Summary
Wei Wuxian smiled when the front door slid open, announcing Lan Wangji's return, and he looked up from his work to find his husband closing the door while balancing a tray of food in his hands.
He would have to remember to show Lan Wangji his newest project, he thought distractedly as he haphazardly stacked his notes on the side to study later, their organisation only making sense to him. Lan Wangji never seemed to mind his organised chaos. Wei Wuxian suspected that to his husband, his chaos was one of the many signs that Wei Wuxian was happy in their home. And he was.
Hearing only a soft ‘hm’ in answer, Wei Wuxian paused. His eyes returned to his husband, sharper this time, studying him silently, attentively, before his cheerful expression gave way to gentle understanding.
“Ah. I see. Come here, sweetheart,” he said gently as he stood up.
An evening at the Jingshi, wherein Wei Wuxian takes care of his husband after a long day. Of course, Lan Wangji takes care of him too.
