Something As Simple As

Summary:

One day, as Minori attempts to buy a special edition box set, she encounters someone new, and their relationship soon grows from there.

Notes:

Hello! I bring you another Sekai fic, but this time, it’s a rare pair. Tsukasa and Minori as a pair wasn’t really something I expected, but I welcome it with open arms. They’re cute together, not going to lie (I ship it really badly already)

Big big big shoutout to Soph (sopheeaboo on Twitter and AO3) for coming up with the idea of this pairing (without your efforts, this would have never happened).

Anyways, apologies if anyone here is OOC. Let me know what you think, and enjoy! :D

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

“I’m almost there! I’m almost there!”

Minori ran out of the train station and quickly jogged towards the music shop. Today was the day that a very special CD/DVD box set was set to release, and Minori wanted to be one of the first people to get her hands on it. One of her favorite idols had participated in a special stage drama for a well-known anime series, “Elegant Tempo”, and the staff were kind enough to release a special box set with the entire production recorded and the music and soundtrack burned onto a CD. Minori loved watching Elegant Tempo as a child, and she had missed out on seeing the show live, so this was a win-win. She had just gotten out of school and was making her way towards the shopping district, hoping that there were still copies of the box set left.

Walking into the music shop, she quickly took a look around, making her way to the back, as that’s where they usually kept the DVDs and other related items. With a picture of the box art on her phone, Minori began to scan her surroundings as she looked around for the case. After about five minutes of searching, she still hadn’t found what she was looking for. She sighed, but she wasn’t giving up hope just yet. Looking up and down the shelves, she only saw basic anime OSTs and character song collections. She sighed once more, about to give up, when she saw something out of the corner of her eye.

It was a sign, of some sort. The object sparkled a bit before Minori quickly snapped her head to see what it was.

There it was. The sacred Elegant Tempo Live Stage Production CD/DVD box set.

It also happened to be the last copy the music shop had in stock.

Doing a small victory dance to herself - she was trying her hardest not to draw any attention - Minori quickly walked over to the case and was about to grab it off the shelf and take it. However, right as she was going to pick it up, she noticed another hand reach for the case and grab it as well. She quickly looked to see who it was.

It was a boy. He was around her age, if not about a year older than her. He had blond hair, a bit of an ombré at the end of it, and he was dressed in a school uniform that was different from hers. He had a somewhat surprised expression as well, not expecting someone else to be reaching for the same set as he was.

Blinking a couple of times, Minori now realized that she was staring at him. Both parties pulled back at the same time, simultaneously saying “Sorry!”. Both were a bit uneasy, as things now grew very awkward very fast. Both tried to break the silence, but instead they kept speaking at the same time:

“Um…”

“Excuse me-“

“You can go first!”

Sighing a bit, Minori saw that this probably wasn’t going anywhere. However, the boy decided to take things into his own hands.

“Were you going to buy that?”

Minori looked back up. He wasn’t looking at her, instead choosing to look off to the side, scratching the back of his head. His uneasiness was noticeable from miles away. Was it embarrassment? Minori couldn’t say for sure.

“Um…I mean I was…” Minori nervously chuckled a bit before continuing. “But, if you really want it, then you can have it. I can always order it online later”. She gave him a smile.

The boy jerked back a bit, surprised by her response, before clearing his throat and responding: “N-no, it’s okay… If you really want it, take it.”

Minori tilted her head, slightly confused. Did he not want it, in that case? That was somewhat odd.

“Are you sure? Because if you really want it, I have no problem.”

The boy groaned a bit before giving her a reply. “It’s fine, really. I’m not exactly the biggest fan of the series anyways…”

Minori gasped a bit at this. “Are you not a fan of Elegant Tempo?”

He gave her a dry laugh before answering: “Not exactly… My younger sister used to watch it all the time when we were younger so I saw small parts of it occasionally. I was more interested in the stage performance, to be completely honest…”

“Huh.” Minori carried a blank expression before she smiled at him. “You must really like stage performances, in that case.”

The boy gave her a blank expression before quickly changing it to a confident smile. “Of course!” He laughed a hearty laugh, causing Minori to tilt her head a bit. Where had this personality change come from?

He continued on anyways: “I’ve always loved seeing shows with my sister when I was younger, so it’s only natural that I carried that love once I got a bit older.” He gave her a small pose and snapped his fingers before he continued on.

“It’s been a dream of mine to become the world’s biggest star , so any opportunity I have to study will greatly benefit that.” He scoffed a bit before giving her a smile.

Minori couldn’t help but stare for a bit. Now realizing that she wasn’t saying anything, the boy’s expression turned from one of confidence to one of worry, now concerned that he had made the wrong first impression.

Boy, was he wrong.

Minori soon smiled widely and moved closer to him, causing the boy to move back a bit in shock. “That’s a great dream!” She excitedly half-shouted. She giggled a bit before continuing.

“I have a dream like that, you know?” She held her hands on her chest and took a deep breath, seemingly waiting for the boy to ask her what it was.

“Oh, really?” The boy put a hand on his chin. “What would that be?”

“That would be…” Minori looked up to the ceiling before continuing. “I would love to be an idol like Haruka-chan!”

“Haruka-chan?” The boy tilted his head.

“Yeah! She’s from my favorite idol group, ASRUN! To be honest…” Minori’s expression changed into one that was a bit more somber. “I’ve never had the best luck…”

“What?” The boy gasped a bit. Was she about to spill part of her personal life to someone she had just met that day?

Yes. Yes, she was.

“Yeah… I used to get chased by crows when I was little, and it always rained whenever I went on trips. Sometimes my favorite clothes would get ruined by the mud, too…” She sighed before changing her expression to one that was more lively and cheerful.

“That’s when I found Haruka-chan. Her words inspired me to keep on moving forward.” Minori once again placed her hands on her chest.

“‘Even if today didn’t turn out well, tomorrow surely will! So believe that everything will be A-OK and strive for a better tomorrow!’ Those words really touched me, you know?” She gave him a nervous giggle before she went on. “I want to give that same feeling of hope to someone else out there.”

“Wow…” The boy was almost dumbfounded after hearing all of that. She was that determined, huh?

He cleared his throat a bit before continuing. “Is that why you wanted the case? To become a better idol?”

Minori jumped a bit at his question before she nervously chuckled and scratched the back of her head. “Well, not exactly… I watched Elegant Tempo as a kid, and one of my favorite idols was a lead in the stage production. I didn’t have a chance to catch it live, so I wanted to get the DVD and CD…”

“I see…” The boy scratched his head once more. This proved to be complicated. Once she saw that the boy was deep in thought, Minori decided to do a bit of thinking for herself. Concentrating hard, she felt as if she had come up with a solid solution.

“That’s it!” She shouted, almost bringing unwanted attention to herself. The boy jerked back a bit at her sudden outburst, but he was now curious as to what she was thinking about.

“Since we both have our own reasons for wanting it, how about we just share it?”

“Huh?!” The boy blinked a couple of times before his jaw went wide.

Is she crazy?! ” He thought to himself. The girl, who he had just met today, was willing to share something with a complete stranger ?!

“We can just split the cost and take turns using it. One week, I can have it, and the next week, you can have it. How does that sound?”

The boy sighed a bit before putting his hand on his head. “You’re not gonna back down, are you?”

Minori nervously giggled at his question before he sighed once again, now smiling. “Okay, it’s a deal.”

They walked up to the counter and paid for the box set. They had decided that Minori would be the one to hold onto it first, since she was “the most excited” - the boy had also insisted that it was good manners for the lady to go first, even though Minori didn’t mind.

Now out of the shop, Minori stared at the bag in her hands, smiling widely as thoughts of watching it swarmed her head. The boy was still a bit skeptical of her plan, but she seemed to be having fun.

Right as she was about to say goodbye and walk off, Minori had remembered one very important thing: she had never asked him for his name.

“Ah, before I forget!” Minori turned her head to face him. “I never got your name or number.”

The boy, once he heard this, kicked himself in the back of head for not introducing himself sooner - she hadn’t done so either, but that apparently wasn’t as bad. He soon turned back into his confident persona and striked a quick pose before he went on. “With my family name, Tenma, evoking the feeling of a pegasus soaring across the heavens and my given name, Tsukasa, leaving me responding for leading the world…” He strikes another pose before finishing. “I am Tenma Tsukasa!”

Minori looked dumbfounded for a bit, but soon giggled before continuing on. “That’s a nice name!”

Tsukasa couldn’t help but blush a bit hearing this. He soon cleared his throat and regained composure. “What’s your name, then?”

Minori twirled a bit before she answered. “I’m Hanasato Minori, aspiring idol! Nice to meet you, Tenma-san.” She gave him a smile, and he smiled back at her.

“Same to you, Hanasato.”

They exchanged numbers and soon went their own ways, agreeing to meet at the music shop in one week in order to do the exchange. However, both could already tell.

This encounter was the beginning of something that could potentially grow into something special.

————————————

For the next couple of weeks, things seemed normal enough. Every week, they met up in front of the music shop and exchanged the set, just as they had planned. In order to make the trip feel worthwhile - as opposed to the obvious “just exchange the set and leave” - they went to a nearby café and talked for a while. Through these small talks, they learned a lot about each other. Tsukasa learned that Minori is part of an idol group called More More Jump!, and one of her teammates was the same Haruka-chan that she looked up to. Minori learned that Tsukasa is part of a theatre troupe called WonderlandsxShowtime, and a lot of the members were very eccentric. They both also mentioned something about meeting Hatsune Miku at one point, but, for some reason, the Miku that they each knew didn’t match the other’s description. Perplexing.

Whenever they were at home, they took the time to send each other messages and photos of their experiences with the set. During one of their previous talks, Minori had mentioned wanting to improve her dancing and singing and Tsukasa wanted to practice projecting his voice as well as his poses. Whenever one person saw something that could help the other, they would send them a video or a picture with simple timestamps and suggestions.

As time passed on, they soon began to grow closer as friends. Minori even dropped the “-san” from the way she referred to Tsukasa, now calling him “Tenma-kun.”

They continued the exchange of the box set, but they soon started taking the time to talk to each other about other stuff. Tsukasa would send Minori pictures of his time rehearsing or the adventures he had with his sister, Saki, and Minori soon started sending him pictures of when she was at practice. They continued their meetups at the café, and things seemed to be moving forward normally.

Tsukasa, however, noticed that something was changing. He just could figure out what it was yet.

————————————

The sun was shining bright, and Tsukasa waited outside of the music shop for Minori to show up. She was the one who had the set that week, and he was simply waiting for the exchange and for them to be able to grab a bite to eat.

“Tenma-kun!”

Tsukasa heard Minori call out to him as she ran towards the music shop. Once she got to the storefront, Minori took the time to catch her breath. Did she run all the way there? She wasn’t running late, right?

“Hanasato, are you okay?” Tsukasa reached out to her. She was a bit winded, but she soon looked up and gave him a smile and nodded.

“Sorry, Tenma-kun. I overslept and I almost missed my train…” She giggled a bit before taking a deep breath and pulling herself.

Tsukasa groaned a bit before he looked down at her again. He noticed that something was off.

Not exactly “off”, but something was missing. Taking a closer look at things, Tsukasa soon realized what it was.

“Hanasato, where’s the DVD?”

Minori gasped a bit. Her eyes soon went wide and she began to twist and turn and tried to look around for the set when she finally realized that she had left the bag with the DVD on the table and forgot to take it before she ran out of the house.

Minori nervously laughed and put her hand on the back of her head. “I think I forgot it at home.” She quickly put her hands together and held them in front of her. “I’m so sorry, Tenma-kun! I was in such a rush that I forgot to grab the bag…”

Tsukasa sighed a bit, scratching his head before he gave her a small smile. “Not a problem. Just bring it next time.” He turned to the side before quietly saying to himself: “I kinda wanted to see you today, even if you didn’t have the DVD…”

“Hm? Tenma-kun, did you say something?” Minori raised her eyebrow a bit. Tsukasa quickly covered his mouth with his hand, now realizing that he had said that out loud and almost to the point where she could have heard him. He cleared his throat before giving her a confident smile. “I said nothing at all! Now, we might as well get going. It’s better for us to enjoy the trip than to get upset over a forgotten DVD.” He laughed, which made Minori smile a bit before she gave him a nod.

Arriving at the café, Minori and Tsukasa sat down and placed their orders. Minori ordered a berry parfait and Tsukasa ordered some pancakes. As they waited, Minori decided to look out the window for a while. Tsukasa couldn’t help but notice that Minori seemed different to him. Looking closer at Minori, he noticed that she was a bit more “sparkly” than usual. She seemed brighter, and it wasn’t just because the sun was hitting her face at just the right angle. She looked at peace as she stared out the window, and Tsukasa couldn’t help but blush a bit at the sight.

“Pretty…”

Hearing Tsukasa’s voice, Minori turned her head to face him. “Tenma-kun, did you say something?”

Strike two.

Tsukasa quickly coughed and turned his head to side so Minori wouldn’t see how red it was. “N-no! I said nothing at all!”

What was up with him today?

“Well, if you say so…” Minori looked a bit concerned, but as soon as Tsukasa smiled at her and nodded, she smiled back and turned her attention to the window once more. Tsukasa groaned. “ That was close…

Finally, their food had arrived. Minori’s eyes sparkled as she set her sights on the massive parfait in front of her. She pulled out her phone to snap a quick picture, but soon realized that something was missing from the picture.

“Hey, Tenma-kun.”

Tsukasa, who was about to take a giant bite out of his pancakes, looked up at Minori.

“Do you mind posing for a picture?” She smiled at him while holding her phone. Tsukasa blinked a couple of times before setting his fork down and fixing himself up, giving her a thumbs-up when he was ready.

“Okay! Here we go! One…two…three!”

Tsukasa wanted to try and give the coolest pose he knew, but the picture would have come out awkward. Instead, he opted to give a simple peace sign and a wink. He heard the camera “click” and let his pose down. Minori smiled as she quickly typed away at her phone, humming as she did so. Tsukasa smiled a bit at the sight.

“And send!” Minori quickly put her phone in Tsukasa's face. “Ta-da!”

It was a simple SNS post, the caption reading “Having lunch with a friend! (^ω^)”. Tsukasa chuckled a bit at her excitement from the post. Minori glanced at her phone as she read through people’s comments, a smile on her face. Most of the comments were things she expected:

“I hope you’re having fun!”

“Enjoy!”

“The food looks really good!”

However, as she continued to read down the list, something caught her attention. She re-read the comment over and over again before she realized what it was saying. Her face went red as she gave out a small “Eh?!”

Tsukasa, who was eating away, looked up with concern. “Hanasato, what’s wrong?”

“Well, um…” Minori began to fidget with the phone in her hands as Tsukasa picked up a cup of water and started to take a sip. “There was… one comment…and I’m not sure if this is the case but…” She took a deep breath.

“Ithinktheythinkthatwe’redating.”

Despite her speed, Tsukasa heard her loud and clear. He almost spit out his water and started coughing, hitting his chest with his hand as he tried to catch his breath. His face went red as he turned back to face Minori. “Da-da-da-dating?!”

Minori nodded quickly. She showed Tsukasa the comment, causing his face to grow red at the sight. He groaned a bit before he slumped in his seat.

She quickly typed something and sighed a bit. “There. That should be okay, for now…”

Tsukasa placed a hand on his forehead and sighed. “‘Okay’ in what sense?”

“I said that we were friends and that’s it.”

Tsukasa coughed a bit when he heard this, but soon sighed and gave her a small smile. “Y-yeah! We’re simply friends! Nothing more, nothing less.” There was a hint of uncertainty in his voice; although, it wasn’t immediately noticeable. He quickly poses, trying to get rid of the stiffness in the air. Minori giggled at his action, meaning that it worked.

“Yeah! We’re just friends.” She gave him a small smile.

With that situation out of the way, Minori soon turned back to the massive berry parfait in front of her. She smiled, a bit of a sparkle in her eyes, before she yelled out “Thank you for the food!” and began to eat.

She hummed a bit as she ate, enjoying every bite. Tsukasa couldn’t help but watch her for a bit. She seemed like a little kid enjoying an ice cream, and Tsukasa couldn’t help but chuckle.

However, he couldn’t help but feel his heart beat faster the more he watched her. He felt heat rush to his face, and soon he realized that he was blushing once more. Tsukasa put his hand on his chest before he quickly shook his head and turned back to his food. As he cut the pancakes, he couldn’t help but think.

Just friends, huh…

Was that really the case?

————————————

It wasn’t.

That wasn’t the case at all.

At least for Tsukasa.

As he lay in his bed, he thought about his previous experiences with Minori.

They had met through a simple mishap involving a box set. Once that was settled, they began to meet up to exchange the set, and soon they began to hang out much more than usual. Every time he was with Minori, he felt something that he couldn’t describe. She easily calmed his nerves, and she never questioned the way he acted. She was always there to help him reach his dream of becoming a massive star, and he always worked to support her dream of becoming an idol.

They worked hand-in-hand, supporting the others’ endeavours. They should have easily just been friends and nothing more.

Then why?

Why was he becoming more flustered around her?

Why did his heart skip a beat every time she smiled at him?

Were they really “just friends”?

Tsukasa tried asking Saki about it - he used vague details as to not expose himself or his supposed feelings - and she said that it sounded like love to her.

She had also said, if he was in love, he should just confess and get it over with. Apparently he wasn’t as discreet as he would have liked

Tsukasa sighed as he looked up at the ceiling.

Was it really love?

As he closed his eyes, he remembered their last trip to the café. He remembered the way he acted around her. He remembered the way she smiled at him. Soon, his face soon turned red once more.

Oh God.

Oh God

It really was love.

Tsukasa groaned before flipping himself over on his bed.

What was he supposed to do now? You don’t mess around with stuff like this.

He needed a plan, something foolproof. Something that guaranteed success. Something that wasn’t going to ruin his future at all.

Closing his eyes and clutching his pillow, he began to think hard. He went through every possible scenario in his head, from the cliche to the extreme and even the impossible. All seemed hopeless, however…

Holding on tighter to the pillow, he sighed and was about to go to bed. He flipped over once more and was going to call it a night when he noticed something out of the window.

It was bright. Sparkling, even.

The stars.

As he walked over to the window, he noticed the sky and all of the stars in them. It was beyond captivating, and Tsukasa couldn’t take his eyes off of them.

A new plan began to appear in his head.

This was it.

This was the plan that would work.

“That’s it!”

He laughed to himself, doing a small victory dance to himself. He heard footsteps approaching his door and froze in place as the door opened.

“Onii-chan! You’re being too loud!”

“My bad.”

————————————

Pacing around his room, phone in hand, Tsukasa contemplated his plan one more time.

“This is it… this is it!”

He laughed to himself. He was feeling confident.

All of those feelings were soon replaced with massive feelings of panic and doubt.

What if it didn’t work? What if she was confused? What if she wanted to cut all ties with him after that?

Tsukasa quickly slapped himself on the cheeks and shook his head.

No.

This was going to work. No doubt about it.

Now looking at the phone in his hand, he quickly opened his messages and searched for “Hanasato”. He typed out a quick message.

Tsukasa: Hanasato! Are you up to hang out today?

She responded instantly.

Minori: Yeah! (^ν^)

Minori: I have practice in the afternoon, but after that I’m free!

Tsukasa: Great!

Tsukasa: Meet me in the park at 21:00? (9:00 pm)

Minori: Sure! I’ll be there as soon as as I can

Minori:(^∇^)

Tsukasa: See you then!

Tsukasa sighed and began to mentally prepare himself for what he was about to reveal to the girl.

————————————

Current time: 20:55 (8:55 pm).

Tsukasa waited at the entrance to the park, tapping his foot. He crossed in arms and looked in both directions in anticipation for Minori to show up. He sighed a bit as he thought about what he was about to do.

“Tenma-kun!”

Looking to his right, he soon saw Minori running up to the park entrance, waving at him as she smiled. Tsukasa was surprised to see her running again, but he soon smiled back at her.

Once she stopped right in front of him, she bent down and caught her breath. Tsukasa crossed his arms once again and sighed to himself. Minori looked up and smiled nervously at him. “Sorry, Tenma-kun! I missed my first train and the second one took 20 minutes to arrive at the station.”

Tsukasa chuckled at her words. “You never have the best luck with trains, do you?”

Minori laughed a bit before she dusted herself off and stood up straight. “Now, what do you want to do here?”

Tsukasa’s plan soon filled his head again. His nerves returned, but he managed to keep his composure. “To be honest…” He posed and quickly snapped his fingers. “There’s a spot I’d like to show you.”

Minori’s eyes soon sparkled when she heard this. “Really?!” She moved closer to him. “Where is it?”

Tsukasa jumped back a bit, but soon he soon gave Minori a confident smile and chuckled. “That is a secret! I wouldn’t want to ruin the surprise before it happens.”

Minori gasped a bit, causing Tsukasa to laugh at her reaction. She smiled at him and walked up besides him. “Let’s get going then.”

Tsukasa soon took the lead and guided Minori throughout the park. She hummed and skipped a bit as she waited in anticipation for what Tsukasa had wanted to show her. Tsukasa looked back at her, noticing her happiness and curiosity. He blushed a bit before turning his attention back to the path ahead of him.

Soon, they arrived at a staircase. Tsukasa gave Minori a signal to follow him up the stairs, and she did just that. It wasn’t a long way up to the top, but the anticipation made it feel like a journey.

As they reached the peak, Tsukasa turned around and held his arms out. He smiled at her before simply saying: “Here. This is it.”

As Minori ran up the last couple of steps, her eyes soon widened as she got a good luck of what he was showing her.

It was the stars. They were all shining brightly, illuminating the sky as each twinkled. The view of the city was also there, the lights from each building adding to the already gorgeous scenery.

“This is…” Minori slowly turned to face the boy next to her.

“I’ve known about this spot for a while. I just had to wait for the right time to show it to someone…” Tsukasa scratched the back of his head.

“Pretty…” Minori moved to the railing of the perch and placed her hands on it, taking a deep breath and admiring the scenery. Tsukasa slowly moved next to her, also placing his hands on the railing.

“It reminded me of us two, in some way.”

Minori quickly snapped her head, gasping a bit at Tsukasa’s words. He didn’t seem like he was showing off in any sense. He looked calm , almost. He had a soft smile as he looked at the view. “We have our dreams, right? You said you wanted to be an idol like the one you admire, and I want to be the biggest star the world has to offer.” He looked down and sighed before continuing.

“We’ve already worked hard, and we’ve helped each other a lot at this point.” Tsukasa turned to face her.

“And I think we can reach even greater heights together as well.”

Minori gasped at his words. She felt heat fill her cheeks. Where was he going with this?

Tsukasa sighed once more and looked down, taking the opportunity to place his hand over hers, which was still sitting on the railing. Minori’s face went red, and she looked at him as he tried to find the words to say next.

“Hanasato, I…” Tsukasa’s face soon turned red as well as he continued. “I don’t know what it is but… I can’t help but feel something when we’re together. I really appreciate the time we’ve spent. You’ve always been so supportive, and I will forever be grateful for that. But…” he groaned, wondering if he was saying the right things.

“I think I might be feeling something more .”

Minori’s eyes widened as she heard him speak. “What…?”

Tsukasa laughed a dry laugh, and he turned to face Minori. She was still in shock, not knowing where this was going to end. He took the chance to squeeze her hand, and he continued.

“You’re a girl with amazing dreams, you know. Always trying her best, even if bad luck comes her way. That’s pretty inspiring, I would say. You can easily be like one of those stars, shining brightly for everyone to see. I guess I would like to be a part of that journey, in some way.”

“Tenma-kun…?”

Tsukasa sighed again. He was now facing her, making direct eye contact. Minori could see how red his face was, but she still didn’t know what he was talking about. Tsukasa briefly looked off to the side before he spoke up once more.

“Forgive me for this.”

Minori soon felt Tsukasa place his hand on her cheek, slightly lifting up her head and slowly leaning his head in. She knew exactly where this was going, and soon started to panic a bit.

“Wha-what-wha-“

Before she could finish, she felt his lips against hers.

Minori’s eyes soon went wide, not knowing what she should do. She gasped as she processed what was happening.

This isn’t a dream, right?!

Tsukasa, on the other hand, didn’t seem as flustered as one would expect.

Internally, however, he was a massive bundle of nerves.

Minori wasn’t doing anything, so he soon started to doubt this plan. “ This was a terrible idea. She’s not doing anything. Did I mess up? Does she not feel the same? Does she-

Before he could finish going over that mental list, he soon felt Minori place one of her hands on his hand, which was on the railing, and the other on his chest. Opening his eyes, he soon found that Minori had finally relaxed herself into the kiss. Overjoyed with emotion, he closed his eyes once more and moved one hand to wrap around her waist. Minori followed his action and placed her other hand on his chest. She took the chance to smile a bit, and Tsukasa smiled back as he continued to kiss her.

They enjoyed their little moment, the stars acting as a witness to their small moment of bliss.

Pulling back to catch their breath, Tsukasa gave Minori a giant grin before he pulled her closer to him, wrapping his arms around her waist and hugging her tightly. Minori did the same, hugging him back and smiling after what had just happened. They stood in silence for a while, the only sound audible being the sound of their racing heartbeats.

Tsukasa was the one to break the silence. “I guess you know what that means, right?”

Minori nodded. “Yeah.”

“I love you, Hanasato.”

“I love you, too.”

Tsukasa quickly lifted up her head and gave her a quick peck, causing both of them to smile. Minori giggled before she spoke up.

“You don’t have to call me ‘Hanasato’ anymore, you know.”

Tsukasa jumped a bit at this. “What do you mean?”

Minori grinned at him. “We’re going out now, right? It’ll be kind of strange if we keep calling each other by our last names.”

She had a point.

Tsukasa sighed before his face went red once more. “Well then… Let’s do our best, Mi-Minori.” He hesitated a bit.

Minori giggled at his nervousness. “Yeah. Let’s do our best, Tsukasa-kun.”

Tsukasa pulled her closer to him, taking the chance to kiss her forehead as they took another look at the view in front of them, the stars illuminating them as they stood there.

To think that all of this happened because of something as simple as a CD/DVD box set.

Notes:

And there we have it! I’ve never been more nervous to post a fic tbh, so I hope everything is okie. I might come up with more stories for these two, I have a couple of ideas (whether they become real or not, only God knows).

Please leave comments and I’ll see you soon! ^^
