Current time: 1:32 am.
The Tenma household was completely silent, save for the soft snoring of the two people resting on the couch. Tsukasa was lying face-up on the couch, peacefully sleeping. Minori was on top of him, her head resting on his chest.
The day before seemed normal for the most part. Saki had gotten the idea of having a small slumber party with Minori since she felt like it would have been a fun time. After talking about it with her brother, Saki soon called Minori and invited her over - Minori couldn’t believe what she was hearing at first, but she excitedly agreed to the plan nonetheless. She had gotten to the Tenma household at around 7:00 pm, holding a change of clothes, her personal belongings, and a bag of snacks in her hands - she had almost forgotten them as she quickly ran out the house out of fear of being late. Once inside, she found Tsukasa and Saki patiently waiting on the couch for her to arrive, quickly waving and urging her to sit down with them.
After arranging the different snacks on the table, Minori quickly changed into her pajamas, and the trio soon began to pick the selection for the night. Once they had felt confident in their lineup, they got comfortable and began their little movie night.
They laughed at the comedies, they cried during the dramas - Tsukasa was particularly emotional during a lot of the sad parts. Hours had passed, and the night still seemed young. At one point during the night, Saki quickly excused herself to grab a couple of things from her bedroom, leaving Tsukasa and Minori alone.
Twenty minutes had passed, and Saki finally returned with the items she was looking for. As she was about to call out to them, wondering how the movie was going, she was stopped by the sound of faint snoring. Looking towards the couch, she noticed her brother fast asleep on the couch with their guest right on top of him, peacefully snoring. She was taken aback by the sight, but Saki soon smiled and quickly grabbed an extra blanket from the closet. She placed it on them and giggled as she turned off the TV and walked back to her room to get some sleep herself.
As the time passed, the duo stayed like that, completely unbothered. However, one problem would soon become apparent.
Minori was noticeably more fidgety that night.
She moved around as she slept, eliciting a couple of groans from Tsukasa - it wasn’t enough to wake him up, however. She continued to toss and turn until she soon tried to flip herself onto her back, believing that she was at home and she was on her bed.
She couldn’t have been any more wrong.
The only sound audible was the sound of a giant thud. Tsukasa soon began to open his eyes a bit and began to sit up, assuming that he had knocked something down by mistake as he slept. He rubbed his eyes and yawned as he looked around to find the fallen object.
Instead, Tsukasa found his guest on the floor, rubbing her head and wincing a bit from the pain of the fall. A blanket was wrapped around her leg, with Tsukasa wondering how it got there.
He rubbed his eyes once more and spoke up, still half-asleep. “Minori? What are you doing on the floor?”
Minori jumped a bit, not expecting her fall to be loud enough to wake Tsukasa up. She turned to face him, an expression of innocence and nervousness on her face. She laughed a bit before responding. “Haha… um… well, I… I fell.”
Tsukasa would have inquired more, but it was way too early to think about how she fell. Instead, he takes the opportunity to lie back down and motions with his arm for Minori to get back on the couch. She does just that, carrying the blanket in her arms and wrapping it around them as she returns to her spot. They both get comfortable and Tsukasa quickly moves to place a quick peck on Minori’s forehead before lying back down again.
“Good night.”
“Good night, Tsukasa-kun.”
