Summary
Lan Wangji was captured by the Wens a few months Cloud Recesses was destroyed; Meng Yao, having infiltrated the Wen ranks and gained favor, spends a year trying to keep her alive. When the Sunshot Campaign is closing in on Nightless City, Lan Xichen arrives alone to assassinate Wen Ruohan, and fails.
