Work Text:

The soft hum of music coming from the kitchen echoed throughout the hallways and just barely touched the pairs of ears that belonged to the three men laying atop a single bed together, curled up with one another, their limbs all tangled into a jumbled mess, embracing one another lovingly.

Aesop, the manor's embalmer, was running his hands through the soft hair on the head of painter Edgar, whom of which had his eyes closed as he happily soaked up the warmth the other two radiated, melting into Aesop's delicate touch. The postman, Victor, lay on the other side of Edgar, and the two had their hands intertwined as Edgar's leg wrapped around his body. Victor's other free had found enough space to wiggle around enough to be able to caress Edgar's cheek, as soft and loving as possible.

Aesop seemed to know the tune bouncing off the manor's wall, as he hummed it to himself softly, gracing the ears of both boys of whom he lay with. Edgar seemed much more relaxed than usual, which the other two noted, and an almost-smile begun to peak out at Victor as the postman silently rejoiced, beaming brightly. It was so lovely to see Edgar happy, Aesop so calm, and he didn't even have to speak to make it happen. Victor could lay in this bed with the two of them for days, perhaps even weeks. Curse the human body's unfortunate requirement for food and water, if possible this bed would be where he would lay until he died, as long as the other two wished to stay with him.

Aesop looked over to Victor, peeking at him over the head of the man in between them. Aesop signaled for Victor to come closer, and so he did, and the embalmer pulled the blond in to press a kiss onto his lips. Victor smiled against Aesop's mouth and they deepened the kiss, and it was sweet and loving and reminded Victor of honey. They were squishing Edgar in between their bodies as they kissed above his head, making the painter quite a bit envious, desiring attention for himself. After a few moments of sitting in silence as his two lover's sucked on one another's faces, he decided to tug on Victor's sleeve, startling the postman a bit as he pulled away from Aesop curiously, a question in his eyes.

"Don't be an attention hog..." Aesop mumbled, but he leaned down and kissed the back of Edgar's head anyways. This sentence made Victor's face light up in realization, and he happily leaned down to pepper Edgar's face in kisses as well, and as Victor's lips connected with his skin, Edgar looked quite satisfied almost immediately.

Aesop pulled away from the painter's hair and watched as the two other men kissed, and he found joy in seeing the both of them so happy, although Edgar likely would never say how much he enjoyed these moments out loud. Oh, those two were so dear to him, so dear to him it made his chest ache with longing, even though they were laying right there with him. It made no sense, these feelings, and yet he was feeling them. How ridiculous was the human brain.

Aesop loved them both more than words could express.
