Summary
One year, six months, and fifteen days—that’s how long Dean Winchester’s been sitting in jail for robbing a general store, soon to be joined by his brother, Sam. When they devise a plan to escape and get Sam back home to his soon-to-be fiancée, they’ve got no choice but to take the third member of their chain gang, Castiel Novak, with them. Dean’s been trying to crack the case of the irritatingly silent (and infuriatingly handsome) Castiel since he’d arrived, with no luck. Once they manage to lose their shackles, the three of them embark on an adventure running from the law and making a name for themselves as wanted fugitives, unsuspecting tagalongs to a bank robbery, and folk superstars, with Dean falling harder and faster for Castiel all the while. Perhaps the whole thing—every unexpected, haphazard minute of it—is all it’ll take for Dean to finally figure out what’s going on in Castiel’s head…and maybe find his way into his heart, as well.
