“Stop laughing, the neighbors are gonna complain!” Hoseok whisper yelled as he pushed Jimin softly.
Soft giggles filled the corridor as Jimin covered his mouth with a hand, trying to stifle his laugh. The apartment complex was silent, not unusual for a Friday night in an area mostly inhabited by university students. The only sound was the muted tapping of the rain outside. It was more like a downpour, really, and it had caught them completely by surprise, so they were currently walking towards their apartment completely drenched and dripping all over the floor.
“There’s no one here hyung, it’s okay.” Jimin smiled, but he still tried to keep his voice down.
They had been on their way home from a day of clubbing with their friends when the downpour began. Neither of them was carrying an umbrella because it wasn’t supposed to rain until the next day, so they had had no other option but to get wet. Jimin had been mad at first, but Hoseok had laughed heartily and played under the rain with such a bright smile that Jimin had wondered how there were no rainbows around. And then he joined Hoseok under the rain and laughed with him.
Once they made it to the front door, Jimin patted his pockets trying to find the keys to their little home. His patting became more frantic as he struggled to find them, until Hoseok stopped him with a shake of his head. He pulled his own keys out and easily opened the door. He kept the door open for Jimin, who swayed inside before pulling Hoseok behind him and closing the door.
Jimin’s arms wrapped tightly around Hoseok’s middle, and his chin rested on his chest while Hoseok leaned against the door. Hoseok dropped the keys on the little bowl they kept for their keys and loose change, and then used his hand to softly pat down Jimin’s wet hair. Jimin giggled again and stood on his tippy toes to kiss Hoseok on the mouth, soft and slow. Hoseok’s lips were warm against Jimin’s cold ones, and it sent a shiver down his spine.
“You’re freezing, you should take a shower.” Hoseok said kindly, placing both hands on Jimin’s cheeks and caressing them softly with his thumbs.
“Shower with me…” Jimin asked with a little pout, looking up at Hoseok.
“Hm…” Hoseok pretended to consider. He was already sold on the idea, but he liked seeing Jimin’s pouting face.
“You’re also wet and you should take a shower before you get sick,” Jimin explained, slowly letting go of Hoseok. “Besides,” he put his arms down and gave him a sly smile, “I’ll warm up faster if you shower with me.”
Jimin turned around and sauntered off to the bathroom. Hoseok sucked in a deep breath before following suit, not wasting any time. When he walked into the bathroom, Jimin had already opened the faucet and was taking off his shirt. To be fair, both of them were too drunk to actually do anything, but that didn’t stop Hoseok from hanging at the door with his mouth open admiring Jimin like an idiot.
“A fly will get into your mouth if you keep it open like that,” Jimin chuckled, getting rid of his jeans and underwear in one go.
“Right,” Hoseok closed his mouth and swallowed.
He loved Jimin so much. It wasn’t easy to be with him, because they had to keep it secret from all except a few of their closest friends, but he loved Jimin so much he was willing to do all the sacrifices it took. He observed with adoration in his eyes as Jimin put a hand under the water and checked the temperature. Then Jimin turned to look at him and shook his head, smiling.
“Am I gonna have to do everything for you like a baby?” Jimin teased, walking up to him and helping him take off his shirt first and then his jeans and underwear. “Come on, big baby, I’m cold.”
Both of them walked into the shower, shivering as the warm water hit their cold bodies. Jimin chuckled as he brushed Hoseok’s hair back with both hands, careful to not pull it. Hoseok let him, a silly smile on his face as he observed Jimin’s focused expression. Once Jimin decided he was satisfied with his work, he pulled Hoseok’s face down to kiss his forehead.
“What a sexy forehead,” he said, prompting them both to break down in laughter.
“Let’s actually shower, we’re just wasting water.” Hoseok said as he grabbed the bottle of shampoo.
He poured a generous amount of Jimin’s hands and then on his, and they stepped away from the water. Jimin immediately went for Hoseok’s hair instead of his, and began rubbing his hands firmly against his head, massaging his scalp. Hoseok chuckled and opted to do the same, although it eventually became clear that it wasn’t a very convenient way of washing their hair and they opted to just shampoo their own heads instead.
Afterwards, Hoseok helped Jimin rinse his hair before rinsing his own, letting out a relaxed sigh. Jimin thanked him with a little peck to the lips. They weren’t even done with the shower yet, but they already felt warm and overall better. Next they helped scrub each other’s backs before rinsing it off. Jimin shut off the faucet while Hoseok grabbed the towels. They both dried off before heading to the bedroom.
Hoseok grabbed the hair dryer on his way and motioned Jimin to sit on the bed in front of him. Jimin complied happily and hummed softly as Hoseok dried his hair. As soon as he was done, Jimin prompted him to turn around and got on his knees in order to properly reach Hoseok’s hair. He dried it promptly before putting the hair dryer away and burying his face in Hoseok’s fluffy hair. It was warm and smelled deliciously of coconut.
“Are you done? I would like to cuddle my boyfriend to sleep.” Hoseok said after a little while, eliciting a chuckle from Jimin.
Jimin nodded and left to the bathroom to put the hair dryer back in its place and then ran back to the bedroom, jumping onto the bed next to Hoseok. He immediately wrapped his arms around Jimin and tickled him slightly, causing him to squirm and laugh before letting him go. Jimin laid his head next to Hoseok’s, looking him in the eyes and smiling widely.
“I love you so much.” Jimin said, whispering it like it was a secret he didn’t want anyone to know.
“I love you too, so much.” Hoseok whispered back, smiling giddily at their little secret.
“Thank you for being my sunshine,” Jimin smiled, kissing him softly.
“Thank you for being by my side.” Hoseok replied, kissing him back.
