Oboro smiled brightly and knocked on his door quickly. Shoutas house was surprisingly festive for the holiday. Fake spiders and orange and black tinsel taped to the door. Pumpkins carved with scary faces sat by the door, lit with bright candles. Fake cobwebs were also hanging from the walls, almost covering the whole front of his house. Shouta really went all out for Halloween- then again he wasn’t sure if he usually did. This was his first time trick or treating in a couple years, and his first time even seeing Shouta on Halloween.
He bounced up and down in excitement, clapping his hands happily. He was thrilled. For the past week he had dreams about this night. He had spent his spare time getting together his costume and perfecting his face painting skills for this one night. After all, he had to impress Aizawa. He had to make this night perfect. He was actually surprised Aizawa agreed to hang out with him... oh, and Hizashi. The thing was, Hizashi knew all about his massive little crush on Shouta, yet he was so determined to tag along. Sighing he looked the blonde teen up and down, exmaining his costume- starting to feel a little embrassed of his own.
Hizashi was dressed as a zombie- and he looked pretty awesome. Short, blonde hair teased and fluffed up. Green and purple face paint made up fake bruises on his face; black eye shadow to make his eyes look sunken in and deeper, dry blood stained on his face. He even had white contacts in! Not to mention his bloodied and torn up clothes that hung off his body loosely. Hizashi made him look bad. Suddenly feeling self conscious of him and his costume choice, he looked towards the door that slowly creaked open.
Oboros jaw almost dropped to the door when he saw what his crush was wearing, and how adorable he looked in it. In all honesty, he didn’t expect Shouta to dress up at all, or if he did put not effort into it what-so-ever. But it was more than pleasant to see him in such a cute costume. Fake kitten ears fastened in his jet black hair; kitty paws painted with face paint under his eyes, only small; a small amount of blush on the tip of his nose and the tip of his lip; a pink kitten collar around his neck with a love heart at the front; a shirt of a kawii kitten on it, and plain black trousers; even a black tail on the back! If oboro wasn’t so shocked, he would be drooling over the sight.
Aizawa gulped and leaned agaisnt his door frame slightly, glancing at the two guests, however his eyes always gravitated towards Oboro. His costume was so amazing, feeling humiliated by what he was wearing. He wished he had just not bothered and worn his normal clothes, but he didn’t want to ruin the fun for everyone else. Oboro was dressed in a skeleton costume. He face paint on his face looked perfect and so good, convinced someone had done it for him. The costume fit him perfectly and gave a real affect he was a skeleton, which freaked him out a little bit. God he was so perfect. Clearing his throat, he looked away.
”you both look really good.” He said quietly, staring down at his feet as he nibbled on his bottom lip, displaying the tiny fangs in his mouth. Oboro smiled brightly and clapped his hands again, resisting the urge to bounce and jump around.
”you went all out for it this year Shou! Your house looks amazing! Did you decorate it?” He asked, poking the cobwebs just to see what they felt like- pure cotton that had been stretched. Aizawa nodded slightly and glanced around to make sure everything was where he places it.
”yeah... my parents didn’t really want to bother this year, but I figured I might as well put in some effort.” He said, glancing around nervously, “they aren’t that good. Just some decorations I found in the dollar store.” He explained, shrugging off his praise.
Oboro chuckled and nodded “okay whatever. They look great. Now grab your bag and let’s go! I’m hungry for candy!” He exclaimed, swaying back and forth happily as he gripped his candy bag. Aizawa nodded and grabbed it off the table and walked out, closing the door behind him.
”so, where to first?” Hizashi asked, walking with the love birds. Oboro looked over and blinked- he forgot Hizashi was there. He was so focused on making Aizawa happy and impressing him, he blocked out the whole world around him. Shrugging, he kept sneaking sly glances towards Aizawa, finding everything attractive about the man. The way he looked around with an innocent face, the way he walked, the way his hair swayed when he walked. Perfect.
”fine I guess I’ll choose.” Hizashi pouted, “I say we start at the houses near the park and work our way back to Shoutas house.” He suggested, the other two males nodding in agreement. The blonde smiled brightly and clapped his hands, running a head- leaving the two love birds alone.
Oboro gulped and looked over to him, clearing his throat, “so, have you ever been trick or treating before?” He asked, gripping ahold of his bag tightly to try and calm down his nerves. His heart was pounding against his chest. Do not mess this up. Do not embarrass yourself. Shouta just shrugged simply and the older male thought that was the end of the conversation. Maybe he didn’t want to talk.... he probably wasn’t even interested-
“I think my parents took me once when I was like 6, but I hated it. Too many people and crowds. I haven’t gone since. Of course we still hand out candy at the door, but it’s really only my parents that do it. I just stay in my room and play video games.” He explained. Oboro sighed silently in relief. Aizawa did Wanna talk to him. That’s a good start. The older teen nodded quickly and smiled.
”I stopped doing it when I was about 11? My parents kept saying I was too old- which always ended in an argument. But now here we are! All trick or treating together!” He smiled brightly. Something inside him tinged slightly. Obviously he didn’t want Hizashi to left out or get jealous. He would never want that. But that being said, he wished this night was more or a date between him and Shouta.
Aizawa gave a slight nod and glanced around “hizashi ran off.” He sighed, pointing to their friend waving them over in the distance, “I don’t see what’s so exciting about this.” He shrugged, speeding up his pace. Oboro chuckled and copied his pace, nudging him slightly- maybe even flirtatiously.
“What do you mean?!” He laughed, “you get free candy and get to dress up in awesome costumes!” He smiled. Aizawa looked over and admired his smile. Lips stretched from ear to ear, eyes closed tightly as his nose scrunched up. The younger coughed slightly and looked away, a slight blush growing on his cheeks. Thankfully, it was hidden by the amount of blusher he had on already on his face. Oboro smiled and nudged him gently, “hey, if you get any bounties give them to me.” He whispered. Aizawas eyes widened before screwing up in disgust. Playfully pushing oboro away, he looked him up and down.
”Ew, you like bounties?” He laughed softly. Shira just nodded and chuckled, smiling as he continued to walk. Oboro was about to answer back, argue for his bounty loving rights, but Hizashi soon ran over and grabbed their arms.
”come on slow pokes! You’re walking so slowwwww, even a snail could beat you guys.” He groaned, tugging his friends towards the first house. Aizawa just rolled his eyes and Oboro gave his signature smile and chuckled. Of course Hizashi had to ruin the moment. Things were just getting good for the both of them.
All three of the boys stood outside the door, glancing between each other, daring someone to knock. Hizashi soon grew tired of the silly games, reaching over and knocking on the door loudly. Everyone shifted around and gripped their candy bags tightly.
soon the door swung open to reveal what they assumed was a married couple, holding out a bowl of candy towards them. Aizawa only took one, not really caring which one he took. Oboro scurried around in the bowl looking for what he deemed the best one, picking it out and slipping it into his bag. Hizashi on the other hand dug his hand in and pulled out around five, tossing them into his bag before walking off.
”Hizashi! You were only meant to take one!” Aizawa hissed quietly and chased after the blonde. He just shrugged and continued walking, looking around. Oboro jogged to catch up to his friends quick escape, walking besides Aizawa.
”they never said that.” Hizashi shrugged, walking towards the neck house. Aizawa groaned and shook his head, rubbing his forehead gently to prevent a migraine coming on. Most people only wanted kids to take one piece of candy. It was just an unwritten rule of trick or treating. Only take one piece unless someone tells you to help yourself. You know, it was the polite thing to do. However Hizashi didn't seem to care, only wanting the candy for himself. Shouta actually felt bad for all the little children they're stealing candy from. Those poor little kids who knocked on those doors, only to find out all the candy was gone.
"Shouta? you okay? You seem stressed?" Oboro whispered, glancing over to the blonde, once agian, ahead of them. Aizawa realised had spaced out, and began chewing on his bottom lip, the skin beginning to bleed slightly. Aizawa snapped his head up to look at him, licking away the blood quickly.
"Yeah, just spaced out..." He said quietly, slowly taking in his surroundings again. They hadn't walked that far since the last house, however everything still felt so foreign. Aizawa didn't usually venture far from his house- even the school was only around 10 minutes away- so he wasn't familiar to any of these streets or houses. Oboro nodded and gently rubbed his back, causing the younger male to tense up and look to him.
"If you're upset you can go home." Oboro said, rubbing gentle circles on the boys back to try and help him to relax, however it just made his skin rise with Goosebumps and shiver more under the gentle pressure. Aizawa quickly shook his head, was he really bringing down the mood that much?
"no. It's not that. I just feel like I'm a bit too old to be doing this..." He shrugged slightly, looking around at the couple of young children walking past them, holding hands with their just as excited parents. Oboro laughed softly and patted his back.
"No one is too old for free candy!" he smiled brightly, bouncing up and down happily as he looked around, following Hizashi up to a door, "but seriously shou, we're fine. No one cares. We're kids! We're not hurting anyone." He said quietly. Aizawa nodding slightly and smiled softly, he guess thats true. It's not like they were egging peoples houses and causing havic on the streets. They were just trick or treating.
The three of them made it to the next door and knocked happily. Not long after it swung open as candy was tossed into their bag, before being waved off. The teens continued this cycle for a while, their bags getting full and their costumes getting sweaty. As they made their way towards another house, Hizashis phone ring loudly. He apologise quickly and answered the phone, gulping. His eyes widened as he nodded and hung up, turning to look at his friends.
”Sorry to break up our meeting, but my mum called and she needs me home like, right now.” He chuckled nervously, rubbing the back of his neck. Oboros eyes widened slightly as he nodded... it’ll be just him and Shouta now... his eyes flickered to Aizawa, who seemed to be in a deep thought. He cleared his throat and looked back to the blonde.
”that’s okay dude! At least you got some candy!” Oboro smiled, patting his shoulder gently. Hizashi nodded as he waved goodbye to Shouta, before running off in the direction of his house. Now. The two awkward teens alone. Fidgeting slightly, he swayed back and forth slightly, trying to think of something to say.
”so, should we continue or?” A small voice chirped up, breaking the deafening silence between them. Oboro shrugged, glancing down at their bags of goods. They had collected quite a large amount.
”I think we have all we need.” He shrugged, before realising. If they had finished Shouta will go home, and oboro won’t have any private time with him. Think fast! “Maybe we could do to the park and walk around?” He suggested the first thought that came to his mind. Aizawa furrowed his eyebrows and slipped out his phone, glancing at the time. The night was still young, and his parents didn’t tell him what time to be home.
”sure. Why not?” He agreed, clutching the bag of candies to his chest as he looked around, “lead the way. I don’t know the way from here.” He admitted, liking around at all the unfamiliar landmarks. Also, all the Halloween decorations were messing with his sense of direction.
Oboro nodded and started walking, a slight skip in his step at first. He reminded himself to stay calm. To not embarrass himself in front of his crush. Finally they had time to themselves to talk and get along, he didn’t need to ruin it. Aizawa followed besides him, taking in his surroundings with confusion or great interest.
”so, how much candy do you think you have?” Oboro asked, not sure what else to ask. Aizawa shrugged and opened his bag to look inside, his black eyes skimming over the wrappers of sugar.
”enough to give me a heart attack. Possibly 2 or 3.” He said, closing the bag again. Oboro stifled out a laugh and nodded, smiling softly.
”the perfect amount.” He gave him the thumbs up. Aizawa rose an eyebrow and crossed his arms, looking him up and down. Oboro gulped, had he messed up already? Why was Shouta looking at him like that.
”Are you saying you want me to have multiple heart attacks?” He teased, gently nudging his shoulder against the olders teen. Shirakumos eyes widened slightly as he shook his head quickly, waving his arms around furiously.
“No! Of course I didn’t!” He gulped, eyes wide. Did he just ruin the moment? Ruin things? Panicking, he heard Aizawa burst into a laughter- which was extremely unlike him. Shirakumo gulped and blinked, staring at his crush with wide eyes. Why was he laughing? Shouldn’t be be upset, offended? He had every right to be-
“Shira, I'm messing around with you.” He chuckled softly, gently rubbing his shoulder. Oboro gulped and nodded slightly, taking a deep breath as he tries to calm himself. He was getting to worked up and nervous. Embarrassing himself hy overreacting. Deep breathes. He continued to lead the way towards the park. They continued the walk in silence, occasionally coughing it sniffling. The night was still young, yet bitter winds had started to arise.
Once they got to the park, oboro walked in first. The gate creaked loudly and echoed around the night. Shivers ran down his spine as he held the metal gate for Shouta, closing it once he was inside. He glanced around in the darkness, looking for something to do. He smiled and started running towards a pair of swings, “I call dibs on the left swing!” He called out. Aizawa gasped and ran after him, smiling softly as he shook his head. Oboro almost froze up, the younger boys laugh a blessing to his ears. He smiled and leaped onto the swing, gripping onto the chains, “I got here first!”
Aizawa chuckeld and shook his head “dammit.” He slowly sat down on the swing besides him, placing his bag of candy by his feet. Aizawa let out a soft breathe, the air in front of him steaming up slightly. Rubbing his hands together, he looked around, before his eyes settled on the blinking stars.
Oboro glances over to him, smiling faintly. He slowly got up and moved to stand Aizawa, gripping the chains on his swing. Before Shouta could question it, Oboro pulled it back, before pushing him forward.
”OBORO!” Shouta squeaked, gripping onto the chains tightly as he swung forward. Oboro just laughed and continued pushing him higher and higher, until he couldn't go any higher. Aizawa was clinging onto the swing, kicking his legs out to try and slow down the swing.
”Come on! You’re not gonna get hurt-“ he smiled, watching as Shou swung back and forth, blowing the dark black hair all over the place. Shouta huffed and decided to jump off the swing to stop the horrible terrors. He leaped off the platform, falling towards. Maybe this wasn’t the best idea since he was about to land face first in the mud. About was the right word, since Oboro ran over and caught him, his arms wrapping under the youngers and pulling him safely to his chest. He stumbled back slightly at the new weight, before steading himself and Shouta.
Aizawa blushed and peeked up at him, confused on what happened so fast, all he new was he jumped off and now he was in Oboros arms. If felt comforting, his big arms wrapped around his smaller body, his body warmth covering Shouta like a blanket determined to keep him warm. Shouta could make out a faint blush on the others cheeks as he looked down.
”caught ya-“ he chuckled nervously, closing his eyes as he smiled goofily. Aizawa muttered a quiet thank you and nodded, hiding his face somewhere in his chest. Shirakumo laughed softly and run fingers through his hair, the swing still creaking behind them. “That was a big jump. If I hadn’t of caught you you probably would’ve ended up covered in mud.” He hummed, “just tell me when you’re doing it so I can step in to be your hero.”
Aizawa blushed more and nodded, “yeah whatever.” He muttered, closing his eyes as he took deep breathed to try and calm himself down. Oboro gently rubbed his shoulders and looked around in the night sky. Somehow he didn’t care about the bitter winds anymore, all he care about was keeping Shou warm and safe.
”Hey, Shou look-“ he gently patted his shoulder, “the stars are shining bright.” He whispered softly. Aizawa looked up, smiling faintly as he stared up at blinking, bright circles in the dark obis. His soft lips parted slightly as his eyes locked onto them, breathing softly. Shirakumo gulped and stared at him, his eyes flickering towards his lips. Oh how much he wanted to just kiss him. Feel his lips against his.
Shouta rose an eyebrow slightly, looking back to his friend, wondering why he was staring. Oboro gulped and snapped his eyes to meet the youngers gaze, chuckling nervously. The two stared at each other for a while, their breath mingling together, hot air brushing against their skin. The tension building up, their fingers gripped onto each other, shifting nervously.
Suddenly, they both smashed their lips together, eyes closing tightly and lips making in sync with each other. Muffled noises pushed against each other as they pulled each other closer. Desperate to feel him more, oboro grabbed the back of his head, pulling Shou closer and deeper into the kiss.
Unfortunately, the lack of air started to dawn on them, as they slowly pulled away, panting heavily as their eyes fluttered open. Shouta was bright red, a slight bit of drool on the corner of his mouth, his breaths shaggy and sharp. Shirakumo chuckled nervously, running his fingers through the hairs on the base of Aizawas neck.
”so... wanna date?” Oboro asked nervously.
Aizawa bksuhed and gently punched his chest “of course I do! Otherwise I wouldn’t have kissed you!” He blushed, hiding his face in his hands as he listened to Oboro laughing.
