3rd person pov
It's a gloomy morning in the Todoroki Kingdom, its pouring rain outside and absolutely no sun in sight just multiple clouds lining the sky with mixes of gray and black. The youngest son to the Todoroki name currently sound asleep with the calming pitter-patter of the rain outside, but a couple of soft knocks on the door allows him to stir a bit and awaken. Slowly getting up Shoto stretches his arms above his head in a tried voice he replies "Come in".
"Prince Shoto the King has requested to speak with you," a voice says. Behind this voice, there was a man in glasses who has a lean figure wearing some simple clothes, cream-colored pants, brown boots which were followed by a white long-sleeved tunic that had a little bit of embroidery done along the edges made up of small flowers and leaves in a light silver color which had a bluish tint to it.
"Tenya, how many times must I tell you that just calling me Shoto is alright. We've known each other since we were babies, you're one of my best friends enough with all these formalities, also if you don't mind me asking what does my father want to speak to me about?" Shoto's voice spoke slightly croaky from just waking up but at the same time deep and smooth.
"Ah yes sorry about that, Shoto it has become a habit of mine from constantly having to address you as "Prince Shoto" or "Your Highness" around your father, please forgive me, and I do not know what your father wishes to speak to you about. All I do know is that he has some news to tell you but he did not enlighten me with any of this information." Tenya Replies,
"I understand if you don't mind can you please tell my father that I will speak to him after I freshen up and get dressed?" Shoto asked with a tiny smile on hoping to convince Iida with it a tad bit.
"Of Course," Tenya chuckles at the smile already knowing the princes' antics from knowing him for so long and exits the room with that. Shoto heads into his wardrobe and grabs some clothes which were elegant yet simple at the same time. He had grabbed some simple black pants with a white tunic and his signature vest that is blue and has golden embroidery patterns of soft swirls and lines on it. Heading into his bathroom he starts to fill his tub with water and adds some rose-scented oil into the water for a bit of freshness.
Once his shower is over Shoto quickly changes and heads to the throne room where his father spends most of his time. Just before entering the room Shoto brushes off nonexistent dust and smooths out some creases while taking a deep breath as he enters the room ''Yes Father you wished to speak with me?''
There he is, his father sitting in his throne wearing the finest clothes in all the land, he was wearing some fine and shimmering black boots which looked like they had been polished just second ago black pants crafted from the softest cotton from the best cotton farm in the kingdom, and red leather vest made from only the best material because 'Only the Best for the King'. He soon spoke, "Yes, Shoto as you know you will not be the heir to the Todoroki throne that will be going to Fuyumi, but what I wanted to speak to you about was a deal I made with the Barbarian King to benefit our kingdoms. I want you to marry him, King Katsuki Bakugou." Shoto was downright furious and socked, so he blew up spitting 100 words at his father.
"You want me to what!? Marry King Katsuki Bakugou?! The Barbarian King, the one who is "Oh so dangerous." The one you wanted to declare WAR too, but suddenly you want me to marry him? Did you even consider my feelings in this matter? I'm very much aware that I'm the youngest Todoroki, but I believed I would be able to choose who I marry not you just suddenly arranging my wedding with a man I want nothing to do with, someone who I believed was the enemy. Your such- such an Asshole. You do this to everyone just use them as your pawns, they mean nothing to you. You did the same thing to mother, you used her till he gave you the perfect child, but then you messed her up, even abused-" With a harsh slap Shoto was shut up, he stumbled back a bit too.
"Shut up, boy. Do not talk back to me, and don't speak about your mother in front of me. Remember I'm the king I can have you executed with the snap of my fingers, I would choose wisely of how you speak to me. More importantly, there was no way I was gonna allow you to choose who you marry, for all I know you will probably choose some commoner from our villages and marry them, so you thought wrong, boy. Enough said you will marry the Barbarian King, you have no say in this matter,'' Enji says.
"Yes, Father" Shoto grumbles knowing if he tries to argue any more he will soon be beaten and bruised up.
"Alright, you dismissed now boy," Says his father. Shoto walks away wondering what had come to his life and how he is supposed to go about marrying a barbarian let alone the king.
