    He eyes Jonathan appraisingly as he ascends the stairs behind him, imagining the contours of his body underneath those worn clothes. He really doesn’t look all that terrible, all things considered. In Dio’s mind, he is still settling—but the thought of knocking this cocky boor down a few pegs does fill him with some small satisfaction. Perhaps he will even manage to make him cry. That would be a treat indeed.
