Summary
Set after the events of DESCENDANTS 3. Audrey undergoes a period of self-loathing and being hated by Auradon, especially when one of her friends passed away and they think it's her fault. She joins Gothy Gothel, who seeks to find her older half-sister Cassandra, who has never been on the Isle of the Lost. Certain that no one will miss her, Audrey goes with Gothy and the two go over Auradon's border wall, where Cassandra lives on the other side.
Using a series of riddled clues, Audrey discovers that the other side of the wall is full of people and creatures who fled to the other side when their worlds were torn apart to create apart and they refused to give up their freedom and pick a side: joining Auradon or going to the Isle. As she helps Gothy and undergoes a series of self-discovery, Audrey encounters the hedonistic Crystal Maze, the chaotic Beatrice Deetz, a city of villains who adore the Queen of Mean, and a demon she accidentally summoned when she first transformed.
Dangers still lurk though: ancient contracts, a secret curse, flesh-eating monsters, dark sorcerers and witches, demons, a crazy demigoddess, and the demon whose fate is far intertwined with Audrey's than they ever realized.
