Summary
There were not many times when Little Shane would be talkative. In fact, Ilya could count on one hand how many times Shane has initiated almost every conversation while he was in headspace. Other than the fact that he was very shy and private while Little, Shane often regressed more on the younger side and found speaking in full sentences to be challenging. Ilya had no problem working out what Little Shane was asking for or talking about when he actually could hold a conversation when Little- it was just how they worked. However, sometimes when Shane was on the verge of Big and Little, like he was today, he would get talkative and ramble to himself or anyone/anything that would listen.
Which is how Ilya found himself with a shadow this fine evening.

Summary
The weather in Canada was nice for once, the roads were piled in snow and nobody was huddled near the fireplace covered in blankets to shield themselves from the wind blowing into their home. It was warm and sunny, the sun just barely peeking out from the clouds above but still lighting up the entire sky. It was just past 11am in the small town and, although many people were outside enjoying the warm weather, most people were at the pool enjoying the summer time or some unfortunate ones were off at work.
All the community pools, parks, and trails were open around the city, so Ilya had made a plan for him and his husband once he began to notice Shane sitting in the corner of the living room almost every day, not even playing with anything or doing anything- just watching outside while bored out of his mind.
