12:00 am Oct. 4

Izuku woke up at midnight before feeling relief and stress raise off his shoulders for a reason unknown to even him, then got comfortable and fell back into his slumber.

Maybe it was because his mind was preparing him for future events. But he wouldn’t even know that until it happened.

It was just supposed to be a class outing without any danger or heroic related things. A simple trip with the class as Aizawa led them to Hosu.

No one would dare attack the city after the incident with Stain and the Noumu’s. It was a hotspot for heroes and after the attack, the city stored up and added more defenses and more heroes had been patrolling more lately.

Which was why it was a surprise when a buildings second floor suddenly blew up, the structure starting to tip over and fall.

Hawks was already near so he had used the same technique Endeavor and he had used when a high class noumu attacked his city. Everyone was safely out of the structure, or at least, the falling structure. The hero students immediately got into formation and ran into the fray to help, quickly getting people out of the falling buildings path before they could get squashed.

Izuku was almost done as he zipped around with cracks of green lightning streaks, but stopped and turned around when he heard the sound of a cry. His eyes landed on honey brown ones the same time they caught his movement. He didn’t hesitate as he bolted to the child, seeing the building get closer.

It was so close.

Izuku sped up and reached the little boy who was crying, the pieces of glass stuck in his leg looked bad. The teen hurried and picked up the little boy and bolted back to the clearing, the buildings shadow covering them completely.

He had to make it.

Go faster.

Go faster.

Izuku almost felt relief as he saw some of his classmates. They didn’t notice him yet, probably because of the building overcasting them.

A chunk of debris landed in front of the two and Izuku gritted his teeth as he hopped over it, taking up too much time as the building kept getting closer.

Izuku was about to run again when he felt something his his head, he grunted in pain as his vision sweltered, making panic overload his senses.

“URARAKA!” Said teen turned around with a confused face, as did the rest of the students, until their faces morphed into horror as they saw him make a mad dash.

“TAKE HIM!” Izuku, with a little push of his quirk, sent the little boy flying like a bullet towards the girl. Uraraka acted quick and used her quirk on herself, catching the boy and then using it on him as they floated through the air.

“Release!” They landed safely on the ground and Izuku felt the relief rush out. The students however were shouting with panic as they talked out to him in desperation.

“MIDORIYA!”

[ “MIDORIYA!” He turned his face and saw blurry figures come out of the building—“ ]

Oh yeah. The building.

Izuku turned and used as much strength as he could as he punched up, softening the impact of the debris. Izuku gulped through the dusty air and curled up on himself, trying to strengthen his defense as he powered One for All to shroud his body.

Pain.

It was so painful.

There was a shrill sound and he thought maybe it was his friends shouting to him before he realized it was himself as his throat went raw.

He wouldn’t be able to hear his friends anyways. He was buried too far in.

He tried to move but let out a strangled gasp as he felt pain shoot up his ankle.

Ok, don’t move too much. He could do that.

He’ll get out of this, the others just needed time.

Yeah. Just wait.

He can do that.

Izuku let out a muffled cry as he felt something in his leg break as the debris shifted. He bit his lip as he tried to outstretch a hand and power One for All to move it, but as soon as he added the smallest amount of pressure, he was flat on his stomach as a huge chunk of concrete sat on his back, leaving him breathless.

He needed to breathe. He needed air.

Izuku cried silently as he used some of his quirk to push the slab out debris off his back. When it was off he quickly turned around, ignoring the crunch in his foot and his own scream as his foot stayed in place while his whole body turned over. He put his hands above him just in time to stop another piece of concrete coming at him. It wasn’t as big as the other one, but it was heavy.

He just needed to wait. That was all.

But why was it so hard .

He heaved as the tears seamlessly slid down his face.

The others will find him.

They will find him.

Izuku jolted himself awake the second he felt himself start to give out, making sure he held up the weight above him securely.

How long has it been? He didn’t know.

He swallowed his spit as he felt his mouth water.

He was hungry, and thirsty.

Dust went into his nose and he sneezed, wincing as he felt the crack of one of his ribs.

It’ll be okay.

He was not okay.

He was growing lightheaded again and it was only when he used one hand to touch the back of his head did he realize that his head was bleeding.

Probably from when he was trying to get out under the building.

He put his hand back and held the concrete again, but not before it had shifted and something fell next to his head.

Izuku turned his head and saw green in the darkness.

His heart thrummed in his chest as he stared at the clock.

Hadn’t he seen that clock before?

And, why was it still on. There was nothing to plug it into.

Suspicious grew in his mind but he didn’t have enough time to think of anything since there was something moving on top of him.

He snapped his head back into the direction of the noise and strained his ears.

“…un…” he furrowed his eyebrows as he held his breath, listening to the sound of rubble getting moved and…was the weight getting lighter?

Hope blossomed in his stomach as he licked his lips and swallowed to get his voice back.

“Hello?!” There was a pause and he almost thought the person had left him until he heard things moving around faster. The weight he was holding was getting considerably lighter too.

“Deku-kun! Guys I think I found him!” More shuffling was heard and Izuku smiled as he rested his head, inhaling slightly.

The clock caught his gaze again, and for some reason Izuku felt panic as the clock slowly started to go up.

Two minutes until eleven.

Has he really been there that long?

He swallowed as he felt anxiousness raise from the tips of his toes and to the top of his head.

He needed more time. They needed more time.

He didn’t know why, but the clock made him uneasy and whatever it was, it wasn’t good.

The clock changed and the minute before sixty had never seemed so threatening before. Izuku pushes the debris he had on his chest to the side and caught another one before going in a pattern. He put them to the side to where no more space had been left. His body shook as he glanced at the clock.

C’mon c‘mon c’mon—

“Deku-kun!” Izuku felt relief as light poured into his little hole, smiling when he saw Uraraka’s face peek through a small crack.

They found him.

He could go home.

Not yet . A voice whispered in his ear.

Izuku pushed the boulder crushing his left foot with as much force as possible with the other foot, getting it out with the reward of a stinging ankle that bones poked out of.

“Take my hand Deku-kun!” Izuku felt a smile form on his lips as he desperately reached for the brunettes hands. Suddenly there was a tick and the greenette whipped his head around to see the clock reach the dreaded number.

He turned back around and tried reaching for her hand but right as he was right there, blackness took over his vision and he couldn’t even let out the desperate shout of no before he went under.
