "I know, right? See you in class!”

Hanta grinned. “Bye Eijiro!”

Mina quickly swallowed her food. “Bye!”

Katsuki waved.

Hanta nudged him. “Do you think we’ll get adopted too?”

Katsuki sighed. “Yes. With time, that will happen. I’m not sure who, though.”

Mina shrugged. “That’s still really fun.”

Denki whimpered from where he was still face down on the table.

Hitoshi frowned. “Wait, so I’m adopted?”

Fumikage frowned as well. “Yes?”

Katsuki scoffed. “You are clearly Papa Hizashi and Aizawa-sensei’s child. We also have a little sister named Eri, if you don’t know that already.”

“Yeah, I’ve met her.”

Katsuki smiled and raised his arm. “She gave me this bracelet.”

Shouji formed a mouth. “Why do you call them that? Aren’t they both your fathers?”

Katsuki shrugged. “Because it annoys Aizawa-sensei and I’m too nervous to actually call him dad yet. Papa Hizashi’s so weird, it’s impossible to be nervous.”

Deku grinned at him. “Look at you! You’re actually talking about your emotions!”

Katsuki rolled his eyes. “Rumi-san says it’s because I finally have a stable community that I can trust.”

Hagakure leaned over from across Fumikage. “Will class B get adopted as well?”

Katsuki huffed. “Yes.”

Fumikage snorted. “At least by Fat Gum.”

Shouto nodded. “I’m bringing Natsuo, by the way.”

Katsuki smiled. “Natsuo is so cool, so this will be fun.”

Shouto frowned. “Do you like my brother more than me?”

“Yes, and your sister is my favorite Dabi. Apparently she’s sassier than she lets on. I mean, she has a plan for if Touya ever gets arrested.”

“Yeah, and she’s also fireproof.”

“Really?”

“Yeah, she never uses potholders.”

Iida facepalmed. “What the fuck is going on with this class?”

Fumikage raised an eyebrow, amused. “Are you coming to TV night, Iida?”

“Yes. I still hate you all.”

Katsuki smirked. “This is going to be so much fun.”

Ojiro sighed. “So where are we going?”

Katsuki turned to him. He stood on one side of him as they waited in the hallway for the others and Rumi-san.

Fumikage spoke up from his other side. “Rumi-san’s apartment.”

Katsuki nodded. “It’ll be a bit crowded, but fun.”

Fumikage snorted. “We did this a lot while interning. Rumi-san and Touya start throwing popcorn everywhere. It’s amazing.”

Rumi-san rounded the corner.

Katsuki walked up to her and let her hug him. “Hi Mom!”

Rumi-san pulled back with a gasp. "You called me mom! Hello Katsuki!”

Fumikage waved from behind them. “Hello Rumi-san.”

Rumi-san kept her arm around Katsuki but waved back. “Hello Fumikage! Who’s this?”

“This is Ojiro.”

Ojiro smiled and bowed. “It’s nice to meet you, Miruko-san.”

Rumi-san finally let go of Katsuki and ruffled Ojiro’s hair. "Aw, you’re a good kid! I like you.”

Ojiro frowned slightly. “Thank you? Who else is coming?”

Katsuki listed them off. “Kendou, Iida, Shouto, Shinsou, and Shouto’s brother Natsuo.”

Rumi-san nodded. “Also Touya and your god brother.”

Katsuki groaned. “Not Tenko!”

Rumi-san sighed dramatically. “Yes. Apparently your godfather has many children but that’s the only one coming.”

Ojiro turned to Fumikage. “Tenko?”

“Tomura.”

“Shigaraki?”

“He’s Katsuki’s godfather’s son. Katsuki’s going to fight him.”

Ojiro sighed. “That will be fun to watch, honestly.”

They all turned as they heard someone approaching. Midnight walked around the corner. “Oh, it’s you.”

Rumi-san grinned. “Nemuri!”

Midnight sighed. “What are you doing here?”

“I’m picking up kids for The Night Where We Eat Junk Food And Yell At The TV!”

Ojiro tilted his head. “How do you guys keep saying that out loud?”

Fumikage smiled. “Because the laws of the universe follow our will.”

Ojiro sighed. “You are just as chaotic as everyone else in this family, aren’t you.”

Katsuki snorted. “Why else do you think he’s here?”

Fumikage held out his hand for a fist bump. Katsuki took it.

Midnight sighed again. “You may have permission to take out your intern, but you need to get parental permission for the others.”

Rumi-san rolled her eyes. “I don’t have an intern!”

Midnight ran a hand down her face. “Bakugou is literally right behind you.”

Katsuki smirked. “Who, me?”

Rumi-san gasped. “Don’t ever talk to me or my son or my nephew and godson or my son’s sparring partner ever again! I still haven’t forgiven you for telling my son he’s adopted!”

Ojiro tilted his head. “Is a sparring partner where you’re friends centered around the fact you beat each other up?”

Katsuki nodded. “And you deny you’re friends. Like Miruko and Touya.”

Fumikage nudged him. “By the way, Touya asked if you could tell your stepdad thank you.”

Katsuki blinked. “For punching that doctor guy in the face? Okay.”

Rumi-san stalked past them. “Come children, we do not interact with heathens.”

Ojiro frowned as they followed her. “What about the rest?”

Rumi-san shook her head. “We’ll wait for them, but not here. Let’s go find a better place.”

Katsuki smirked. “We could mess with Papa Hizashi in the teacher’s lounge?

Rumi-san grinned. “That sounds amazing so we’re gonna go there!”

Notes:

Next time is The Night Where They Eat Junk Food And Yell At The TV, featuring Tenko.

Chapter Text

Kendou raised an eyebrow. “Somehow, this is exactly what I thought it would be like.”

Katsuki snorted at her as he watched Natsuo tackle Shouto onto Rumi-san’s ratty couch. “Yeah, that’s how I felt walking in here for the first time.”

Rumi-san herself laughed from where she had been standing in the kitchen, helping Dabi climb through the window. “Aw, I love you too kiddo!”

Tomura climbed in the window after Dabi. Katsuki narrowed his eyes.

“You.”

Tomura frowned. “What the fuck is going on?”

Katsuki scoffed. “Reluctantly, you are my godbrother. I still hate you.”

Hitoshi blinked. “Does this happen often? Just announcing your relations to people?”

Shouto finally managed to shove Natsuo off of him. “Yes, actually.”

Dabi rolled his eyes. “Shouto, that was really all you and your conspiracy theorist nature.”

Natsuo got up and slung an arm over Dabi’s shoulder. “Are you sure it’s only him in this family, mister I-ran-off-and-became-a-mysterious-criminal?”

Dabi sighed.

Rumi-san had made her way over to Kendou. “You’re a very good fighter, Kendou! Do you want to spar with me sometime?”

Kendou smiled. “I’d honestly love to, ma’am.”

Hitoshi shook his head. “This is so fucking weird.”

Shouto sat next to him and nudged him. “Why?”

Hitoshi raised an eyebrow. “Having a family? One that cares and I can goof off with?”

Shouto nodded. “Same. That’s why we need to bring Denki next time.”

Katsuki finally shoved Tomura and went to go sit on the floor next to Fumikage. Tomura stumbled over to where Natsuo had begun raiding the cabinets.

Natsuo looked him up and down. “Hello.”

Tomura pouted. “Hi.”

Ojiro sighed and sat on the ground between Fumikage and Katsuki. Fumikage smiled at him and continued stacking a deck of cards up into a tower.

Katsuki flopped back to lay on the floor. “Are any of us paying attention to the TV at this point?”

Ojiro sighed. “Honestly, I’m not surprised. What’s with the card tower?”

Fumikage shrugged. “I’m seeing how tall I can get it before someone does something that knocks it over.”

Ojiro shrugged and started helping him. Katsuki just sighed and turned his head to look at the trashy show.

He spotted Tenya gesturing in the corner.

“No, that is not proper of an up and coming hero!”

Katsuki turned slightly to see Dabi—Touya? Touya—respond to Tenya.

“Yeah, but still. It’d be easier.”

“There are regulations!”

“The whole point of vigilante justice is that if you see something wrong, you can do something about it, without running the risk of being hindered by people with money and associations.”

Tenya thought for a moment. “You still run the risk of getting caught and arrested.”

Touya raised an eyebrow. “Are you telling me you’re not smart enough to cover your tracks?”

Tenya nodded. “Tell me more.”

Katsuki looked back to Ojiro and Fumikage, who had actually gotten their tower pretty tall. “Should we be more concerned about Dabi convincing Tenya to do vigilante justice?”

Fumikage shot him a look. “Hawks sent me a text this morning that said ‘Hey would killing someone be considered a proper form of flirting’. I think Tenya would be more controlled than him.”

Katsuki hummed. “Good point.”

There was a massive thud through the apartment and the card tower collapsed. Ojiro snorted and held his hand out to Fumikage, who dug out some coins.

Katsuki raised an eyebrow.

Fumikage rolled his eyes. “Believe it or not, I thought it would happen sooner.”

Rumi-san yelled from where she and Kendou had been talking in the entryway to the kitchen, “Don’t worry, Natsuo just has his tongue down Tomura’s throat.”

Touya sighed. “Great, now I have to give the shovel talk to Natsuo.”

Shouto frowned. “Why Natsuo?”

“Because Fuyumi’s going to give Tomura the shovel talk and no one else could threaten Natsuo properly.”

“Natsuo’s not scared of you.”

Touya rolled his eyes. “He doesn’t need to be scared of me, he just has to be sure not to hurt Tomura. Natsuo’s a softy, all you have to do is remind him to be careful so he won’t.”

Katsuki sighed and turned his head, looking under the couch. There was a can of air freshener.

He grinned. “Hey Shouto?”

Shouto turned to him. “Yes Katsuki?”

“Can you use your flames for me?”

Shouto blinked. “No.”

Katsuki pouted. “You don’t even know what I want it for!”

Shouto narrowed his eyes. “Midoriya says that you have been getting more free spirited. I do not trust it.”

Kendou snorted. “Knock it off. Let’s play hide and seek!”

Ojiro frowned. “There’s nowhere to hide.”

Kendou raised an eyebrow. “Are you sure?”

Hitoshi shrugged. “I’m down.”

Tenya sighed. “I’ll be seeker.”

Katsuki giggled and climbed up onto the couch as Fumikage ran for the bedrooms. The other kids scattered as well. Dark Shadow crept from down the hall behind Katsuki on the couch.

Katsuki patted their head with a smirk. “You good?”

Dark Shadow huffed. “Hitoshi’s going to win.”

Katsuki nodded. “Shitty parents bonus.”

Shouto frowned and sat on the couch next to him. “Is that not normal?”

Rumi-san and Touya came into the room with popcorn. “Nope.”

Touya sat next to Shouto. “There’s no need to hide in a functional household. You may want to, but there’s no need.”

Rumi-san sat next to Katsuki and immediately threw a handful of popcorn at Touya. “Yeah, you don’t need to hide here, but if you need space you can go to a bedroom and lock the door.”

Touya glared and threw some popcorn back at her. Katsuki sighed as they started fighting.

“You’re supposed to throw it at the TV.”

Rumi-san ruffled his hair and dodged some more popcorn. “Aw, but we prefer it this war for now.”

Katsuki leaned over and reached for the air freshener. He grabbed it and was sitting back up when he heard a laugh from the kitchen.

He frowned. “What was that?”

Touya shrugged. “I guess Natsuo and Tomura have stopped making out?”

Katsuki sighed. “That’s going to be a mess.

Touya shrugged and let some more popcorn from Rumi-san hit the side of his face. “It’ll piss the bastard off.”

Shouto frowned. “Are nomu actually sentient?”

Katsuki nodded. “Some are, like my godfather. He’s Kurogiri. Why?"

“I want to adopt a nomu.”

Katsuki smirked. “Not if I do it first.”

Shouto stared at him for a moment before tackling him off the couch and onto the floor. Katsuki set off a blast near his head, and the air freshener can went flying.

Tenya caught it. “Where is this from?”

Shouto tilted his head from where he had ended up on top of Katsuki. “Want me to light it for you?”

Katsuki pouted and tackled him. “Why wouldn’t you light it for me?”

Shouto scrambled away into the kitchen. Katsuki watched Tenya pull out a lighter and actually light the canister.

He stared.

Tenya shrugged. “Touya made some good points earlier.”

Rumi-san groaned. “Four pyromaniacs in here will not be good for my apartment.”

Touya frowned. “Weren’t you playing hide and seek?”

Tenya shrugged, still watching the flames. “None of us can find Shinsou or Ojiro.”

Katsuki groaned and stood up. “I’m going to have to find them.”

Shouto came back from the kitchen with a slight smile. “Well, Natsuo and Tomura have each other’s phone numbers now, so we’re all doomed.”

Rumi-san groaned. Touya cackled and pointed to her. “You owe me so much money!”

Kendou came back into the room and spotted Tenya. “Can I have the fire after you?”

Tenya shrugged. “Yeah, sure.”

Fumikage crept back into the room as well and sat between Touya and Rumi-san. Rumi-san offered him popcorn and Touya genuinely smiled at him.

Katsuki sighed. “I’m going to go find Ojiro and Hitoshi, be back later.”

Kendou frowned. “Check the kitchen? None of us wanted to go in there.”

Katsuki headed into the kitchen.

Surprisingly, Natsuo and Tomura had not killed each other, and were in fact sharing earbuds and watching something on a phone. Katsuki couldn’t tell whose it was.

He sighed. “You seen Ojiro or Hitoshi?”

Both of them shook their heads, but neither looked up. Tomura then giggled, and Natsuo leaned his head into his hair.

Katsuki winced. “Okay then…”

He headed for the bedrooms, passing the living room on the way. Kendou now had the air freshener. Rumi-san had dumped an entire bowl of popcorn on Touya’s head, it seemed, because he was now wearing the bowl as a hat. Shouto was sitting on top of Tenya, who was doing pushups.

Fumikage met his eyes and exaggeratedly sighed.

Katsuki nodded in commiseration, and continued onwards.

He went into Rumi-san’s room and headed for the closet.

Honestly, the main reason this was so easy was because it would be his favorite hiding spot as well.

He opened the closet door and looked up, shoving aside a box.

Ojiro blinked at him.

Katsuki rolled his eyes. “You two won. Kendou has fire. Natsuo and Tomura might actually be a healthy relationship.”

Ojiro nodded. He looked to the side. “You can’t see it, but Hitoshi’s here. He fell asleep.”

Katsuki sighed. “Was he petting your tail floof?”

Ojiro sighed. “First Kaminari, now him. What’s up with that?”

Katsuki shrugged. “How is he still asleep?”

“I think it’s the lack of sleep.”

A huge crash sounded from the main area. Someone screamed.

Katsuki grimaced. “Mind if I stay here?”

Ojiro snorted. “Put that box on the floor and get up here.”

Hizashi-sensei sighed and scooped more eggs onto his plate. “So Fuyumi took her brothers?”

Katsuki nodded and smirked a bit. “She said they were all going to Natsuo’s and then she glared at Touya. It was really funny how he just sighed and agreed. And she also pulled Tomura into Mom’s bedroom and he came out terrified.”

Aizawa-sensei groaned. “You have another role model, don’t you."

Katsuki grinned. “I’m introducing her to Eri!”

Eri blinked. “Who’s Fuyumi?”

Hitoshi ruffled her hair. “Fuyumi is Shouto and Touya and Natsuo’s sister. She’s super cool.”

Eri’s eyes lit up. “Is she a hero?”

Fumikage tilted his hand. “She’s not a hero that fights with punches and stuff. She fights with words. It’s not the exact same, but she’s still a very good hero.”

Katsuki smirked. “She said she’s bail Mom and me out of jail!”

Hizashi-sensei sighed again. “And Kendou and Ojiro went back to the dorms?”

Hitoshi messed with his hair. “No, they both stayed to talk to Rumi-san about partnerships.”

Fumikage sighed. “We did take Tenya back to the dorms. Midoriya apparently broke All Might, whatever that means.”

Katsuki hid a snicker.

Aizawa-sensei ran a hand over his face. “It means that they’re now involved in this whole thing. I also met Oboro’s husband.”

Hizashi-sensei raised an eyebrow. “Really? What is he like?”

“A really good father, actually. He’s a bit odd but he’s good and getting Tomura and Touya to take care of themselves without them actually realizing he’s doing it. Bit of a mess himself, though.”

Fumikage nodded. “Also, Hawks is picking me up later, because he did show up to get me, but Mr. Compress dragged him off to apologize.”

Katsuki rolled his eyes. “He told us to call him Sako-san, remember?”

Hitoshi raised a hand. “I’m done eating, can I go become one with the cats?”

Aizawa-sensei waved a hand. “Go for it.”

Eri grinned at Katsuki. “I have two brothers and Mirio now!”

Katsuki smiled. “I would willingly live a long and happy life for you.”

Aizawa-sensei glared over at him. “Stop the self deprecating comments.”

Katsuki sighed. “Fine, dad.”

Aizawa-sensei stared into space for a moment.

Hizashi-sensei sighed. “I love our kids but why did we have so many?”

Aizawa-sensei turned to him. “Tokoyami’s not ours.”

“He’s my godson. At least you didn’t bring back your godson.”

Katsuki hummed. “Can I bring Eijirou next time?”

Hitoshi called from the living room, “Can we bring Kaminari?”

Eri smiled. “Can I come? And Mirio and Deku?”

Katsuki snorted. “I’d only do that for you. We’ve got such a big family now. What next, a nomu?”

Fumikage raised an eyebrow. “…I mean, you heard Shouto.”

Katsuki laughed. He was glad he had spotted that letter.

He loved his family. They loved him too.
