Summary
Stuck between a rock and a hard place, Sabine was forced to choose between death for herself and her loved ones or fulfilling her vow and marrying Grand Admiral Thrawn. Now she must deal with the ramifications of that choice as she is taken far from everything she knows, confronted with terrifying, mind-boggling new truths and possibilities as Thrawn draws her deeper into his web.
For his part, Thrawn works to convince Sabine of a third path, between the Empire and the Rebellion, as he divulges the truth of his mission in the Empire and the shadowy groups massing in the Unknown Regions that threaten all life in the galaxy. And along the way, he begins to unravel the young Mandalorian's potential as he shows her what they could be, together.
Can she escape Thrawn and return to her Rebel family? In the end, will she even want to? And will Thrawn finally meet his match and someone who could stand by his side as his equal?
