Chapter Text

RUN . that the only thing was going through his head right now. He needed to get out but it was  a maze “ oh izu there's no use in running give up my little bunny”. No. no, please no. not here. Please anywhere but here.

 He kept running trying to find a way out of this hell, some sharp hit his leg causing him to fall, he looked back and saw that it was a scalpel. He removed it quickly and continued to run, but when he looked ahead there was nowhere to run any more it was a dead end. ”really izu, did you really think you could escape me” in a flash he was on a surgical table. His hands and feet were trapped. He couldn't move. He struggled against the straps.no, please, i don't want to die “since you wanted to try and escape again, i guess that last times punishment was not enough, so i have to step it up” oh no “ i'm only doing this to protect you from a cruel world” lies “ once this is over i want you to think about how many people you could have gotten killed if you left” he drew the scalpel along my abdomen. It hurts so much, someone plz help me.  

Izuku woke up in cold sweat to the sound of his alarm going off. He pushed himself up and to the side of the bed, he looked at the clock that read '5:00 AM' he groaned and he went to the bathroom to do his morning routine. When he came out and he picked out his clothes and quickly put them on, after he got dressed he looked at the time '5:47'. he went to the door across from his and opened the door to Kota sleeping peacefully in his crib, he opened some drawers and got an red onesie with black pants out and set it on his chair.

Izuku went to the kitchen and started to make breakfast, which was omurice and eggs&furit for kota. He went back to Kota's room and knocked softly and went into the room to see Kota sitting up rubbing his eyes. " hey buddy " Izuku said with a soft voice, and Kota made a noise of acknowledgment. Izuku picked up kota and went back to the kitchen and placed him in his high chair, he placed the eggs&fruit in front of kota while he ate his Omurice.

After Izuku and kota ate he helped Kota get dressed then headed down the stairs to the cafe, he opened the back door and came in the kitchen to see the owner getting the ingredients to make some of the pastries with, Izuku hung up the house keys and put kota in the kitchen on the counter then put on my apron. ”morning izuku” mr. mori said cheerfully “good morning mr.mori” Izuku smile at him “ i see that you still have kota with you” mr.mori smiled back “yeah kotas parents said that their trip is gonna last two more days'' he said nonchalantly “well i hope they pay you extra” mori said joking “nah, they don't need to, i like babysitting kota, he's one of the more easier kids to handle and he's really sweet” Izuku said thoughtfully. 

“why not take the extra money, they always offer when they have to leave kota with you for longer than what they say”mr.mori questions “because I don't mind watching kota longer then I have to plus i already earn enough with what you and they pay me”. Mr.mori sighed and went out front to set up and clean the tables while he got a start on the pastries and morning foods and drinks, when had the drinks done when he looked at the time and it was '7:35', it was very quiet in the cafe customer weren't there yet, so he went to the office and turned on present mic's radio show on and connected to the speakers in the cafe. 

Now that there was noise he went back to the kitchen and continued on the pastries and easy to make breakfast items, after he finished the pastries and foods he looked at the clock and saw that it was opening time. Izuku stopped what he was doing and went to the front. Izuku saw that Mr.mori had flipped the sign open and turned around and examined the cafe,the bluish grey walls with dark wood tables, white both covers and chair cushioning.

Izuku went to the back and opened the cat food and placed the cat food into bowls. He set the food bowls down along with water bowls in the alleyway next to the cafe.

At this point customers were coming in and he cleaned up and Mr.mori handed him  the order papers and he started with the drinks then food. Once he was finished with that he handed mr.mori  the drink tray while he carried the tray with food. Once they were finished handing out orders, Izuku went to the kitchen and played with kota, kota and izuku were drawing shapes and numbers in the flour when more customers came in. izuku looked to see who it was and saw that is was some heroes that he assumed that just got off patrolling,

 “hold tight ok kota'' he smiled towards kota as he ruffled kotas hair, kota whined and grabbed his hand as a sign to stay “ I promise to be back in a sec” kota let go and pouted. Izuku chuckled and went to the table where the heroes chose “ good morning, have you decided on what to drink? ''.

Izuku smiled towards the heroes he now recognized as eraserhead ,midnight ,present mic,and ingenium. “ uh yes we have i'll have a milk tea with a strawberry parfait ” ingenium spoke up then eraserhead'' i'll have coffee, the strongest you have” then P.M “ i'll have chamomile with honey please”then midnight “ i'll have a peach tea my dear” she said as she smiled at him” would you also like a peach parfait,it will go great with the tea” he smiled back “ that would be great” he wrote their orders down. “ will that be it” “ yes” ingenium smiled “ ok i'll be back out in a couple of minutes.Izuku went back to the kitchen and saw kota still drawing shapes in the flour, “ see i knew you could wait” izuku praised kota looked back at izuku and smiled, izuku rubbed kotas head and started making the heroes drinks.

 After everything was made he put everything on a tray right before he picked it up he heard kota whine. he looked at and saw thay kota was making grabbing hands at him”kota i'll pick you after i drop this off “ kota didn't listen and still made grabbing hand while pouting, “ kota i'll just be a sec just be patient” kota put his and down and Izuku saw tears prick in his eyes, just as kota was about let out a loud sob izuku went up to him “ if i bring you with me will you not cry” kota nodded and izuku picked him up and put him on his hip. 

Izuku carefully grabbed the tray and went out front to the heroes table,when he got there they were looking at him with wide eyes, Izuku set the tray on the table and let everyone grab their stuff before taking the try back “is that everyone's stuff “.

 “ yeah but before you go” izuku let out a quick yes before ingenium continued “ is he yours, i mean i don't mean to assume or anything you look a little young” ingenium sounded concerned ,but izuku just giggled” no hes not mine or my brother im just babysitting him while his parents are out of the city of a while” izuku just smiled while kota hid his face away,Izuku looked at kota ``want to say hi kota'' kota looked at the heroes and made grabbing hand but with just one ‘ close enough ‘ izuku gave kota a smile.

``Well enjoy'' izuku walked from the heroes, izuku got in the kitchen and set kota down on the counter next to the flour and then got him out food to eat. “ now you have to stay here ok my little bec d’eau” he booped kotas nose and left to collect plates and cups and from other  tables. 

after he collected the dishes from tables he collected the money from the able as well as he was collecting the normal amount of money ( which was 20 or 30  dollars or 2,098yen ) when he got to the table the heroes were at, they had paid over what they owed he pocketed the money that was over and went to the front counter to put the money up. When he was finished with the money he looked over at the clock and saw that it was ‘1:10pm’.

 Izuku decided that he would close up early and open later at night since Kota would be asleep and more customers, so he cleaned and closed the cafe.

 Once they got up stairs he put kota down for a nap, once kota was asleep he’d have an hour or two to get to ingeniums agency and return the overpaid money. He put on his shoes and started his hour long walk to ingeniums agency, about half way  there he saw a villain fight up head he new if he were to wait for it to be over if at least take an hour or two and kota would be up by then so he opted to go through the alleyways to get to the other side which would take about 20 minutes. So he went into the alleyway, and as he was about to reach the other side he was stopped by a low level criminal.

” What's a little small thing like you doing in an alleyway?” the low criminal said, smirking “ trying to find my way out” izuku did not want to deal with petty criminals today. “ well how about you come with me and we could have some fun” the criminal sounded smug and full of him-self before izuku could say anything else a knife hit the criminals neck making him bleed out which izuku just stared emotionless at.

He looked at which way the knife came from and saw the hero killer stain with a look of disgust on his face which he assumed was towards the low criminal bleeding out in front of him.

 “ thanks for that stain” for quick moment izuku saw a little bit of surprise “ how do recognize me i have half of my face covered” “ well i know that you work in alleyways and i've seen you blade before plus your nose” izuku grabbed the blade the his sleeve and handed it back to stain with a glare.” i can tell you still have questions but unfortunately in need to be somewhere or some one at home will be very grumpy when he sees me, so i'll be going” “ but” izuku cut if off “ and if you want to find me at mori’s cafe on the rooftop at midnight”.

 Izuku was out of the alley way when he checked the time and it was 2:50, so he started a fast jog to the agency . By 3: 20 he made it to the agency he slowed down and walked in. It was a spacious reception area but to be expected by a wealthy hero family.

 He went to the receptionist and waited patiently for her to end her call, when she ended her call she looked at him with a small smile. “ Thank you for waiting. How can I help you, young man?” she sounded polite. “ I was wondering if you could give this to ingenium”. she sighed “ im sorry, if its a gift for him it will have to be inspected” izuku just smiled “ actually it's not a gift, it money, to be specific it's his money early to day he went to my bosses cafe and he overpaid and i wanted to give it back because it's pity and i don't do pity, so if has to be in spect that's fine, i just want to make sure his money is back to him, good bye”. 

Izuku left the lady wide eyed and mouth open when he left.when he left he ran as fast as he could back home luckily for him the villain fight had been done with and was being cleaned up, he zoomed by and had no further complication getting home. 

When he got home it was quiet, too quiet. Kota was usually awake by now and he didn't hear any crying or yelling. Izuku slowly walked to kotas room, when he got to the door he quickly opened it to see Kota on the floor playing with his toys. “ kota'' in relief and disappointment kota looked over at him and held out his arm, when izuku picked up kota he started crying.

 “It's ok kota i'm not leaving you i just had to do something that took longer than expected”, izuku sat down in the rocking chair he'd use when kota would wake up in the middle of the night and cry. Izuku lightly bounced up and down trying to calm kota down, at this point kota was reduced to sniffles.

” im sorry kota, i should've tried and get home faster” kota pouted and smacked my hand ,“ yeah i deserved that, but on another note, how did you get out” kota pointed as his crib and he saw that the side of the bars were done and a blanket on the floor. “Very smart my little water spout” he booped kotas nose, izuku looked at the time and saw that it was 5pm  “ how about we get a snack and watch a movie” kota smiled at izuku and made grabby hands.

 izuku picked him up and went into the living room and put kota in his rocking seat and grabbed kotas strawberry cereal puff bag and gave them to kota. Izuku put on a Disney movie. 

By 9:30 pm izuku had finished the movie, had dinner, had a bath and put kota to sleep and gotten his own pajamas on. Izuku Laid in his bed as he set an alarm for 12am and then went to bed hoping for no nightmares that plagued his dreams.

Chapter Text

It was quiet as a mouse in Izuku's small apartment, but as soon as it struck 12 a phone alarm went off. Izuku flipped over and turned off his alarm, izuku sat up and put on some sweatpants. He got up and went to check kotas room to see kota still sleeping soundly in his crib. Izuku looked at the clock in the room and thought it was time to head to the roof for his little Q&A with the hero killer.

As I reached the roof I could see that stain was already there waiting for me.” so you finally arrived “ stain said as he turned to face me. ``Yeah, sorry I had to check on kota before coming up” i got closer to him and stopped a few feet in front of him.

“So what did you want to ask?” “ Why were you in the alley?” “i was taking a shortcut” “why” “there was a villain fight and i needed to be somewhere” “ where?” “ ingenium agency” “ why?” right before i answered the baby monitor went off , i sighed and started going towards the stairs “hey! We haven't finished our conversation. ``I looked at Stain “ follow me” . He looked hesitant for a moment before he started to follow me.

Once I got inside i went to kotas room and saw him making grabby hands towards me. I picked him up and went back into the living room, I saw Stain on the couch with his shoes off. “ Hold him” stain looked like he was about to protest. I glared at him for a good minute before he took the small child in his hands.

I went into the kitchen and grabbed kotas snack and two sodas. I walk back into the living room to see kota and stain having a staring contest. I smiled at the scene and sat down next to them, setting down both sodas. Stain handed Kota to me and I fed Kota his snack, “so you have a kid?” I shook my head “ not mine, the water hoses kid” Stain gave him a questioning look. “ i'm a babysitter for them” izuku seemed mature for his age “why” izuku raised an eyebrow “ well first i like kids second extra money for the cafe and things i need” he made it sound like a stupid question.

Stain rolled his eyes and decided to change the conversation “ so do you own the cafe ?” izuku shook his head “ no my boss mr.morii does “ stain just sighed ‘ this conversation is going nowhere’ stain set his soda down and stood up,” thank you for inviting me in “ he bowed and started walking towards the door and izuku followed.

When they stop and the door izuku speks up “ if you ever need a place for a good and safe nights rest and a shower and some good food my door is open” stain looked a izuku and patted his head “ i'll think about kid “ izuku just smiled as he left” izuku looked down at kota asleep in his arms. Izuku took the koat back to his room and put him to sleep. When Izuku went into his room and saw a flash drive on his night stand he put it in his drawer and pulled out clothes for work and laid down then went to bed.

Chapter Text

Sun shined through the window in izuku's window. Izuku woke up with the alarm as always, he did his morning routine like usual, after izuku made breakfast he went to check on kota.
Izuku opened the kotas door quietly and saw that kota was still sleeping, he sighed and closed the door.

Izuku looked at the door across from kotas and opened it, there was parts everywhere in there, there was small parts on the shelf and a computer on the small desk, he hadn't been in here in a while he sighed and closed the door and went into the mini dining room/kitchen and ate his breakfast.

While washing his dishes he saw on his work calendar he had shopping duty this month, so he wrote up a list of items he thought and remembered the cafe needed. Izuku went in kotas room and saw that kota was up babbling nonsense to himself “ hey kota” when kota looked at him he had the cutest look on him izuku could've just melted.

Izuku walked towards Kota and picked him up and placed him on the dresser, while Izuku grabbed clothes and Kota decided to play with izukus hair. When Izuku got Kota dressed he fed him and put him in the grocery waggon then grabbed everything he needed for the store and headed out.

After they get to the supermarket he gets a cart puts kota in it and starts their shopping trip. he went down the different aisle looking for the stuff he need for the cafe.Izuku grabbed the regular three different cookies and cake mix, and then brownie mix, he grab things for Dorayaki, Taiyaki, and dangoI. Izuku was going down an aisle looking for tea and coffee when he saw coffee grounds in the corner of his eye.

When izuku looks he sees that it's a boy his age, with purple hair that looks like it's been electrocuted, his eyes matched his hair and you could tell that he was tired by the bags under his eyes. Izuku goes up to the boy “ you should try caffeinated tea”. The boy was startled for a second then whipped his head towards izuku , “what?” he said, sounding startled

“oh,Sorry for the startle” izuku smiled “ I'm izuku” and smiled and reached a hand out to the boy. He had a confused look for a minute then went into a bored expression. “... im..shinso” he took izukus hand and shook it. ” Introduction out of the way” ”Have you tried caffeinated tea?” Shinso shook his head. “ I'm not really a tea person,” he said as he shrugged.” well if you want i can recommend a good cafe” and shinso raised an eyebrow, “ sure.” Izuku checks his pockets for Morris' business cards, and when he finds them he gives one to shinso.

At that moment Kota started to make loud babbling noises,“ Who's that?” Shinso asked, “ that's Kota, I'm babysitting him ” “ how old is he?” He sounded surprised . “ He's one” shinso nodded “ i know its kinda a random but you mind if i join you guys shopping trip” before izuku answered shinso spoke again “ i have my own money if your worried about that “ izuku just smiled “ sure i don't mind if you join “. And just like when Shinso joined their shopping trip, Izuku was able to grab everything he needed with the help of shinso.

After getting everything they pay and put everything including the waggon. Before izuku and shinso went their separate ways they traded phone numbers then they left. When he was walking back to the cafe they were passing by a beach, well it looked less like a beach and more like a dump.

Izuku could see something pink among the trash, when he walked closer he could see it was a girl, he picked up kota and went down to the girl. when he got to her he could tell she was very focused “ um excuse me?” the pink haired girl didn't seem to hear him “ excuse me?” he said louder, this time the girl quickly turned around and looked around before landing her eyes on him.

When the girl's eyes landed on him there was silence for a minute before the girl spoke up “ hi! “ he raised an eyebrow “ hi, what are you doing” the girl perked up at that “ im searching for parts for my babies ``'' what?” “ my babies “.

She pulled out some device that looked banged up “ oh, ok” she just smiled at the response “ now , what are you doing here?” “ oh i saw you and wanted to know what you were doing “ “why?” “ cause i saw someone in a trash dump” “ hey its not trash, most are usable parts!” “ right” “ anyways, it's pretty hot today i know a cafe nearby with some good drinks if you want to follow me” izuku walked back to his waggon and put kota in it. About 5 minutes later the pink haired girl joined him.

They started walk and about half way there he remembered that he didn't tell her his name, so he stopped walking and turned to her and put his hand out, she tilted her head “ sorry i forgot to introduce earlier, my name is izuku” she smiled and grabbed his hand “ im mei hatsume!” Then they continued to walk. When they got to the cafe they grabbed a table and sat, and he put kota on the seat before getting up again “ hey hatsume, can you watch kota while i bring these groceries to the back?” mei nodded.

Izuku went into the kitchen dragging the waggon of groceries, he saw mr. mori mixing up cookie batter “ hey mr. mori i'm here with groceries!” Mori looked at Izuku as he smiled. “ Good , I was wondering’ when you were gonna get here, do you mind putting them away?’’ “ sure mr. mori “ after an hour and half izuku had everything put away. Izuku went back to the seat hatsume and kota were at, he sat down and noticed a tea cup was there “ did you get this for me?” she smiled and nodded “ thanks”.

Izuku picked up kota and placed him on his lap “ so what's with the kid is he yours'' izuku laughed lightly “ no hes not mine and his not my brother either” “ his parents have been out of town for a while, their on vacation and i'm their babysitter” “ anyways enough about me , want to tell me what you were doing in a junk pile in 80 degree heat?” she smiled “ like i was saying before, I was looking for parts for my babies!” izuku cocked his head “ babies ?” “ yeah!I'm an inventor!” Izuku could tell she was passionate about what she does.

Just then a familiar head of purple hair walked in, izuku balled up a napkin and threw it at him. When shinsou whipped his head around and looked at izuku, izuku smiled and waved. Shinsou waved back and walked to him and sat down.

Izuku introduced shinsou to hatsume, after a while they all got comfortable with each other and they were having a conversation about something when kota started making a fuss.

Izuku decided this would be a great way to invite them to his house “ guys would like to come to my house i need to feed and put kota down for a nap” they agreed they got up and left, they went around back and went up the stairs “ you live above the cafe?” They went inside and Izuku went into the kitchen while the other two sat down.

Izuku grabbed kotas food and gave it to him, after he fed him he picked him up and went into his room and put him down to sleep. When izuku went back into the living room he saw shinso and hastume on the couch sitting awkwardly next to each other.

Izuku went into the kitchen and took some snacks and drinks and brought them into the living room to set them down, he sat down and crossed his legs “ so what's your guys favorite colors?” There was silence for a moment. “ what?” izuku just smiled, “ What's your guy's favorite color?”
